That line was so badass to me when I was a kid
Silvers and Cordell were the only ones who managed to be added on Logan's list and not killed by him.
- Silvers was killed by Lian in Australia.
- Logan was killed by Trinidad before getting some payback to Cordell.

90 was the golden age of gaming, graphics didnt mean much it was all about story line, gameplay, and epic soundtrack
Gabe Logan will always be my 007.
This is one of the most atmospheric missions in the series.
The next level too is really awesome.

Awesome playthrough, never thought to take Marcos out stealthily like that. But I always break out any remaining M79 ammo to deal with those flak jacketed freedom memorial guards.

Just replayed this on PS5 and man the nostalgia was unreal. The first 3 missions of syphon filter is one of the greatest gaming experiences of all time.

Best mission in the game. Nearly infinitely replayable. Doesnt get old over time.
Play it long or play it fast and its rewarding. I think it may be a good idea to retcon the series to sf3 and compartmentalize the psp 'games' to their own reality.
Current consoles could serve this franchise very well. Even just remaking the original would be good. So much could be done.
This was really seminal. The second one was even really playable too.
Logan talks a little bit like Lloyd Banks haha

Sorry this is late. Marcus is the trigger man, maybe he is the one holding the remote to manually detonate the bombs if Logan and CBDC agents manage to disable the timer.
SF intro => Costa Rican Plantation, in SF3 Gabe os giving testimony about his first mission as agency operative, he was supposed to rendezvous with Ellis, but Ellis was killed and Gabe must resume Ellis mission.
This is from the Syphon Filter 2 two-player map Park Hedge Maze (When you select the map and load it, the loading screen is the same as the story except instead of a mission briefing it's the lore of the story and has a few paragraphs describing the events of Syphon Filter relating to that map)
WASHINGTON PARK:

Rhoemer's initial assault plan called for his trigger man, Jorge Luis Marcos, to monitor terrorist and law enforcement radio traffic from the communication station and to detonate the bombs if it looked like the terrorists were losing. He was to use this hedge maze as the last line of defense for the location of the main bomb in the presidential memorial.
But as Logan and the CBDC led the assault on park positions and began defusing the viral bombs, Marcos panicked. He ignored repeated orders to override the bombs timers and blow them early, and instead fled into the hedge maze, which is where Logan found him. If Logan had not killed him, Rhoemer would have. Different motives, same result.
This is very interesting and very surprising. Syphon Filter 2 Two-Player mode is worth playing just to read these descriptions of the maps that relate to the original so you can get a better understanding of the story. This is my favorite series and was my first shooter when I was 7 in 07 we played it on the PS2 but we also got the PS1 with Syphon Filter.
Glad I never sold this game. Maybe now with youtube being a thing I can finally beat this game

You've most likely figured it out by now but what I did was go behind the court and sneak up behind the guy holding the hostage, use your sniper and wait the other guy walking to line up. Then you shoot and it'll kill both of them at the same time :)
missed an M16 and Grenade box and the 9mm box at the end

Btw, The very first mission started with a video, where a comrade get killed by Mara Aramov. The scene almost looks like one of the missions in Syphon Filter 3. Conincidence ?

can u believe how sucky graphics back then seems today but how GOOD the games where, while today the games looks great but most are crap xD i want back the 90s!!
I was born in 2000 and played this around 07 on the PS2 and thought the graphics were phenomenal! Same with Big Game Hunter: Ultimate Challenge.

imwithstupid4 It basically depends on your style of play. I played like this because it makes it easier to kill the enemies silently and due to the darkness they can't find your location as easily. Before then, I would run and shoot everything with no strategy a side from the stealth missions. XD
+SairentoZ7 And on top of that, enemies with Flak Jackets aren't as much of a problem. After watching you playthrough, I was inspired to go back and play this! I'm at PHARCOM now, as this comment stands.
Well irl this is how you would do it XD. The idea is avoid open fire in a sense. Just for instance if terrorists were to occupy certain area etc

When I was a kid and wanted my own tv in my room, my dad said I had to buy my own. I found a small very old one at a garage sale for really cheap (should've been a sign but I was too dumb to ask) turns out it was an old ass black and white TV only... still loved this game though lol
