I did custom soundtrack for wipeout pure by hacking my psp years ago and the Etape 2 song was a song I picked to replace a song on that game. I had no idea they actually used a similar song on a newer wipeout game. Crazy.

What nostalgia, if I can find my charger for my ps vita ill play it once again and never stop. I've had to run through the game about 3 times because my little brother would fail the password and reset the entire sd-card, which I hate. But at least I still have most of the video footage from that, now all I have to do is access it

Always been a big wipeout fan since I first played HD/Fury. I don't have a ps vita, but I'm sure this iteration of the series is just as amazing. this compilation of logos and ships with the music is great, adds to the inspiration that the art style has had on my own artwork similar to the way the art style in mass effect does. hopefully they'll make a really immersive ps4 release at some point.
+Mike Sessa Sorry to disappoint, but Wipeout is kinda dead. Although many people are making fan games such as Formula Fusion and Slipstream GX. Formula Fusion ( www.r8games.com ) looks pretty good.

I really get into the art styles of games and Wipeout has always stuck with me in that respect since I'm a sci-fi fan. Hopefully those fan games follow similarly.

Wipeout soundtracks across all of the games compiles the best of the electronic music of 90s and 2000s. That would be an good start. Deus Ex human revolution and system shock and mirrors edge are other good games to explore this kind of music.
That's one thing I don't like about Omega Collection, it's fixed to a revised HD theme. I wish there was the option for 2048 style and Fury style menus.
This game is hard. I suck at difficult games (Monster Hunter - World, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, etc...) But I keep coming back for the challenge. And now I have finally defeat AGRC 2050 final tournament, ELITE PASS in my trusty QIЯЕЖ Speed! I've never had better gaming experience.

Nowadays, I find myself revisiting those tracks yet again in the Omega Collection with much more experience, and my nostalgic brain couldn't be any happier.
Studio Liverpool (known as Psygnosis in the 90s) had the idea of a space fighting game and the ship designs looked similar to the WipE'out ships, and they got used in WipEout in the end (I think)

Howe do you race on different stages in Wipeout. I always seem to race in the same levels . Also, what is the name of the racing game where you can race on walls, ceilings while techno music played?
This is a special edit that cuts out most of the vocals and quiet parts. It would be weird to just have some vocoded guy singing or for the menu to be completely silent while trying to pick the next race you want to do, so they kept the louder parts of the song and then just stitched them together in a way they will loop nicely
