First: “The Godsrain” just might be one of the most heavy-metal titles I’ve ever heard of. Second: I CANNOT wait for the Animist & Exemplar…I legitimately cannot decide which will come first.
Agree! I love mythic rules, and the way they're setting them up for PF2 is way cooler than the way they did in PF1. I don't even think there was a lore setup. Just a random book drop.
Can’t wait to have this book so when the champion or cleric in my game dies to the high level boss during a mythic campaign so I can bring them back as a biblically accurate angel.
Oh no, Starfinder 1e to 2e event is COMPLETELY different and arguably even more cataclysmic. Aucturn, the Stranger *_hatches._* Nyarlathotep tried to siphon it for power, but Shelyn shows up to stop him only for Nyarlathotep to kick her ass, which leads Zon-Kuthon to jump in and save her but still isn't enough. So the two of them FUSION DANCE into Zon-Shelyn and whack Nyarlathotep out of this reality so hard _he's no longer an accessible deity for worship in Starfinder._ This battle and sudden release of energy from Nylarathotep getting walloped caused Aucturn to hatch into a new Outer God. *The Newborn* and its birthing cry echoed throughout the universe.
You guys planning on making a video game adaptation like owlcat did with wrath of the righteous? Mythic paths and rules are so fun. They were also well loved.
I think Paizo will always be developing their games as tabletop games first. If people want to license video games from them great, but the adventures will be written with tabletop play in mind rather than plans for how they can be adapted. There is a Kickstarter upcoming for a pf2e video game though! And there's already a 2d one in Dawnsbury Days, which has an expansion on the way to take it up to lvl 8. They're different to what Owlcat is making but Dawnsbury was very fun and I'm excited to see what Ossian Studios do for Dragon's Demand
@@HuevoBenditothey said in an event they made about a month ago that if they were to return to pathfinder they would use the 2e but that as of now they aren't working on anything pathfinder related
Mythic powers, huh? Man these could be really useful for remaking one well known and beloved adventure path that had something to do with mythic powers *hint *hint *cough *cough
Owlcat has said they're not against making another PF game, and they're not against PF2 either. It's just they have their hands full right now. They're developing two of their own games and publishing two games from different developers. That's a full plate. If we do see another Owlcat PF game, and god I hope we do, it's gonna be years down the line. But that could actually be a good thing. If by that time PF2 is wrapping up, they can do the amazing job they do and include content from ALL the books that are out at that time. The ultimate PF2 video game experience. Won't have to worry about game releasing and then a ton of new content coming out after and we're left wishing we could've had that in the game.
Preview some of the mythic stuff, please! Even just like, one ability, haha. In about 3 weeks, all the subs and PF2ubers are gonna be doing full previews anyway. You can beat them to the punch!
You're both hilarious, ngl. But to be real, that sword is so transparent that I doubt it's supposed to be anything but a decoration. Maybe it's to worship the inheritor before she became a god?
War of Immortals uses the remastered Pathfinder Second Edition rules and is published under the ORC License! It is also compatible with legacy content (pre-remastered rulebooks).
Archfiend and Ascended Celestial huh? Am I crazy, or do these new Mythic Destinies seem to be taking a cue from Owlcat's Wrath of the Righteous Mythic Paths as opposed to 1E? Not that I'm complaining mind you, I've played the hell out of Owlcat's games.
Wait wait wait, the god that died is Gorum… and Achaekek is the one who kills him? My brain… I Have So Many Questions Edit: so I have been able to stay away from spoiler info about WOI this whole time and didn’t think there was going to be spoilers about the God that was going to die. Edit Edit: Literally the next video I rewatched about Gorum had a comment that said “Rip Gorum” from 4 months ago. how I missed that I don’t know
Mythic characters are supposed to be stronger than non mythic characters but every other option in the book will more or less be in line with their other content they've released. The app Pathbuilder 2e let's you make Pathfinder 2e characters for free so you could investigate this yourself if you wanted.
So far my experience is the classes have a lot of balance between them, especially after the remaster version. The community mostly feels that one of the base classes (fighter) is the current top dawg for mechanical power in game (depending on the campaign, obviously). I would be surprised if the Paizo team had this release be any significant power creep, and Fighter would still likely be the top combatant.
Almost all of the strongest classes in the game were printed in the very first book, and if anything it’s the classes that were printed later that have needed more support to get up to par. That’s not to say that there are no individual power level mistakes that were made in later books, but in general new material is not stronger than existing material. (And extreme power level mistakes often get fixed.)

