Hello József, I'm trying to use some post processing resources, specifically, hydrodynamic coefficients, but these coefficients are not being calculated, they return values of 0. Does it have to do with this installed version, openfoam2206-default?

The "native" Windows version still uses minGW (Minimalist GNU for Windows) so you will never have a fully Windows native version. This is currently the best option regarding simulation runtime.

@@DarthNova-cm2ns Most probably you are trying to open a long path in Linux or Windows. Try the entire path of the directory. It may be less time consuming to just navigate with the mouse into the folder.

When I tried to give blockMesh command it showed a FOAM FATAL ERROR : ( openfoam-2206) The parent directory does not allow write permissions to the process…..!! Dear Jozsef, I encountered an issue where when I type in 'explorer.exe .', it did not open up my Ubuntu home but rather my PC Documents folder, and because of that I did not manage to locate the .bashrc file. This error also pose a problem for when I want to visualise the result of the simulation using ParaView since I cannot open the Ubuntu folders, hence, also not be able to locate the .foam files needed for ParaView. @@mustafaertugal4527 I had the same problem and it's fixed. after restart my laptop I typed 'sudo apt-get update' , 'sudo apt-get upgrade' , and then 'sudo apt-get update' in order in terminal. openfoam2206-default should be available.

I am glad to help. Helyx OS may be helpful to you as it is a free open source GUI for OpenFOAm case setup. There is also a FreeCAD plugin.

You cannot use hyperthreading. Use --oversubscribe in case you want to circumvent it.

You can also use the absolute path to your folder instead of the dot.

You can of course redefine $FOAM_RUN, it is just a path, nothing fancy.

Use Windows Paraview instead.
Please make a video on how to complete uninstall openfoam from windows 11.
This is easy. Command in Windows terminal: "wsl --unregister ". Here is your distro name.

This error also pose a problem for when I want to visualise the result of the simulation using ParaView since I cannot open the Ubuntu folders, hence, also not be able to locate the .foam files needed for ParaView.

@@mustafaertugal4527 I had the same problem and it's fixed. after restart my laptop I typed 'sudo apt-get update' , 'sudo apt-get upgrade' , and then 'sudo apt-get update' in order in terminal. openfoam2206-default should be available.
