- On this episode of Under The Radar Michigan, Tom takes viewers on a trip to Disneyland ... but this one's in Hamtramck, and it's one of the most colorful and eclectic collections of Americana you'll ever see. Tom also gets hip at a retro, resale shop called Detroit Threads, and eats at a Mexican/Asian fusion restaurant ... Then Tom will show you how to become German in Frankenmuth, and take viewers to an international festival where they literally turn snow into a show. Episode 111.
Great show!!
That guy is a great host. Gotta love his cheesy jokes and friendly spirit. Great show.
Hamtramck is one assume city!🇺🇸
I always liked Michigan. I've been there many times. My heart aches for Detroit though. In 1960 Detroit boasted a population 188 million and was one the finest industrial cities in the world not just America. In the early 1900s the architecture on many of there buildings was second to none.
Frankenmuth is incredible- if you havent been there you must go. Germany in the U.S. But where's Bronner's!? Cool place!
Thank you!!!! I so enjoyed this episode.........
Okay, when he pulled out the VHS of Shaft-- that made me chuckle

No, they got out of the restaurant business and just make their overpriced salsa, Maria's Comida became Rock City Eatery which in turn became Fat Tuna, a sushi restaurant.
Hamtramck is filthy!!!!! My husband will not take me back to there.
I concur 😢
