Going to the categories for helps you multitask. You are finding remodels and the sections (categories) of the store that will penny on remodel day. Sale items could mislead you because it can be a clearance event, 3 day sale, or discounted price so just ensure that it is 50% off
So do you need to find a remodel so you can find other stores around there? I did check my stores within 40 miles and none appear to be a remodel. Are there other signs? Thank you! Great video!
You're welcome and no it's not necessary to know of a remodel before you can locate one. Other than a store being tagged and the methods that I've shared in unaware at this time of any other signs short of an employee telling you directly.

I have a list of items that normally go in my List too & change area & check. Only done 2 remodels, both times was under 4 people at them early...scored car full.

This is the primary reason that I don't search locations for people. I believe folks need to have something invested for themselves because it's easy to blow it off when they didn't put in 8 hours behind the computer.

I checked the few stores in my area by following these tips from the video but unfortunately none are remodeling at this time. But want to keep my eyes open 👀 😂
@@sisu4134 First let me thank you for subscribing to my channel. The stores remodeling aren't really on a set schedule ( unless it's in their corporate office memo) that I'm aware of. The stores remodel for different reasons as well. Example: a regular DG might become a NCI store (a store with more home decor). One might remodel because they're adding a fresh fruit section of they're in a food desert. I've gone to stores that remodeled January and then again 4 months later in April. Can I suggest that you keep a Google doc of stores that look old, broken freezers, over crowded toy sections. My most recent has 3 toy sections, crazy, so for lack of a better phrase they were downsizing.
What are the chances that 3 stores in the same town will remodel the same week? Monday, I found 3 stores in 1 city that have half price food. And underwear, socks, some cereal, fresh foods also half off.
Chances are like 100% if all of the frozen food is half off sadly😭😭. If it's just the regular shelf food that's half off and only 50% frozen at 1 store then fingers crossed that the other two stores won't penny too that aren't 50% off frozen food. I totally hate when that happens. Three just went on Mother's Day in the same area for me. I still got a cart full at the second store but it's nothing like being there when the doors open. Two years ago I had 5 go on the same Sunday and they were all within 45 minutes of each other. If there was ever a day that I could've gotten behind cloning😂😂
@stretchourdollars they all 3 did. I was able to go and look at them Friday but not Saturday. Other people looked Sat. 1 store had piled TONS of it on table up front.....they pulled it all. Not sure about the other one. The one we went to had 5 sets of people, 11 in all, until we told regular customers what we were doing then a few jumped in too. Us 3 together got 3 carts. Everyone was so nice! We shared things, traded, helped get things off the shelf, etc. It was a great first experience! Took 2 hours to check out....session learned, get in line earlier!

Don't forget to check back at that store or stores because remodel items continue to come in on the trucks sometimes and they get restocked. I've gotten items from stores that have remodeled as long as a month later😂

You can still find remodels with using the DG app. I'll do a separate video, slower, and shorter for you guys. Your "never too old to learn" attitude is refreshing❤️

l am going to try 😃 l know my store remodel is the 30th but yesterday they had a whole crew of people (who dont work for DG) they were in the store scanning and filling boxes... but my store has all the 50% tags up and those items are stocked... so far l checked frozen and no 50% yet but the underwear and things like that are showing 50% in the app so l need to figure out when l need to show up.. would it be tomorrow?
Yes, they only happen on Sundays. However, even after the store pennies they sometime restock the same items and they will still ring a penny until they reset the price in the system.
