Sheesh, the classic "author writes a book about revolution without having an ounce of self reflection" scenario 😵💫 we hate to see it (Free 🇵🇸)
I laughed so hard at the quote "we should be snapping his neck expeditiously", truly iconic! 😂
I think I never read the hyped books you do solo reviews for but best believe I'm gonna turn up to watch the whole thing 🍿👀
I haven’t read FW or IF, I literally just love Monte and will show up for the word. Doin the Lord’s work out here “in these bookish streets”. ❤ 😂
not reading either of these books is honestly like living in the best possible timeline
I needed more hatred for these big books because it's the blatant lying surrounding these books. they're not talked about like the romance subgenre that they are. they're talked about and edited to sound like these world epics with woven political drama, commentary, and new spins on old classics. I think that's why my own hatred for Fourth Wing (and now Iron Flame) is because of this fact it's trying hard to be something it's not.
That and Rebecca being a flaming zionist!
i think that most readers, at least in the context that i have seen, have flocked to this series for the romance. while i could see that about fourth wing this is similar to a lot of other half baked fantasies that center on a rebellion trope that have been popped out over the last half dozen years by however many other authors
I love your reviews lol your honesty is always needed
it feels good to hear people enjoy reviews because they're easily my favorite kinds of videos to make and watch
I saw people mentioned this series and similar books as fast fashion of publishing. I agree
“We should be snapping his neck expiditously” took me out 😂😂
I think the pressure to include “twists” and “reveals” into fantasy is really ruining stories these days.
The dragons was a 5 and the overall book was 3.5
Something about “we should be snapping his neck expeditiously” tickled me wayyyy too much 😂
Honestly, if you were to explore the divergent evolution of Dragons, it is very likely that they are probably a new classification of animal, not reptiles. They aren't cold blooded, but they do have scales and lay eggs. So possibly some kind of bird? But they don't have feathers and hollow bones (as far as we know). So yeah, probably a new classification, 'Draconian'.
i was so excited for this book and it ended up being my 13th reason
Do not support pro genocide authors. Free Palestine 🇵🇸
I gave it 3 star but 5/5 for the dragons only thing that kept me reading 🐲
I returned my copy after hating Fourth Wing and realizing she’s a garbage human 😊😊
I'm mad that I bought her book now that I know her "stance" with all that's been happening in Palestine. Had I known she would not even have the courage to condone what Israel is doing... I would have never read her book. Because how are you going to write a story that is so heavily reminiscent of what is happening in this "conflict" and then not even have the guts to say anything of substance? Instead she took the neutral route... just disappointing.
i think that a lot of other readers are in a very similar position and have similar feelings
❤❤❤
I'm not a fan of romantic fantasy or whatever you want to call it. Give me regular fantasy every day of the week.
that's fair. i'm trying to not dabble in fantasy as a whole these days but my curiosity gene always has me picking up books that i have no business rushing to read
I read fourth wing and was entertained. Finding out her values makes me not want to read iron flame. Shall wait for my library copy, it probably will be the new year by the time it my turn to borrow the book however my library is ordering more books. They got 181 physical books and another 118 on order not including the ebooks.
yeah, my library also ordered an outrageous number of copies given the area i live in
