Ah, so if you order a party drink you're probably having a party, and if you're ordering a whisky by yourself in the middle of the day you're probably not partying. Got it!
The fuck you doing here?
When a kripp hit's middle age it's a slippery slope
Unbelievable how far up their own ass these people are ,you're a fucking bartender, not the spokesman for a generation.
That's how we bartenders see it
The kripps have invaded!
Drinking whiskey in the middle of the afternoon is good day! 😁
Glendronach 15 anytime of day is fine, it's just absolutely fine.
@@cap5575 all grinders are good

fucking dumbus id assume youre pretty content with your life
fucking dumbus I'd assume you spend a lot of time on the internet
i feel like i eat ass wasn't connecting the dots on fucking dumbus's name. you'd think with a name like that they'd be more cognizant about it.
I eat ass
It's one guy using two accounts
fine, but it's probably best to drink that in private
Don't judge me if I do cocaine with my rum.
Love me a rum and coke.
You degenerate you're supposed to do cocaine with tequila
Please clarify. I’m not seeing anything out of the ordinary.
@Explodingtraps LOL best comment
Hah, my one coworker ordered a Bud Light at a really nice bar in our hotel that had at least 60 craft beers on tap. The server definitely looked bewildered.
We have a big rodeo in my city every summer, and I continue to drink at our local brewery, in part because the odds are good some wannabe cowboy will go nuclear over the fact that the place does. not. carry. any mass-produced beer.
Some of these have been kind of pretentious, but this batch speaks some truth - know where you are and order accordingly.
If you don't want people ordering Bud Light, don't carry it.
That's kind of the point. A lot of craft pubs don't stock mainstream beer yet people will still order it and get disappointed when their told it's not available.
The craft beers might not even be as nice as the mainstream beers. I've tried a few IPAs and they were terrible taste compared to coors light
Then don't offer it on the menu if you don't want customers to have the option to order it... How simple is that?
Water on the rocks
Super Soviet A true drink.
I used to just drink seltzer, you can’t imagine the look they would give me..
Go home Russian Bot, your detective.
"Shaken, not stirred."
Real tough guys drink, water neat, ice is for girls.
Real bartenders don't judge if someone orders a bud light in a "craft beer bar". Instead they suggest a better light beer. Cause tips, yo.
Roone Briley fuck your tip. Learn to order.
@@fenvictoria1437 What a stuck up bitch lol
I’m with fen. Be a little perceptive and self aware. You don’t order a bud light in a craft beer bar any more than a frozen drink in a dive bar
@@iluomobravo What's a dive bar?
@joseph, you know one when you see one. Furthermore, I can tell from the minute I walk in to a place if a frozen drink, mojito or blood Mary is appropriate to order
This should be titled How To Order A Drink If You're 21 And Have Never Ordered A Drink
This is why i am so grateful for being born in Italy, been going to clubs since i was like...15. It gets you used to the atmosphere and all the little mannerisms.
Alex Anthony accurate
Alex Anthony we don't have meme's in the european union but you can order a ćuba libre at 18!
In Brazil you can drink with 18 but they don’t really care about your age

As an adult, I love looking back and remembering how anxious and nervous I was to interact with my first bar tender, but now I realize that they're just regular ass, cool people who honestly couldn't give a shit what you order or drink just as long as you dont make their job difficult. With that said, it can also be extremely easy to get on a bar tenders nerves and get kicked out for the night or even indefinitely. Seen it happen multiple times.
The day I let someone with a dish rag and a bottle opener judge me is the day I give up drinking.
I read the title and was ready to blast this, that its nonsense to assume who someone is based on their drink, and even more absurd that there's an expert on that...but at least many of them actually said what I wanted to say, you might read into someone's order or how they order something about the mood or urgency, but that's where it stops, and even that is so so
Happy, mad, sad, whatever; I'm ordering Jameson.
I drink whisky because I like it... not because I am in bad mood. A good whisky is a very complex drink
Now I can feel better when the barista says “Iced pumpkin spice latte for Peter”
Surely you should judge anyone who orders a bud light aha
My dad's best friend is a navy dude. Pretty tough, but getting on a bit now. All he drinks is light beer. Just confidently says he knows it's basically diluted beer but he loves it. Made me rethink making fun of people enjoying bud light/coors light etc.
Bud light isn’t bad but it’s called piss water for a reason. I like craft beers better but I won’t complain about a light beer.
It's a pound cheaper than every other beer at my local, If it's the end of the month I'mma get that then...
@@thechris312 I hate lite beer, but it's always fun to rag on bud light regardless lol.
