I’m considering a C15 for my touring bike, so am looking forward to the update report you teased.

I don't know if this has been mentioned on the various bike fits you mentioned you had had, but your right knee goes very 'sideways' when you pedal, it should go straight up and down. Just wondered if anyone had mentioned before. Great video about the saddle - I am thinking of getting one too.

I'm not too proud to take constructive advice so I'll be keeping an eye on that for sure - hope the saddle works out for you if you go for it 👍

And thank you for watching it and commenting 😁 I found the C17 so rock hard but surprised how well it works and I really need to do a follow up video as promised in this one but haven't been well for several weeks 👍🚴‍♂️

I really hope this new saddle suits you!
I’m very lucky that most saddles are fine for me. I currently use a Flite Titanium, Selle Italia Turbo and various Fizik (they come in Celeste colours, much more important than something mundane like comfort!). I have also used both Brooks B17 and Swallow saddles on a vintage Claud Butler with fixed wheel, didn’t really think much of them and the (old) Swallow fell to bits...

How are you getting on with the C17 ? I have just bought one to try to get rid of pain on one of my sitbones after an hour or so. Up to now it seems OK. I did a 100km ride on it, and reckon that it feels a bit hard, but not particularly painful. Mind you, I stop for coffee and a cake every 90 minutes or so, which might be helping.

Your fuelling strategy makes you my kind of cyclist !!
For a while I've been aware I've left following this up for too long. One thing that got in the way was 8 weeks of injury and illness but ironically that has helped me settle on the C17 (for now). I'd been on and off other bikes for various reasons so it wasn't so easy to have a "clean" assessment but only yesterday was my first 50 mile ride, with backside in tip top condition 🤣
I'm with you on it still feeling hard but the flexibility of it must be doing the trick. I'll be sticking with it for a 14 day traverse across France in September unless someone can suggest another that flexes like the Brooks Cambium and also has a little bit of padding . Pretty sure the flex is the key for my butt anyway 👍🚴‍♂️

@OrdinaryBlokeOnABike thanks very much for that information, I suspect that I will have a similar experience to you. I've subscribed to you and look forward to seeing your upcoming trip.

I was like that with a saddle on a hired bike a few weeks ago which was no where near as hard as this one. Jury still out for me but it’s no as bad as it was for you for sure, I can almost feel your pain !
