Do you think instructional videos are a waste of fire? What about all the other waste in our lives eating more food than we need, wasting our time on TV and such, neglecting family, etc.

We water it in 7 zones about 20 minutes per... every day for 2 weeks. I wish it would rain a lot of those days. LOL!

Thankyou for your really good videos, I have watched several of them now, unfortunately I cant find some things in England that you guys in the USA have. One is that 1049 I really would like one , of course I could pay the shipping but hey its a lot of money. I love the drill method, you make it look so easy which is due to the years of practice you put in be well and be lucky and most of all be healthy

Thanks for the video. I just started practicing hand drill and I’ve been having trouble getting coal. My property’s in an old pine farm, so most of what I have around is pine and spruce. Is it possible using pine or is it too hard? My spindle seems to be smoothing out rather than making much dust. Do you think it’s just a poor wood choice, my spindles not laying flat enough, too much moisture or something else?
Pine like any wood works well for a fireboard if properly degraded/decayed. See my hand drill playlist.
Of course the cable company shows up after the new lawn is in. When they walked up on you would've like to see you put your hand on the handle of your knife.

Is there something particular about ash that makes the fire roll work? Or would a substitute work, like fine dirt or something?

so if im in the woods and needed a fire and wanted to do a fire roll what could i use if i didnt have any ashes or cotton??