@@thechris312 that good for him but bud light is piss water dude theres no qay around it, people from other countries laugh at our shitty ass light beer
as long as they have beer darker than the night sky and thick like molasses sign me up
"if it tastes good, then just f** order it dude!" I want a gin fizz please
I used to play a completely different game. Since barkeeping is a service, the best way to sell something is being proactive. One judges the customer by the way he/she presents him/herself through clothing, mimics, way of being, body type, language and nationality/region of origin. Most of those information are there the minute the customer walks into the bar. That being said, offer the drink you would order as that person. It fails sometimes but usually I had people looking at me surprised and asking ''how did you...'', we are usually very superficial beings. Same goes for me.
Just give me my crown and coke and stop judging me.
Sam Rader what's the stereotype for that ?
Is it that you are a Dimebag fanboy or something like that ?
Crown and Coke ftw!! I just hate ordering it at bars because... Well I'm cheap. Kessler/Coke at bars and Crown/Coke at home
@@jessehibbs7042 Kesslers? Order Ten High and get it over with.
When I was in college I would always order the most fucked drink on a menu just to spice things up
"Whiskey on the rocks.... idk i heard that in a movie ill take a beer, modelo, and space dust."
It says they like the taste and are in the mood for that drink at that moment
If you order X, while at Y, look how much you don't fit in at X. It's like a gate keepers paradise. Thought I'd be hearing about how Tequila Sunrise people wake up on benches or something.
Some mornings I order coffee and brandy just to kickstart my day
Jack Daniels and coffee is a new favorite for me.
I can't interpret this very well. Usually, I find white wine spritzers festively exotic for a lady MY own age during holidays. 🤣!
Thank you Bobby! I don’t care what you order as long as you don’t make getting the order out of you an ordeal!
Gtfoh! How bout you make my drink and be thankful someone's bringing you business. And yeah. I'm a bartender in NYC too. There's 16 liquor licenses on my block alone. I'm grateful when they choose my bar over the thousands of others in the city. BE NICE.
Drink what you like. UNLESS its a complicated drink at a busy bar, a domestic beer at a craft beer bar, or something that doesn't match the ambiance. I guess just ask what the bartender thinks you should drink.
No, it's called KNOW YOUR SURROUNDINGS AND BE CONSIDERATE OF THE PEOPLE WAITING TO ORDER A DRINK BEHIND YOU
I dont give a flying fuck what you drink, unless it's super crowded and busy and your stupid ass just ordered a drink that takes 20 min to make. Then, i'm gonna be very fucking upset at you, and so are the other 20 people in line behind me.
Drink what you like unless the SURROUNDINGS call for something different.
Dont walk into a hyper fancy steakhouse and start ordering tequila shots, it's not the place to do that
Dont walk into a biker bar and order an irish coffee, they probably dont have coffee
That's like going to an Italian restaurant and demanding they cook you a tbone steak. Because "they're a restaurant"
@@jordanhicks5131 no it's nothing like that? if the steakhouse has tequila then drink it. If the bar has the drink you want guests are more then welcome to order it. They won't get a discount for ordering a beer at a busy bar (here in England at least) so if they want a certain drink that takes longer then more power to them and as they pay the bill they have every right to do that. That's the problem with these "star tenders" they want there life to be easy, if you take a trip to Japan the drink takes 3 times longer because of how delicately they make the drink, that's what being a bartender is about making the guests happy not making their lives easier... Rant over
Total horseshit if you ask me
If we all like the same drink there would only be that one drink
I've got more "favorite" drinks than I can count
If you feel like drinking zombies or Long Island Iced Teas all night long -- TIP WELL. (And let the bartender know you've got their backs).
I usually only order old fashioneds either regular old fashioned or a oaxacan old fashioned if they know how to make it.
My guy said " Drink what you like and own it". But 10 seconds prior was a different story
I am a simple 40 year old man. Captain and Coke or Captain and Root beer are my go to drinks.
double Jameson on the rocks every time dang eh I know I had it bad but now I know for sure I do every day is a bad day haha
My go to seems to be a gin buck, or a ginger highball, always refreshing and smooth.
Asking these bartenders to judge someone is like saying," Hey college drop out, what is your opinion on this person who does not drink for a living?" lol
I like ordering bartenders choice. Make me what you would be drinking. I’ve had some pretty nice drinks ordering this way.
Drink whatever you want, and don't give a flying-fuck what anyone thinks. Hell, if you go into a bar and just want a glass of water and watch some TV or whatever, drink it and be cool about it, just don't forget to leave a tip, even though it's just water, because it shows you appreciate the bartender serving you.
