    I just discovered this channel due to Paleo Rewind being mentioned on Paleo Analysis and Henry the Paleo Guy's channels. This is another great one! Keep up the great work knowing we all appreciate it!

    I really loved those animated drawings - seeing them coming to life while listening and learning about these creatures was mesmerizing - truly great!

    so pretty much that sauropods tails were used as a natural defense after all

    • @PaleoEntertainment
      @PaleoEntertainment  14 днів тому +2

      Titanosaur tails, specifically. Though it's pretty safe to say all sauropods used their tails for more than just balance. What would be really cool is if we can find a predator with an injury identified as inflicted by a sauropod tail!

      @@PaleoEntertainment yeah, that would be cool and interesting. It’s also weird that there’s what is a debate that sauropod tails were very fragile for combat, but I didn’t want to believe in that person’s new paper came out Their tails are used after all.

    Even if Perucetus isn’t larger than a blue whale it’s still the largest basilosaur

      Absolutely! Definitely a hefty sea sausage nonetheless!

    Don't forget Ichthyotitan is a newly largest reptile of the year.

      The news on Ichthyotitan was published in April, so you can find the Paleo Rewind segment on that on Vividen's channel here!

    I feel that size estimation is the issue that will appear in the future multiple times.

    • @PaleoEntertainment
      @PaleoEntertainment  19 днів тому

      Oh, absolutely. Hopefully these issues can be dialed back as we learn more about how to truly get well-educated size estimates, though.

    I feel like with Titanosaurs like Argentinosaurus and Puertosaurus could possibly have their tail position since we don’t have fossils of the tails so it would only be speculation

    • @PaleoEntertainment
      @PaleoEntertainment  20 днів тому +2

      Sadly we don't have much material from titanosaurs in general, but similar methods could be used on more well-understood taxa and potentially other non-titanosaur dinosaurs.

    I hate when people say that 0 we found a theropod that's bigger than T Rex but no it's not bigger than T Rex it's never going to happen

    • @PaleoEntertainment
      @PaleoEntertainment  14 днів тому +1

      It's never impossible, but highly unlikely for sure. We also have to remember that for something to be 'bigger' than another species, that means the average individual needs to be bigger, as opposed to a single specimen.

    If Dead Sound's Sauria series doesn't win this years indie animation award and gets beaten by The Amazing Digital Circus, I will lose it. Don't get me wrong, Digital Circus is very popular and it has good animation quality, but I just think it's overrated to be called the best, since the story is all over the place and I can't make sense of what is supposed to happen, and the characters have little development. Sauria tells a great story in a fictional world full of scientifically accurate dinosaurs, something we all need.

    • @PaleoEntertainment
      @PaleoEntertainment  14 днів тому

      Unfortunately the most deserving don't always get their due respect or popularity. I know close to nothing on Digital Circus, but it definitely has more popularity in terms of raw views and algorithm appeal, regardless of how good the storytelling is. It's unfortunate that UA-cam (and most platforms) aren't set up for the honest creator to succeed.

    You are mispronouncing azhdarkid. Zh is different from z. Zh is pronounced like the s in pleasure, or j in French.

    • @PaleoEntertainment
      @PaleoEntertainment  18 днів тому +1

      Interesting! I had no idea it had a different pronunciation. Thank you!
