figma made this as a way for product managers and product designers to better present their work to stakeholders, trust me its not an alternative for powerpoint or google slides
@@hachemimouhamed2676ultimately it’s still a tool for you to present your deck, so no matter what it’s intended for, it can still be used as an alternative
I highly support this! Hope Figma introduces more manual animating tools(not slide transitions) and does not turn out to be like another money-grabbing design platform.
This is amzing. I was already using figma for making slides and pitch deck for exporting. There are some feature still missing, hope they will be integrated soon too
It's just missing charts and graphs. If I have to do them with shapes by hand, my team won't be able use or edit them. I'd love to move away from powerpoint, but without graphs We can't incorporate it.
@@_HMCB_ Talking about charts. The issue is that they would not be created by data, or actual number values, but with shapes, if any value changes You would need a designer to redo these charts.
Will you be able to create your own custom templates? And, will there ever be an export to .ppt option? We love working within Figma, but sadly larger clients always need a ppt version of their decks.
IF same features THEN export. IF no match THEN don't export. Result - enough of a copy to satisfy enough needs, hopefully. In other words...how do legacy products deal with updates?
I like that you seem to have a magic-move equivalent, we frequently need to animate items between slides. Is there a 'outline view' like Powerpoint, e.g. some way to quickly get a lot of text content into Figma?
How to create your own theme/template that match your company's brand? Is it tool just for design team or it can be shared to marketing and sales with branded template?
The auto layout feature is real hit and miss for me at the moment. Is the suggested way of working to develop the behaviors in Figma Design and cut and paste? There doesnt seem to be any real controls over it within Slides itself.
I am a film maker who pitches all the time. I’d love the idea of a Figma Slides style approach that is focussed not just on words or products, but also rich imagery, gifs, video embeds, galleries, etc. And that can be scaled for tablet and cell phone… (hello Readymag). Any chance..?
wellllll adding animation without the option to customise them as we canin figma is a bit weird and disappointing. Hope this will be updated soon, since then I will keep using figma for prototyped presentations
I would like to create my own slide design and save it as a template so that I can use it anytime. Is this possible? Also, if possible, I would be very happy if you could tell me how to do it. thank you.
This is the big question. Clients may not want to bother with it and old habits of just having everything as a PPT hasn’t changed in decades. It could be better than everything out there but it’s now another tool and there are info security concerns too. And if you work with a lot of non-designers who all are more in tune with PPT, what are you gonna do? As much as I wish there was something do dethrone the pain that PPT is, it’s part of MS ecosystem and people just know and accept it. Seeing the this is a new mode entirely, it’s gonna be behind a paywall just like FigJam was. They need to make this worth the cost vs just having prototypes built in Figma standard as a presentation and/or slide software already paid for.
Figma's updates and video tutorials are great, but the audio can be quite distracting. It might be easier for viewers to concentrate if the narration is done naturally, rather than reading from a script. If the audio is AI-generated, having a human speaker could improve the experience. Thank you. 🤓💯🙏
is cool but it is still very much in its infancy, lacking some basic features for presentation software. Unfortunately, I will go back to using Keynote/PPT until Slides has evolved a little bit
So, the idea is that everyone gets on Figma link instead of sharing the presentation through Teams/Zoom? Yeah, I already see all those execs trying out how to figure this out and having to create the account for the first time :D
All these time creating slides on figma did not go in vain, thank you figma!!
We gave Google slides enough time to rethink things and make life easier. Instant Switch
couldn't agree more ;'))
figma made this as a way for product managers and product designers to better present their work to stakeholders, trust me its not an alternative for powerpoint or google slides
More than enough time, it's actually kind of insulting really lol
@@hachemimouhamed2676ultimately it’s still a tool for you to present your deck, so no matter what it’s intended for, it can still be used as an alternative
You'll also rethink when you have to start paying for it
Video and 3D elements would be a massive win as well for presenting architecture presentations!
I always use Figma for slides, hope to see Figma for print soon
This is super exciting!!! Well done, Figma team ✨
I highly support this! Hope Figma introduces more manual animating tools(not slide transitions) and does not turn out to be like another money-grabbing design platform.
Interactive prototypes embedded into the deck is a game changer. I've been trying to hack this into my presentations for a while now.
Same thoughts
Extremely easy to move existing slides over. Just copy paste the Frames and done! So awesome!
best text rewriter I've ever seen. congrats, Figma team!