If you think about it, it's nobody's business what you choose to drink/wear/whatever. Whatever it is you're doing, as long as it isn't ethically or morally wrong, be confident and cool about it.
What your drink order says about you? That you want a fucking drink!
I'm 18 and my favourite drink is an old fashioned lol
I haven't come across a bartender that can mix a proper grasshopper,
so i generally just order a Cosmopolitan because i enjoy the flavor and it lasts long, but i need 2-3 beers first.
If you're at a cocktail bar, and it is busy, then it sounds like a good place to order a ramos gin fizz. I'm not gonna order one at a slow dive bar, come on.
How you drink certain drinks says something, too. You don't typically order a Fireball and sip it like a Laphroaig 10. You also don't order a Booker's and shoot it, either.
I like to order a double Maker's Mark on the rocks and a beer back. Delicious, quick and to the point.
Weird that a paying, potentially tipping, customer can't order the drink they want just because it's busy.
Of course you can order something time consuming to make when it's busy. Just know that it'll take longer for other people to get their drinks and more importantly, it will take longer for you to get your drink (or else you might get a drink that's more carelessly put together).
I see where you're coming from, but it's not about the bartender feeling inconvenienced, it's about slowing things down for everyone in the bar. Bartenders love to make quirky drinks like that when they have time, but a bar is the most social of places, and as a bar patron, consideration should be given to everyone else waiting for a drink. Check the recipe for the drink she referenced in that clip: imbibemagazine.com/ramos-gin-fizz/
It's not being so much as considerate to the bartender, but being considerate to the entire room of waiting patrons. And the blame will usually fall on the bartender for patrons that didn't notice you ordered an inconsiderate drink,
Yeah fuck that crowd of people standing behind you.
Besides Ramos Gin Fizz is a great drink.
To the bartender at 1:17 so I should change what I want to drink based on how busy you are??? WTF! I’m the patron not you!
*A drink doesn't define a person. A drink defines a situation*
Hey I’m paying for a drink, you better make my drink...
the only drink i judge if someone is ordering is if its in the middle of the day and their ordering long island ice teas...more then one
I usually ask about “craft beer” specials, say thanks, give me a minute, and order a High Life. I’m pathetic.
As a 14 year bartender in Vegas, that was the equivalent of asking someone who has an itch, if they need a scratch. I'll be happy to elaborate...
I think it's perfectly fine to drink to look cool. We drink to feel good. If an aesthetic is part of that, it's ok. I typically drink more masculine drinks at bars, which really isn't that hard. For example, instead of getting the lime and the salt and all that, I may get myself an Anejo tequila and drink it neat. I don't drink cosmos. I drink martinis and stouts but not light beer. I just don't feel comfortable drinking vibrantly colored drinks in public unless I find a vodka I haven't tried, buy an ounce or so of it, discover it's shit, and need orange juice to down it. I don't want to look feminine with my drink choice.
Good whiskey neat is the best tasting thing at any bar, hands down. If you want a sweeter drink as a man, there's aged rum, there's really savory gin, there's the White Russian and the Moscow Mule. There's a lot of drinks men can have in public while maintaining a masculine image. However, I don't drink to "develop character." I don't drink women's drinks in public because I don't want to present myself as feminine. That's it. Stop drinking shit shelf rye, man. Get thineself some Kentucky Bourbon, the good stuff. Wild Turkey Rare Breed is an instant classic.
Spicy bloody mary with extra pickle juice or colorado bulldog are my go tos
I usually drink beer and whiskey. Sometimes some vodka or brandy or Drambuie. The kind of bars I go to don't have 40 craft beers on tap, there are two and Coors Light and Budweiser. I like Old Milwaukee, Shiner beers, Old Style, Leinenkugals, or Coors. And I like all whiskeys except Bourbons so-so. Long story short I would probably never go into the kind of bars these bartenders work at and if I did I would probably order a Canadian Club or 7 on the rocks with a beer back.
Judgement goes both ways.
If you have a fancy bar with an allegedly high end assortment and I try to order something simple like a sherry oak Macallan and you don't have it or something comparable, then I'm just going to order a diet coke.
I'm a bartender, last week some middle aged lady ordered a triple vodka and coke at 4pm on a Wednesday 😂
Laphroigh. Neat. In a Glencairn glass, please.
Well that was stupid
DinkyDanProductions still clicked it though, didn't you?
just like you lol BURNNNN
Godfather with 2 cherries. Favorite.
Get me a white claw with three shots of tequila and ill be good.
If you come in an order a Gibson Martini , your either going to be really good conversation or your gonna be impossible to please …
Tito's gimlet straight up no fruit super chilled in a 4 oz glass, no stemware.
