I had a 2014, then a 2017, now I’m in a 2020 Limited and I’m loving it! Never had an issue with any of my Compasses (knock wood) - the 2020 is a lot peppier than the others were, and even a basically fully loaded Limited, I didn’t have a sticker price of $38K - maybe it’s higher wherever they are, but not as much here in NY. Only had it a month and a half, but so far I’m happy!! :)

If I'm being honest with myself though It's to the point now where I'm just watching to find out how many twinkies I can cram into my armrest and how many jolly ranchers I can shove into my glove compartment.

I test drove a Jeep Compass Limited, which I absolutely loved. The interior is super nice which really sold me. The interior doesn’t look cheaply made as I feel the Toyota RAV4 does. I will say, the compass is slow when it comes to gaining speed. I currently have a V6 car which easily gains speed in a quick time. This Jeep is slower. Gas mileage is a lot better than my v6 car. For a small suv, I actually really like this. The interior and the exterior look really nice. In my opinion, the Compass delivers on both sides. Whereas, the RAV4 or even the Ford Escape has nice exteriors but the inside of them looks cheaply made to me.

I have one i love it but, jeep should fix the below:
    - Add more room for keys, mobile, wallet, glasses
    - Windows buttons control need to little shifting back because when you try to push driver window, your hand will push the back window putton
    - switching off auto stop function.
    - add 360• camera system.

Oh man I remember being at an airport Hertz once, I had booked a full size sedan and the goofball at the check in booth gave me the keys to a Compass. This was back in 2015 or 2016 so it was the hideous old model. I went back to him in a furious rage and demanded he rectify the situation. Five minutes later I drove away in a Cadillac XTS!

I've got a 07 compass with 327,000 kms (203,000) miles. My parents got it in December 2010, with 72,000 kms (44,000) miles. It has been a fantastic car, had the original 2.4L engine and cvt transmission. Unfortunately it's getting pretty rusty and most repairs exceed the value of the car. So it's going to the scrap yard pretty soon. Which really saddens me, because it still runs and drives beautifully. Like this 2020 he reviewed.

I have a 2021 Jeep compass limited it is loaded with everything you can imagine I don't know where they get the sluggishness from because I do 0 to 60 and approximately 5 seconds the secret is the oil it seems to be too thin that's what makes it rev higher and it makes the motor work harder to get up to the speed necessary. So all you have to do is put two STP oil treatments into your oil tank make sure the oil is hot when you do it allow it to mix with the oil that's already inside the engine at this time the rev from the motor will drop by 90% and then when you hammer on the gas all that noise will be gone and all the power will be sent to the transmission to have you catapulting through the air at the greatest of ease on the road I got my Jeep to go up this highest 100 and 24 mph and you didn't even hear the motor running so the rumor has it that Jeeps are weak when it comes to speed it's just a rumor by Toyota people which are constantly trying to sell their Chinese or Japanese made garbage the 2020 2022 Jeep compass is awesome all you have to do is some refinements with the oil and that will be STP two bottles of STP original oil treatment will have your Jeep running 214 horsepower and 0 to 60 and 4 to 5 seconds try me if you doubt what I'm saying and this is with the tiger shark engine.

I have a 2018 Jeep Compass Latitude and I've had quite a few problems with it, especially in regards to the auto stop/start system. It's a very slow and clunky system and they have had to completely replace the system twice, both batteries, and the sensors in it because of issues that I have had .... which started 5 days after I bought the car. The 4WD is helpful in my snowy northern climate, though I would guess it is relatively unnecessary in most of the country. Honestly, the car feels slow. The interior is nice, and you will be babied with all the tech and options that cost much more in other car brands. That being said, I do not recommend to most people to get this vehicle. In the three years I've had it, it's been in the shop for days at least twice for problems that were covered under warranty. The paint is also not great, it has already started to rust by my back hatch.

I have a 2017.5, one of the very first of this 2nd gen to roll off the lines. Great video but a couple things you got wrong, you are off on the weight by more than 1000 lbs, there is NO TURBO on the 2.4, there is NO LOCKING DIFF (center or otherwise), you called it a "really good 4x4 system" but have never actually driven one off road... as an owner for going on three years and 50k miles across the country of everything from Minnesota up north winters to mountain highway travel I can tell you for certain it is merely a "really average all-wheel drive system". Its a totally OK system but no better than a CRV or any other average AWD crossover. There is no low range and no locking diffs, I've gotten it stuck in mild situations several times and the 4x4 modes are neat but they are not magic. The engine is stout but the 9 speed gives it a terrible rap for being low power. The engine itself is not low power, the transmission just makes terrible use of it sometimes, shifting manually yields much better results when towing or doing roof cargo with increased wind resistance. Your review didn't have the model with the towing package but I highly recommend that. It fixes your issue with the bottom of the rear bumper (how it looks) and its a surprisingly capable little puller if shifted manually. Your 2020 tester has some things we wish we had on our 2017.5, such as the cooled seats and the memory seat positions. Our driver's seat is power but not the passenger seat. I agree with another commenter who said the rear seats are uncomfortable, its true the angle is bad and non-adjustable. They are OK for taking people on short trips only or for children. Rear cargo space is decent but its worth noting you can NOT fit a set of golf clubs back there comfortably without folding down one section of seats. Other than those things its been a great little car for us done all kinds of moderate towing and adventuring. Fuel economy is decent but not amazing. Ours only rang in at 32k and its a "Limited" trim, 38k sounds way high even for your tester edition many of them go way cheaper than that and still nicely equipped. Even still, thanks for doing the video 99% awesome other than a couple spec errors and I don't think you should try to speak to anything's "4x4 capabilities" if you haven't actually driven it off road (personal opinion). I still subscribed and thumbed up.

I loved everything about it except for the rock hard seats. That was a deal breaker. I drive a lot and could not see myself sitting in them for more than few hours. The seats in the Cherokee, however, are perfect. I could sit in them for days. They remind me of the 2019 Escalade seats I sat in at an auto show. Fit like a glove. Firm but very cushy in the right places.

I just bought a 2020 Jeep Compass Sport which came with a lot of options. I like the wheel covers on the Sport with the Sport Appearance Package and I like the smaller wheels,16 inch V 19 inch. I think the more expensive models with the big wheels and gaudy wheel covers are aweful. My Compass has a more simpler look which I like. I hate all the crap they put on the expensive models and whats worse you have to pay extra for the ugly look. I love my Compass and the best part its a plain Jane and looks great!

I have a 2020 Compass Trailhawk that has a 2.4L - Jeep does not have a turbo for the 2.4L - clearly there is no turbo charger visible on the car you were reviewing when you opened the hood. The acceleration on my 2020 Compass Trailhawk seems faster than my 2017 Jeep Renegade Deserthawk. Your review of the High Altitude was a fair appraisal of the performance and features of the car.
