    Just got this as a replacement utility shower for the service compartment in my Bounder. This is a tremendous improvement over the old shower with the permanently attached conventional RV shower hose and shower head. Now the hose isn't just flopping around inside in the compartment and the spray nozzle is so much better. I mean, who really "showers" outside their RV in front of their sewer/service compartment? 1. There isn't anyplace to hang up the shower head. 2. the hose isn't long enough on that old style utility shower. 3. The the shower head might be ok in a shower, but spraying stuff off outside your RV requires different water patterns. This is just what the doctor ordered.

    • @GoingNoWhereFast

      Glad you found it, We'll have to see how long it takes for the RV industry to figure out its worth adding to the OEM lineup. Thanks for the comment ! Come back anytime !

      Going NoWhereFast the service access for the faucet in my service compartment was pretty tight so I had my local RV service shop do the install. The folks there are looking at their supplier relationships as they think this is about the best utility shower they have ever seen. They seem to intend to stock it for aftermarket replacements.

      @@GoingNoWhereFast I agree with you that manufacturers need to move to this faucet and hose over what they are currently doing, but based on my experience manufacturers are anywhere between 3 and 5 years behind actual RVers and the aftermarket. On top of that they frequently really miss the mark in terms of new features and what the market really wants. Cheers.

    Rick, great upgrade to add to the versatility of your A-Liner, Is it possible to change just the hose and nozzle? In case want to do this also as much cheaper and easier if able to. Just added as installed a black outside shower unit in my compact stick & tin (wood frame & aluminum siding) TT. Found a great location between the existing outside water connections and water heater. Had to cut a new hole, a perfect fit between the wood studs, then splice into existing water lines using T connectors with the blue & red PEX-b plastic tubing. Doing plumbing in a TT isn't much better than doing it on your house, every new connection (8 total for the shower unit) has to be 100% perfect, no drips. Much trial and error to see which connectors fit best until it's drip free. But in the end it's worth all the time, trouble,and expense.

    • @GoingNoWhereFast
      @GoingNoWhereFast  6 років тому

      Absolutely !! And if your smart, you check all those connections at least once during the camping season, because things loosen up with road time and different pressures, different uses, all wear on the systems much more than a house.

    • @GoingNoWhereFast
      @GoingNoWhereFast  3 роки тому

      No, Unfortunately not. But you can "lock" the spray head on and use it like a regular shower. There is a little lever to do that.

  • @bobgil3464
    @bobgil3464 4 роки тому

    Were you able to drain the water out of the hose? I prefer not to have an issue in winter storage- don't want it to freeze and break. Thanks for the great video!

    • @GoingNoWhereFast
      @GoingNoWhereFast  6 років тому +1

      The Hose is flexible enough and will expand without breaking or cracking, at least until it is really old and dried out. In winterizing your trailer, the hoses aren't usually the problem, its the hard plastic connectors and water pump that if the water freezes and expands, it cracks those items. And they are very hard to find and figure out they are what is damaged, versus just "Not tight enough". And that is why you add anti-freeze to the whole system, making sure it gets to the end and visibly flowing out the nozzle or faucet. Thanks for the comment, let me know if you need more info.

      Since its a bigger pistol grip nozzle and the hose is twice the length and coiled, it does not fit back into the shower area. I put it into my "water system" bag. Where I keep all my potable water stuff. The truth is, my old one never fit into the compartment very well either. Especially since I had changed to a oxygenetics shower head.
