Because of that I recommend setting your sprayer at 4oz per gallon for 1,000sq fr instead of label rate of 8oz per gallon. Use a light setting, then go over and over until all material is gone.
All I have to say about any of these products is they work and they work fantastic. I apply in my flowers beds, trees and my lawn. Another bonus is I can just drive where its packaged in my home town of Fresno. Thanks John and Bob for a great soil product.
We recommend applying twice a year in early fall and early spring. However, you can apply it anytime as long as there isn’t snow or heavy rainfall. Are you located in California or somewhere in with a harsh winter climate?
@@JohnandBobs I live in Kansas. We get everything. Blistering summers. Bitter cold winters at times, and torrential rains to drought. Every year I fight trying to keep a lawn and just giving up to the summer heat and lack of rainfall come July and August. Its a real battle. Even watering just barely keeps things alive, but not thriving. I keep telling myself just to give up, but I cant and end up spending a small fortune each year just to have a nice lawn.
@@JohnandBobs Thats what I have been doing lately. Trying my best to get my soil in better shape, but that is going to take some time to do as I have a large yard.
Depends on what you are trying to achieve. One of our most popular kits is the Clay Soil Kit. You can learn more about it here: www.johnandbobs.com/products/clay-hard-soil-solutions-kit
Like your way of thinking. Its pretty much on par with mine. Our soil, out here in the sticks, in a mid-high valley of the Mohave Desert, 2,500ft zone 9a, is beyond dead. Natural resources are very limited. The well water is good however. How much of this top cover should be used, and how much of the penetrator should be used, and how many times, before trying to grow something in this extremely poor soil? My challenged sons and I would like to start with the main garden plot, which is roughly 20×60, and a few small strips along the fence around the yard to start, with intentions to expand larger in the near future to benefit the local community and food banks. Trying to teach young challenged folks that haven't been given much of a chance in life, a skill that will serve them their whole life and help feel some self worth by helping others.
I use Blend on my citrus plants and other vegetable plants for several years and get good results. I have decided to use John & Bob's products instead of using chemical fertilizers. I believe that building the soil microbes is the most important part of the garden soil.
John, glad to hear of your success with Blend. We agree, building life is key to naturally improving soil while eliminating pests and diseases. Chemical fertilizers feed only the plant while damaging soil and the life in it.
I have a high end power sprayer. I took 2 steps and was out. Think I will calibrate it now

You also can't go wrong with a purchase of enough Blend to apply at 20-25lbs per 1,000 sq ft and Penetrate for 8oz per 1,000sq ft.
