    I'm honestly surprised that Hybodus was around for 194 million year span between the Permian and Cretaceous period.

    • @matthewthedinosaurking6810

      I know, its incredibly surprising!!!

      Matthew The Dinosaur King
      It's a massive shame that Hybodus no longer exists.

      Is it possible that Cretoxyrhina is a relative of the great white shark and maybe its other present day cousins?

    oh hybodus's family is technically still around the last true hybodont lived in the miocene before evolving into sharks such as the nurse shark dog fish zebra shark epeaulette shark and peter jackson shark so the hybodonts are the most succsesful group of sharks

    What about the frilled shark? That was a very eel like shark

    • @Serpenfishil
      @Serpenfishil 6 років тому +2

      Jaydator S and the funny thing is, frilled sharks were also prehistoric, but they can still be found today. They can also be found in the prehistoric sea life toob which I actually have.

    There is other fish in the helicoprion family it's called the parahelicoprion it was just as long as helicoprion but not as heavy it lived in the early Permian period these creatures are so unknown to science that I didn't even know it existed I just found it myself somehow by doing helicoprion research I found the name it's a real fish look it up it's parahelicoprion

    It's interesting to see how many different species of prehistoric sharks once swam through the oceans. Btw I wanted to ask if you'd consider using the Collecta feathered T-rex in prehistoric island? If you did how would you explain the other T-rex's not having feathers and that individual having feathers?

    *correction, Im pretty sure Greenland sharks are the largest predatory shark species, if you discount sightings of larger sharks from either species.

      Appalachiosaurus22 Oh ok if you go by weight. Greenland sharks are a fascinating species and very little known, they get so little recognition.

    Great review, and a nice diversity of Chondrichthyes in this set, though technically the Eugeneodontids like Edestus, Helicoprion and Sarcoprion are closer to chimaeras than sharks. Have you seen the new models that CollectA has announced?

    • @kommanderkodi4552
      @kommanderkodi4552 7 років тому

      Rahonavis70m it does make sense that the "whirlteeth" sharks have chimera relatives

      Matthew The Dinosaur King No problem. Yeah they look really good so far, although admittedly I'm not too sure about the Styracosaurus and Kronosaurus' colours. I just knew they were going to do a Regaliceratops at some point, I think that one's my current favourite.

    Earth: hybodus, you had a long (enough) time of in the seas catching fish and scavenging, but you have to go, it’s the ending of the dinosaurs.

    if you include feathered rex in next prehistoric island snd if it challenges the rouge male i think you should use the collecta rex corpse at the finish of the fight
