First arrival Ever Ace at Port of Rotterdam |

- During the World Port Days 2021, on Saturday September 4th, the biggest container vessel in the world arrived in the port of Rotterdam during her maiden trip: Ever Ace. With a capacity of 23.992 TEU (twenty foot equivalent unit), Ever Ace surpassed the HMM Algeciras with 28 TEU. The Ever Ace is 400 meters long and 61 meters wide.
For it's arrival a special live stream was hosted and the ship was given a warm welcome by the RPA patrol vessels of the Port of Rotterdam Authority. The live stream was made possible by Marten's Multimedia: martensmultime...

I've seen a similar problem at Southampton Container Terminal in the UK, where there is so little water under the keel of a deep-draughted container vessel that the tugs have to push long and hard to displace the huge volume of water between the ship and the quayside, stirring up the mud on the bottom.