If I order shots its because I know exactly what I'm there for and I'd like to get on with my day
All I know if you order a combinations of liquors & juices or sodas that I don't think would taste well together , be prepared to pay for that drink when you don't like it! Listen to your bartender, they just might know something!!!
If your friend takes you to a craft beer place but you are a bud light person, then just drink the bud light. You'll enjoy yourself more.
I believe that a bartender should be able to make whatever the fuck I want and charge me for it.... so long as they have the ingredients. If I want a Manhattan at a cantina, you better make me a damn Manhattan if I look behind you and see you have the components to make it. I'm not one to be needy or entitled, but your job as a bartender is literally to make cocktails....
The old fashion is my go to drink
I don't care at all about what people order, just don't get pissy when the bar doesn't carry it. And guys, when their talking about ordering something time consuming during a busy hour, they're just asking for people to have more consideration for other customers since it slows down drink production. Their just asking for more consideration, but if you don't want to be considerate, that is definitely in your right to be so.
asking people to not order what they want when they come into your bar is unreasonable. like, how is the customer supposed to know whether or not they are allowed to order a complex drink?
I drink dirty martinis at 11 am every Saturday !!!! Why ? because I like them !!! and I dont think the bartender doesn't give a shit !!! but since I'm the first one in the bar we have great conversations
Why are there three bottles of Hendricks Gin in the background?
What does it mean if someone doesn't ever drink alcohol? What's the best way to order water? Water is consumed by people everywhere, on all occasions; it's a universal beverage, on earth.
Me drink whiskey and it's the afternoon now: Oh, i've been stabbed in the heart, you're right things aren't fine T^T
Whiskey. Straight
Sometimes gin and tonic, sometimes whiskey neat, sometimes a red wine.
Can I uhhhh... Get uh... Glass of milk?
So this could have been a funny video but instead we are all special and we need people to tell us our drinks are special no matter what
I order my drinks for fun. order 2 long island iced teas, chug them down and order a 3rd to mess with the bar man. when you're with a group and spot a shot on the menu that comes in 8 shot glasses, like a rainbow shot. why not order 2? and proceed to shot them yourself or with 1 friend. order a pyramid (bunch of stacked glazes on which burning liqour is poured that comes together in the bottom glas). a vodka and water shot roulette and order a tequilla shot. put it with the others and watch some unexpectedly shot blanco tequilla.
I can get being flexible and just going with the flow sometimes, but if you're just plain wanting whiskey or a Bud Light what the fuck is the issue? Most of these people sound like they would suffer a mental breakdown worse than your typical bride-to-be would because the groomsmen's boutennieres are a hair less violet than they thought they would be.
Death by social anxiety
That you're either drinking because of social expectations, you're an alcoholic, or both.
Bourbon 🥃 the moment I wake up 😂
I take whiskey shots since the morning because fucking hell life sucks.
Negroni,Aviation,Tom Collins,Gin and Tonic. All Gin all the time
If you sell it don’t bitch if someone orders it.
I’ll have some dihydrogen monoxide on the rocks
I usually order my liquor straight and neat not just because I like it that way but most bartenders suck and you can’t trust that they know what they’re doing. Think that’s not true?....order a dirty martini out sometime and see what you get. Betcha it’s awful. And they want to judge us....hmmph
1:40 LOL that's me
I'm the wacko who orders shots at a fine dine and wine restaurant.
Naw man I drink bourbon all the time. If you’re from southern Indiana or Kentucky it’s just a part of life. None different than drinking Bordeaux every day in France
They make me not want to go to bars I've never been and have no clue what to order or even really how and im supposed to know this drink takes more time to make than this drink
I give so little fucks what the people at the bar think of me. Ill order what I want when I want.
I would like to order Julia from the video.😍
Your drink order doesn’t necessarily say anything about you, but if I get a ticket for a raspberry lemon drop, I’m gonna guess you didn’t just get off work at the factory or something lol. Maybe you did, but wouldn’t bet money on it lol
I drink Caesars because I’m Canadian.😂🇨🇦
My go-to drink is a delicious double Manhattan. People tend to give me looks or say something when they see me drinking a martini. Turns out none of them have been able to handle a dry, gin martini without grimacing or gagging. Who's the real bitch, huh boys?
Wow. That went no where.
Can I get a Slo Comfortable Screw please?

Pretty judgey to say don't be judgey.
Turning 21 in a month, and my first (legal) drink is going to be a white russian because that's my Grandpa's favorite... Probably only that honestly and not a lot. I have no friends and staying the summer at my parents house (yay no paying rent for a while!) So that's a little awkward. X')
