Thanks! It's an Arduino animatronic project I built to respond to music (www.M1D1bot.com) Also, built a different device a few years back (www.MusicSpiral.com) Cheers, Jason
Thanks. Yeah, gate out from TR-8s is used in this video., going to the clock input on 5-Step sequencer on Solar 42. I have also experimented with using the assignable trigger outputs from TR-8s... with a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter... that's a good option if you want to assign a specific instrument track on the TR-8s to send trigger/gate for each note that is programmed into the pattern... ie: to get more complex rhythmic timings.
Can i maybe ask you a few questions as a beginner hardware synth user about how to connect your solar 42 to lets say a mpc one and getting them synced ?
The MPC One (and other recent MPCs) have modular gate output jacks on the back of the unit... you could hook up a 1/8 inch modular patch cable (modular 1/8 Y cable) from one of those outputs, to a clock input / gate input on the Solar 42... like I hooked up to the 5-step sequencer from TR-8s in this video. Then, when you start/play a sequence on the MPC, it will output gate pulses in time with the BPM, and that will advance the sequencer.
Lovely work on this C S !
What is that head light show on shelf to the left that reacts to music? So cool!

@@CreativeSpiral With all of this new fangle sound engines, we need light shows to accompany what we play!
Seen many videos of people playing this cool synth, but very few of them add any drums. Thanks for confirming that it's also awesome with drums!

Great video and I'm in awe of your great reactive lighting and robotic set up... really cool indeed! 👌🙏💅
Nice! looks like the smokin robot enjoying it too :D
Thanks! M1D1 bot is my biggest fan ;)
Sounds good did you sync to tr8 via gate out tr8 , 1/8 cable to gate in on the 42, ? It sounds locked pretty well any issues with sync ?

@@CreativeSpiral thx for confirming - I would have to sale the pro 3 to make room so mulling over !
sounds good 80s vibe
Thanks!
