I myself like Stetson. I wouldn't consider it a "Cowboy Cologne " however, I think of it as a country/rural scent. I live in Wisconsin close to Lake Michigan. When I was in my teens, I remember in a rural/country side town there was a field, or meadow that smelled sweet, flowery and earthy. The plant I saw a lot of was milkweed. Being that it was summer the milkweed was it's flower form, which smells similar to Stetson; sweet, flowery and a little earthy. So one could think of Stetson as a Country/Rural Scent. If anyone loves the scent of a country meadow in the summer....get yourself a bottle of Stetson Cologne, Aftershave or the Cooling Moisture. You might be pleasantly surprised!
I like Stetson Cooling Moisture also. At first I thought Stetson was powdery or flowery but it grew on me. There is something manly about it. I like the gift sets when they sell the Aftershave and Cologne. Have you seen the different bottle designs off it?
Afternoon... I'm interested in the Stetson, but It's a little beyond this months aftershave-cologne budget. Wondering about the "Proraso" aftershaves, and the "Fine" line-up? Also, the "Stephan" brand? Any suggestions? I'm a big fan of the retro-vintage aftershaves, all of the classic "Barbershop" scents. Thanks, friend. I haven't had a lot of experience with Fine or Proraso products. I have a number of reviews on Stephan's products, my favorites being the brushless shave cream and the Spice aftershave. Thanks for the comment and your subscription!
@@classicalgrooming Yes, I watched you "Spice" aftershave and because of it, I'm about to add a bottle to my collection. Thanks, friend...didn't you mention at one time your Dad was a classic barber? Take care...
I always loved this in the past (back in the 80's and 90's); but the current formulation gets a bit of a mustiness in the dry down (to my nose anyway). 🤷🏻♂️ That didn't happen in the past. I had to give it up and move on. 😔 Nice review though.

Yes! I bought a gift set in "anniversary" bottles as a back up set. Haven't opened them yet.
May need to go pick some up now
I find it closely related to the current formulation of Royal Copenhagen, in the drydown.

@@davestelling Believe it or not, it was my mother, who owned the barbershop with my step-father. He became her apprentice :) .
