Great series of videos on the M6, so hard to find replacement speakers for BMWs, especially the newer ones. I would love it if Morel came up with a three way component set for the front setup for these BMWs but this setup sounds great in the last video. Great work.
As I have same setup as Pete advice to buy sdmi25 ,which totally changed my Volvo V40 2015 sound system! Best Audio equipment I have ever bought sdmi25 ! Helix V8 and sdmi25 ofc JL box sub ! .Micro Precession 5 series 3 way ! I like to use the factory system with apple carplay so sdmi25 was the best thing I bought .Thanks Peter 😃
Very interested in the project! Peter, what do you think ybout closed speaker pods for mid and tweet? it would be the easiest way to mound mid/tweet up high to the a-pillars but they dont have much airvolume. i feel like that will limit the speakers. what do you think about them?
This video just cost me 700€ more in my project.....Thank's a lot Peter...... ;) ;) ;) By the way...., if you would use the both sub's OEM is a class C 205 and try to make them mid-bass, bass speakers cause you have a great sub elsewhere, what band would you set it? 80 to 500 Hz???? Best regards, i will keep in touch!
@@pssound9749 I installed it to few Bmws, they are similar, and also sounds same like oem HK under seat woofers. Those oem HK woofer are not crappy like other speakers. (and maybe lot of people thinks). They sounds really good, but only need better amp like oem (and equalization of course).
Yes, the HK speakers are not bad at all, i told it to the customer too and say it every time to everyone, but they all sleep better if we swap them out, so…
How SDMI 25 comunicate with dsp processor (volume etc.), it has got also any volume, bass adjustment , etc informations from oem head unit (from most optical) which convert to toslink optical output? To adjust volume, etc from oem head unit, or it is possible to control volume only by conductor?
@@pssound9749Thank you very much Peter. I would like to install it to my car (sdmi25) but nobody here has got any experiences with it. And I will need to code HK option (which I am afraid little bit) with diagnostic tool to activate MOST , cause have got only basic system in my car.
Hey Peter what do you think about DSPs that have a sampling rate limit of 48khz vs the ones that have 96khz and up? For example... using the 48khz Helix Mfour DSP 6ch pre out to an external amp for front stage and have the extra amped channels for fill vs using the 96khz Helix DSP.3 ,Helix DSP mini MK2 or DSP ultra? Assuming installation its done properly and by the same person. Im wondering if anyone ( OR YOU) can tell the difference between a 48khz and 96khz signal coming out of the DSP. Im asking because I just realized my M four DSP just like this helix V eight dsp you used in this build are limited to 48khz sampling rate. Now wondering if I should upgrade to the DSP ultra and using the exact amps I was going to use with the M four DSP.

This is going to be a nice OEM+ setup!
yess a new video
😔 wish you was closer to me cuz I would love for you to do my install. And as always love the vids!!

Hi Pete, I always thought that doing a before and after audio comparison wouldn't be a bad idea. No need for a lengthy video, just a song or two.
Looks like a Subaru Impreza with BMW badges? :D
Can't wait to see the install.
This is nice simple set up . I might go with this but with 3 way in-front
This is also 3way in front.
@@pssound9749 looking forward for the next video
Subbed
I have a feeling this will be just the first stage...
Be interested to hear your thoughts on the steg with only the inline tweeter cap vs a set like the focal which band pass the 4” mid.
Hi Peter, with the center channel can you wire up ith the left speaker?
I’m not sure about the question, but the answer is probably no.
Very interested in the project!

Yes, pods are last option, not great for most mids. Check out the video on the channel “secret behind good sounding pillars”.
Can you bridge channels on these Matrix Amps?
I see you use a lot of those steg speakers... did you ever used the steg sdsp 6-8 ?
We tuned cars with them, worked well. We’ll use it in a project soon again.

It needs RTA to see best XO, but in most cars it’s too problematic above 250/300Hz.
@@pssound9749 Ok, i will try that settings. I have the gear to perform RTA. Just didn't do RTA and equalization yet....Thank's a lot for your help!!!
That Steg aftermarket drivers seems exactly the same like oem woofers :)) Maybe same producer of it.
Similar is not the same. You have to look closer at components used or go to Specsavers then!😉😃

There is volume control on optical.

@@dusanskulavik1878 someone who codes BMWs can do that in 5mins, just enable the HIFI package and it’ll output audio on MOST25 straight away.
are u doesn't like Audio Control product? because i can't see u run any product from AC
Nobody uses them in UK and tbf i don’t see why we should if they don’t do anything better than Helix or Zapco.
