망원동이요
강남, 한 river, 서울대. Maybe series with the neighborhoods of diff uni's :) nice for international students and language exchange students
i'm obsessed with this video series, it's the perfect mix of modern travel recommendations and historical context that i would never have been able to learn as a korean-american! i'd love to see videos on gangnam and seoul forest next!!
Oooh yes :))
Same!
Anna, this video is great. This is the first video about Hongdae that I have seen that is actual informative of the history of the area, but also fun to watch. Keep it coming with the content!!
The story of Hongdae reminds me so much of the West/East Village in NYC back in the 1970's to late 1990's. With NYU un the area a lot of student stayed off campus because it was cheap to live and close to the school. A lot of artist and artist lofts in the area, which created spaces for visual art and alt music to be seen and heard. Just like Hongdae gentrification and big business made it had of students and artist w/o money to live and create in the area.
Wow, now the West village is one of the most expensive parts of the city! 😧
Your vlogs are amazing. The historical and cultural facts are always interesting. Makes me want to travel to Korea faster than ever. 😍😍
I just love your cool girl guide to Seoul neighborhoods vlogs! They are super interesting and your well researched narrative always makes them super informative which I love! 👍🥰❤️
Thank you! Will do more :)
I think Kdrama ‘Age of Youth’ also took place in Yeonnam dong! Its about girls in their 20’s and slice of life genre so when Anna said Yeonnam is more catered towards women it made sense in the kdrama too! Also omg I love these neighborhood vidoes Anna! You are the cool girl! :D
Very informative and interesting! I like this type of video that allows people outside of Korea to get a glimpse into the different neighborhoods.
Hongdae looks pretty chill 🤩 btw your editing is excellent these days 👌
Thank you 🥹🙏
Loved it.!!great guide for someone travelling to korea for the first time!! Would love to watch more of these ❤️
This is sooooo good. Usually, all we see is the fun part, such as food and stuff, but as a tourist, these are the main things that one has to keep in mind. Thank you so much for this, Anna
Hi Anna, I just want to let you know that you are a good tour guide for anybody who doesn't know South Korea or plans on going one day in Seoul. Hope everything goes well with your business, and congrats on your new relationship. Good luck to everything else. 😁🤚
This was such a great video to watch! I hope you make more like this
So interesting, looks amazing, loved all your historical info and cafe tips. Thank you Anna 🙏💜
I love how you added bits of history about the location! Makes me more interested in visiting in the future!
I love that especially when you tell the history of the places you show and do research about them. Your videos are not just in the form of I went there, I ate and drank here. So thank you for that :)
Love your videos Anna! Keep working hard!
Anna! I love your videos! You just don't tell which cool places to go but also about the history of the place. I respect and appreciate that. I can't wait to visit the places on your videos when we go to Korea this October! 😊😊😊
Seoul is amazing place. I appreciate the detailed breakdown of all the best places to visit and things to do, and very proud of your accomplishments to partake in different cultures around the world. I support this channel.
It's a good video, I like the editing and you have a natural narrative, good job.

Omg I love this it’s really helpful to understand it more 😍 love this also could you do like a part 2 or something and just any kind of activity in Hongdae could you film it
Great content 😊 Really enjoying this video.
I miss that pie🍰🥧🤤
Let’s go again and try different ones 😋
DUDE, you hang out with Bella??? Glad to see she is still in Korea having fun!
I was cracking up at how you talk about cafe's marketing strategy with the flowers. Makes girls sound like bees and I love it because it's true. XD
They were friends before the show.
Thank you for the video, keep making more 😊
Thank you, Anna. This is really helpful.
It was so nice to see Bella!! 🤩
Good timing, I am visiting Seoul this weekend from Toronto. Thanks for the video.
이쁜 영상 잘 보고 갑니다.. 행복한 4월 맞이 하세요..
Plan on moving there next year , ty for this guide anna☺️☺️
Spent the whole month of February in Seoul and thought I'd seen a lot every day, but your videos are showing me more that I missed, so I will definitely be returning ASAP. I've very travelled to 40 countries (and this was the 2nd time in Seoul) , but Korea, IMO, is the BEST ( I KNOW it has faults, but the general vibe is GOOD). Keep up the neighbourhood videos, they give so much context to the whole Seoul experience 💚💚💚
LOVE your videos!
Thank you for wonderful contents of other areas of Seoul. Truly appreciate it! Btw, I stumbled to you via Tiktok 😅. A new UA-cam sub here after seeing your content! Much love from 🇨🇦
Anna, you can do any part of Seoul videos, they all good for me, thanks for sharing & looking forward for next one! 🇬🇧🙂👍🏻
These are so good!!
Thanks, Anna! I enjoyed this vlog! I've been wanting to visit Seoul. I will keep your tips in mind. :) I've heard that Seongsu-dong is called the Brooklyn of Seoul. Hope you get to do a vlog about that too. :) Take care always!
Hongdae tends to get get a bad rep but I absolutely loved it also restaurants are open late and some 24hour so when we went out of seoul for day trips or even just to another neighbourhood we could always come back and relax and know we’d get good food
the food and desserts looked amazing
Why do I feel like I wanted to go to South Korea ASAP?! So jealous of you girl hehe, btw, thank you for this! ❤
thank you for the fun video keep up the videos
I'm early.
Love the content from you:)
These are great videos, thank you
Great vlog Anna

Hi Anna, I just remembered how you were talking in one of your videos about your application for single inferno. When you announced that you are in a relationship (I’m so happy for you 🥰) I thought the same time “No chances anymore for single inferno 🤣” I send you lots of love from Germany 💕💕💕
Thank you for being happy for me! 🥰 I’ll just review s3 when it comes out hahaha

Hongae is my favorite town to visit in Seoul. Haven't been in 10 years. Sad to hear it's not as indie.