I'm very fascinated, this will make life easier. Thank you Figma!!!!
I never say this, but this is going to be a game changer for our client pitch decks.
ace, i just made 2 large presentations in figma so will be keen to give this a go next time!
If we are able to export this out in pptx format then we golden!
Love this. So grateful for Figma.
Flides is the superior name 💯
Man this is amazing. Can't wait to try this out. Well done!
Lovely, looking forward to using this. Great job!
move aside, Google Slides and Microsoft PPT!
Nice move, used figma for presentation even before this

Can’t you design the graphs in Figma and then move them over to Slides? I’m not really a Figma user so I’m kind of asking for myself 😊.

An absolute dream come true!!!
Now this is what i am hyped about !
Really hope there’s an option to export to PDF to share with clients after the meeting etc.
Good news, yes there's an option to export your slides to PDF.
Yes, you can export the slide desk as PDF. Click on the Figma icon on the top-left corner --> File --> Export all slides to PDF.
Magnificent ! Thank you so much !
This is great for ideation, Congratulations Figma

How are u going to export to ppt when ppt doesn’t even have features that Figma has?
@@chaya973 There are plugins that export your file to power point

Sounds AMAZING. Can I see the history of the people who saw my deck?

@Figma 3:02 - Hey, just curious, why show CMD in the shortcut when Windows doesn’t have it? What's the Windows version?
Thanks for flagging!
This was a mistake on our end, you can hold down the Ctrl key on Windows to zoom in and out while scrolling the mouse wheel.
Very cool! One question though: Will this support GIF and video formats as well?
It supports GIFs just like normal Figma 😊
Excited to try this out!
So much more user-interactive than Apple Presentation, or ppt
Wow. This is laudable!!!!
Can't wait to use it !
A dream come true 😢❤
Canvas and Google Slides at the moment : 👁️👁️😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
Love me some Flides!
Nice update. It would be nice to export in pptx format.
this is amazing, I only hope the cursor for voting doesnt show up in the meeting.. I have when whatsapp shows everyone what you are voting.
So excited about this.
I can’t see the option to add presenter notes. How do I toggle it?
Click the handle above the toolbar while in slide view. It should pop up
Really cool!!! thanks Figma
If you could export these to PPT it would be a game changer
Stoked!
Does sharing provide a link to a webpage so that clients who just need to view can go through it at their own pace?

not including figma's plugins is the biggest drawback ever, like the thing that makes figma distinguish from others is the plugins!!!
how I can add more template style to my deck?
Can I import a ppt and turn it into figma slides?
are you able to export the slide deck to PDF/PPT/keynote?
Hi, you can export the slide desk as PDF. Click on the Figma icon on the top-left corner --> File --> Export all slides to PDF.
can i make the slides with notes only visible for me when presenting?

Hopefully this is free like Google slides. So that any members from the team can also create or edit contents easily.
useful video 👍🏻
All I ever wanted
Is it normal that I don't have the "new slide deck" in the homepage ( I don't know where to access it too)
ps. great work to all the team!!
It's rolling out over the next few hours so you should see it soon!

Maybe is just me, but I didnt see the animacion tool for single objetcs on the slide...
How do I convert existing slides created in Figma design to Figma slides?
but what did you use to build this slide show hmm
Can it do financial modelling presentation as well?
How should I export every slides together as a same PDF?
Surprised you can’t animate individual slide components :(
Upcoming feature potentially?
Where’s export button?
I see export in the properties panel when I toggle from slide mode to design mode in the tool bar
Amazing

Why i can not share it to my team member to edit ? :(
I want to be able to use plugins in slides
Does anyone know how to add page numbering?
I’m signing the Petition for Flydes.
But it can't make an automatic ppt based on a word document
Time to switch!

still didnt figure out how to import excel table values to a figma slides table , the most basic need.
Figma + canva = Figma slides
Need a export option
RIP PowerPoint (I wish)
Add the ability to embed these slides into a website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