Nice! I don't think I was ever this hyped for a RPG book lol

Huzzah!!!
Huge things change when deities die. This Death will ripple through time and space to force the evolution of Starfinder into StarFinder 2e.

Gorum was already not really present in Starfinder, IIRC, and is largely replaced by Damoritosh, even in SF1e. I guess this explains why.

Paizo don't got a video game arm. Gotta look for a studio that's not Owlcat since I think they're more partial to 1e
@@HuevoBendito I'm wondering if the OGL nonsense might persuade Owlcat to move to 2e.

Shout out to the Stag Lord's gravelly voice.
PS UA-cam lists Usher in the People field (Aroden will return and Usher in, lol) .
Thank you, this warms my heart. :) I hope you look forward to the next piece of work I do for Paizo!
The new Don Lafountain . He just needs to say ," in a world of ............."
TLDR: Giant possessed armor killed by giant bug, causes problems for everyone else.
Can hardly wait for this book to drop!
I love how old school the book cover looks
Here we go!
This feels so 2000s I love it. My childhood.
The Animist and Exemplar look great. Nice work
To be honest? I very super hyped for this book. Its been a long while since I felt goosebumps and hyped for a book. I excited!
Killing Gorum.. bruh
Let’s do this friends!!!!
Oh shit! This sounds awesome!
There's so much about this I've been excited for, and I'm only sad I won't be able to play it all.
Sad Gorum is the god that's died dude was my favourite deity
(aside from Apsu)
yep his armor wasnt made of plot. =/
So there I was, on pathfinder infinite and wow. there is some good stuff there!
Oh that’s interesting. Taking our war though is rather risky. Wonder if there will be Arcadian ties considering the Tree’s there
The book contains a gazetteer on how the War of Immortals affects places all over Golarion (including Arcadia!)
R.I.P. to Gorum,,,
i low key expected "mythic power" theme to start playing when they announced mythic destinies
Hype train!
Exemplar looks so much like Maui?
So you're telling me theres a vacancy for a new god of war? Time to create an even more heavy metal god.
Make them a Goblin, just to confuse people as to how the hell they pulled that off.
World shaking events! LFG!!
"Will you Fight?"
Wait, so they're blending 1e's Mythic Tiers and Wrath of the Righteous' Mythic Paths together? Hell yeah!
The visual design for the War of Immortals title made me think this was either a comic or a cartoon-style videogame lol
So crazy they killed a god!
Keep up the wonderful writing!

OH God, Owlcat has the opportunity to do the funniest thing
I loved Gorum huhuhu. Curious how my Gorumite character takes this news.
Ultra noice

GORRUM IS LOST!
GORRUM IS LOST!!!
S'raining gods rn
I feel like the quality went up is it just me?
Haha, yeah, they're getting there. The voice acting was God-awful in these earlier Paizo trailers. Now getting better.
I do feel compelled to ask how much metal the Paizo staff injects directly into their veins whenever they make new content.
I need owl cat to make a godsrain crpg so bad.
But… but… I want the blood pony!
0:25 I don't think this is how you hold a sword
Well, the narrator did say that it was an age of confusion...
You're both hilarious, ngl.
But to be real, that sword is so transparent that I doubt it's supposed to be anything but a decoration. Maybe it's to worship the inheritor before she became a god?
New to PF, is this book compatible with remaster or is it meant for vanilla 2e?

Shiny.

or a fusion of both
What did you think about the Stag Lord?😉
Holy shit they killed Gorum!!!
Love that Red Mantis god, no matter how impossible to spell his name is.
So uhhh Owlcat, War of Immortals setting CRPG when?
Wait wait wait, the god that died is Gorum… and Achaekek is the one who kills him? My brain…

So, Paizo just straight ripped off Disney Maui's look.
That narrator's voice is rough. Tone it back little man, you've gone far too deep for yer voice.
I need to go deeper... *inception reference*
Only care for videogames. Starfinder especially.
Paizo cooks with the rules and mechanics but I'm not a fan of the reveals of Gorb and Gorum.
My god, the art looks absolutely wicked- I’m curious who’s taking Gorums place tho 🫢
Not directly, but as one of the core 20 gods, it's going to be Arazni.
Who will hold the domain of war, we do not know
