Fastracs are awesome machines. Many people hate them, they have their faults, but I don't care. I love them. It's like having an Alfa Romeo!!! I think you understand me.
Always good fun playing tig tag with tractors 😅.. mind the days when 40k was fast and 30k was the norm... but the 30k would always catch up on the hills especially jd 2850s and 705 volvo bm valmets 😅.. MBs unimogs led the way with an odd trantor about but the Fastrac fitted the needs more i guess over time.. still fancy an early ish one 185 with the Cummings..... stay safe 🏴
George has got the acceleration and the power when for towing trailers in pulling ploughs your mates on the other hand put a heavy trailer behind it it doesn't have the power it will slow down a lot more with a heavy trailer on
Hi George, we spoke at lamma about comparing 2 ford 6610's q vs super q cab, if you're up for it and fancy a run out to sheffield we could make something happen? Sent you an email cheers 👍
😂😂😂 awesome George old mate, you may need to shove your straight through on her lol. Do you guys have any sort of modules for the tractors over there? We have “diesel smart” module systems over here and I have one on my 2005 Nissan Patrol for towing the van and tandem of wood. She fkn flies. I’ve got a bit more Kw’s but gained a shit tonne more lowdown grunt and slightly better fuel economy and she runs much smoother.
Cos I've got a mate it's I've got a mate that lives around my area has got the exact same fast tracks in your makers you're fast track George has got the power to do pull implement and trailers
Going along Abbotts speed Only forty zetor tractors go Kimbolton trailers of straw Twenty years never break Down straw never court fire Think had fast track but have it long drive shaft went bang had in four wheel drive on tarmac Went back to zetor 8110 Think because they pull Do run up Everton hill with Trailer of straw with fastrac See straw catch fire bad Enough digger going Cockahatley nice Tw in Brum sir George
You can always tell who learnt to drive on the old tractors with out power steering. the thumbs are never inside the steering wheel. with out power steering broken thumbs were a common accident.
@@GeorgeSaunders Fair enough i have watched those, guess i was just expecting a longer walk-around video of all sorts of things and equipment 🤣 Nevermind it's fine! 😄
George.. What are the rules on going on a motorway with a Fastrac?? I follow alot of pages on Facebook and the other day on a police page, they had pulled a Fastrac on the A627(M) near Manchester saying it wasn't allowed on the motorway.. que a big debate on whether they were right or not...(according to Google, they are allowed).. What do you think..🤔🤔 BTW, I like yours more, I think the curved black grill looks better..
It's an interesting one, a few years ago when I worked for a contractor we got a confirmation letter from the police that allowed us to go on the M1 with a Fastrac baler and sledge on the back, if I remember correctly the 2 stipulations were a flashing light on the rear and I think a minimum speed of 25/30mph. We went on there a few times making sure we had the letter with us in case we got stopped although we never did, it was an odd experience with a constant stream of lorries overtaking you. Maybe the rules have changed now. But we certainly got confirmation from the police.
What makes it better? real question, im going to test drive one of those next weekend, i have been try to find 3230, but here in finland there is not much of those "new" bigger fastracs. So i just want to test that 3185 even it it little older.
@@AmisCorolla having used both on haulage work 3185 on paper may be less power but it definitely pulled better ie when you hit a hill it would keep pulling for longer compared to 3230 before had to drop gears
@@davidgoss4234 interesting. btw do you know can you retrofit front pto to those? Does jcb sell a kit? I have also looked jd 7810 50k lts model, but man those are hard to find nowadays.
@@AmisCorolla not sure would think must a company that can retrofit one Personally not big John fan after 00 series but depends on what you want it for really if haulage won’t bet a fastrac
I think I’m going to have to buy a fastrac now.
