  • I have completed one week of my 10 week challenge and I am so excited to share what I have done and what I have accomplished. I will talk about my weigh in and my plans for this upcoming week as I start week 2 of my challenge!
    I post daily vlogs on my eating and snippets of my day with whatever I am doing. That includes hobbies, reading, gardening, homesteading, cooking and whatever else comes my way!

    Good Morning Mary Fran! I am with you on this challenge. You are doing it! 🙌🏻 I am getting realistic about the amount of exercise I had been getting vs what I need to do. Got a little lazy over summer lol. I did a Zumba online workout and loved it! Great accountability this week!

      This challenge has already been a huge wake up call. I knew that my fitness level was slipping, I didn't realize how much until I started this challenge!

    Never hurts to track for a few weeks to see if something could be the culprit. Since I’ve been adding more protein, I’ve been tracking just to make sure my calories haven’t increased to maintenance levels or higher. But you’re the same age as I am. It just gets harder to lose. Just have to patient and keep trying. 👍

      Yes, it does just get harder when we reach this age doesn't it?? I have been actually shocked. I have been tracking and tracking what I 'think' is the right amount. Yesterday when I actually measured I found that I actually had been eyebaling it a bit lower. :-)

    Thanks to you, I'm adding in crunches and planks to my workouts and I have to say, the length of time you can do a plank is IMPRESSIVE. I'm like able to do 30seconds tops. You're killing it and motivating me to not only try new things but also push myself towards new goals. Thank you for bringing it ♥

      Those things are tough! I USED to be able to hold those planks....now i'm struggling...but building back up! :-) Glad you have added them. They really highlight weak spots!

    I know those extra Cals from sauces can creep in my downfall used to be mayo but I’ve changed to mostly like a hot sauce on fries burgers stuff like that as it’s not as many calories and you hardly put any on for added taste

    good morning. Mary Fran. maybe look into diets and exercises that concentrate on metabolism and hormones in women our age. I am having the same issues with the weight not coming off, and I think the stress of it causing me to retain the weight. 😔

      YES! it's crazy! I used not even be able to sit on the floor.....we have been practicing and the dog now lets me sit. laying down though....that's a whole other story!

    Don't give up. It may have been the cheeseburger or foods you ate out. It should come back off if you eat healthy at home.

      I am just trying to focus on the good I am doing my body, but I weigh every day and the scales are NOT budging!