Just spent 2 weeks in Seoul, Hongdae was Def my favorite
Thank you for inspiration. We will come in Mai. Best wishes Siri and Uwe from Germany
I'm going to be in hongdae next week! What perfect timing :)
Have the best time! :)
@@anna.lee_jy thank you
Yoooo! They finally opened that Craft Hans!
Great video Anna it was very informative even though I thought I knew enough (doing research and learning different areas of Seoul) it was nice to learn more of history side of Hongdae! Quick question which app do you think works better in Korea Google maps or Naver maps? I heard Naver is and works like Google maps
i live in korea and would definitely say naver, google isn't up to date with a lot of restuarants/cafes and doesnt work properly. and naver is so great that if it was availble in my home country i would use it, just so ideal and easy
You should create a google maps of the places you mentioned too :o it will be especially useful for the places you showed with no names!
Done! It's in the description and pinned comments :)
Very good
Thanks for your tips @anna! I got approached by a cult today and I remembered your tip in one of your videos!
Hi, as always great content and information. Quick question for you, since I am going to be in South Korea in a few weeks and Hongdae seems to suffer from age discrimination, what places would you recommend for people over 30? Thanks.
Is Kelsey wearing the sweater she found in Vancouver? It's not ugly Kelsey, it's cute !!! Thank you Anna for sharing the Korean history. I so look forward to watching your content. You make everything entertaining. Hugs from Canada
Yes it’s that sweater!! 😂👍
@@anna.lee_jy Haha, I love it !!!
I see Kelsey is wearing her thrifted sweater from Vancouver!
Nice edit mang haha
My love😭😭
I wish to have a k friend with me , Im a little affraid to go alone ...its kinda difficult learning by myself some korean language in a short periode of time , but this is my dream one day to visit S .Korea !
First ❤
Thank you for this! I hoping to come to Korea for the first time in May, &my friend who was co planning it with me dropped out. I think my big worries are: navigating food allergies with the language barrier, and public transport. Can you do a video about how to visit the Seoul Tower? I was struggling with the website as it doesn’t have a good English option.
Download the app Papago and you'll be able to translate everything, you can even take pictures of text and it'll translate it for you! And try this link for the Seoul Tower english.visitseoul.net/attractions/N-Seoul-Tower/ENP000036, but I'll do a video on it too!
@@anna.lee_jy Thank you! Papago is definitly helping me a ton but it can get crazy like Google Translate sometimes. I'm probly gonna re-watch all your travel vlogs as I finalize my itinerary.
hey i arrived in korea two weeks ago and i came here completely alone (im 18) and i just wanted to reassure you that you can do it!! the first few days will be super overwhelming and you'll probably just cry and want to go home but that's normal and once you're over that it's amazing here. my korean is also not good but i've really never had a problem, you'd be suprised how far Papago and a bit of sign language can get you, and in stores/restuarants you barely need to speak, just point lol. also everything is just very easy here, especially the subway. i reccomend watching Korean Unnie's vid on how to use it and then you'll be fine. definitely download naver maps if you haven't already and bookmark attractions/cafes/etc. finally, if you're worried about not having friends, download bumble bff! it works the same as a dating app but for making friends, i've used it quite a bit and met some really nice people. even if you wont be there for long it's sometimes nice to check out places with other people, and trust me there are so many people all in the same boat. sorry for the long rant but i wish someone had given me some similar advice/reassurance when i first arrived because i was so scared, but im loving it now. good luck with everything!!
Maybe one day when you do your workout video, perhaps you can share your Spotify playlist or something? :)
I use UA-cam premium and soundcloud for my music but I'll do that at some point XD
Hi Anna, I recently just found out about your channel and I would like to
get to know what you do in UA-cam. Like, what kdramas you watched? I watched Dr. Romantic 2, Descendants of the Sun, My Love From the Star, Taxi Driver S1, Father is Strange, King Affection, Once Again, and more!
Anna, Please make a video in Cherry blossom 🌸 surroundings..
저도 안나님 영상보면서 영어공부하고있는데,
영어자막 따로 표기해주신다면 정말 큰 도움 될것같습니다!
Hongdae here I come😂🎉
Don’t lose the historical aspect of your vids. How a neighborhood comes into life and changes is important.
are there brow bars in seoul? where you can get ur brows trimmed etc
Was the restaurant Durian any good?
Thanks for the heads up on places i.e. that are not friendly to foreigners especially dark skinned people. I think this needs to be emphasized bc korea is not as friendly as people think it is.👏🏽🙏🏽
love you from nepal
Where did you get your tattoo done!
I had breakfast everyday at Coffee Brown when I was there. hahahaha
Where can I find Agust D Dday release events and cupsleeves in Seoul when I visit?
Sounds like Venice Beach back in the day.
Korean Pizza Club 보고 왔습니다 😊
Is that the husky guy you’ve mentioned on KPC?
A big Hi from kerala...
Where are good places older people can go to? For evening/night.
