Worked like a DREAM! I use a C Star Vandoran mouthpiece and was having tone and spit sounding issues so I believe it was the buildup blocking and catching my spit, so this helps clear up my neck and mouthpiece!
If there is still calcium would leaving it in longer help? I did the ten minutes and there’s still a decent amount. I don’t doubt the process, just curious about the times
@@ScottCampbellSaxophone Just cleaned 3 plastic and a metal tenor mouth piece. All of them are way cleaner than just using soap and water. I used lemon juice and it worked perfectly. Barely if not 0 decolour and just a quick rinse after to get rid of any stickiness and it's perfect! Thanks for the video!!!

Try it and let us know. It may.
There is still some calcium on my mouthpiece so do I leave it in longer
would you put a 1500 meyer bro in there?
Just being curious can we actually clean it with lemon juice?
Greg 12 that is how two of my colleagues clean their mouthpieces.
It works, I've used lemon juice Everytime I clean my mouthpiece
Nice video. Btw how about hot-medium water for metal mouthpiece?
For metal mouthpieces warm water is okay, HOWEVER, if there is a hard rubber bite plate, it could give it the dark green hue also.
Would this work for brass instruments like a trombone?
I do not know. If there is calcium build up on trombone or trumpet mouthpieces, then is likely would.
honestly need to do this with my mouthpeice, I use a school band instrument so you can imagine.
Me too
Does this work with metal mouth pieces?
Anthony Hoang yes, it does. It is equally effective on metal mouthpieces.

Anthony Hoang glad I could help!
What mouthpiece are you using currently and which one in this video?
montesax Vandoren AL5 But this cleaning process applies to any mouthpiece.
Do you still taste it after
Jesus Garcia not if you rinse it off at the end.
Dude don’t trust him your cork will turn yellows
Why can’t you just use water? That’s what I usally do
Because water will not remove hard calcium build up. The acid in vinegar is needed to soften the calcium.
Neat Soccer it turns green
Neat Soccer atleast for me it did. I use listerine.
