The seaman has no life jacket on, he isn't clipped on AND most of all he walked down the inboard side putting himself between the Pilot boat and the receiving vessel. there are no man ropes, and the pilot ladder is made of the wrong rope polypropylene which you cant get a grip on, it should be a hairy type of rope, lastly the ladder is made by crimping the rope , it should be whipped; The pilot could easily have got on the ladder when the boat was at its highest. BUT as the ladder is not up to required standard the pilot had every right to refuse to climb it. music not relevant.
