could be that. I was thinking it could be a belt starter issue (if he didn't use a starter shaft). It is slipped around the fan and clutch. It may have vibrated loose and got caught in the clutch/fan. I think this is what caused that "Grrrr" noise.
Now that's a pilot and not a flyer! He didn't panic but was in complete control and everyone inside walked away.
Good advice from me to you. Don't fly so close to you. 5 Weeks ago i flew my Trex 600 into my leg. Got straight to hospital. luckely i did not hit my face or head. these are very dangerous machines. Always keep distance. you were very lucky this time!!
TR failure, good save. There was some good luck involved, too, as the pilot can be seen dividing his attention between flying and dodging the heli. He was definitively hovering too close to him, this video is a good example of why we should take off, land and hover further out. Glad nothing happened.
Por el sonido, parece fallo de la corona, o de la unión de la cola, que se ha separado un poco el torque de la cola. Aún así, no se ha hecho nada , así que bien salvado.
No it's not panic you can see that rear rotor does not respond,
the rpm on the tail are going down faster, It might be due to belt driving break.
It's a heavy machine. That huge thing coming down with negative collective and all that rotor speed... trust me, he damaged quite a bit. Could have been the motor giving out, maybe threw a magnet-- Also, sounds like a torque tube gear stripped while he was doing those delicate pitch pumps... Like I said. It's just a REALLY heavy machine. Yes,it could have been way worse, but that boom and all those little gears are stripped for sure. Frame probably shot. Requires quite the lookover
SR Javier ,precioso ese model , que causo la falla en el rotor de cola ???
Only the pilot's pride
Bueno, segun su dueño se debió aflojar el acoplamiento con el rotor de cola, por ese fallo perdio el control del heli.
Good save :)
Is it really a crash if there was no damage?
MY LORD, this guy fly these helicopters, and he cant even fly nose in. He panicked when the nose drifted, and lost control just because he cant fly nose in. How sad.
Dude if your gonna get rid of that huey can i have it plz seriously i always wanted a Rc 212
Good video
Thanks!
Spectacular save of that 212.. Boy, us helicopter pilots have skills don't we!?
for my experience I think its the 45 degree articular joint came loose .
I think same as you, about the reason of this incident.
It did seem to wobble a little shortly before the crash. You can hear some strong wind gusts on the camera, if they weren't caused by the blades and were natural wind, I'm willing to bet that disymetry of lift caused the fly-bar or rotors to bash against the rotor hub.
This situation actually took out a few real Hueys before they implemented systems to prevent it.
My solution? Have four or more blades, made of a more flexible material or use a coaxial contra-rotating system. Yes that means you can't have a nice Huey replica, but I think that's much safer against disymetry of lift.... I THINK, I don't actually know haha!
I've been messing around in DCS Mi-8 MTV, and I still crash all the time. But I bought Mi-8 when all the reviews said "Unlike the UH-1 Huey sim, this heli doesn't try to kill you every twenty seconds!"
What you on about! Its clear he cant fly nose in. I know because this happened to me too before. Mybe you should go to speck savers, and sort your eyes out. !
Dude Its not a Crash Its a Rotor or Engine Failure. If its a Crash Everything will turn into pieces but its just a FAIL! ITS A FAILURE
which pos engine was inside?
what a big scale crash..../it works it works .... the dislike button works
No explosion?????
uff. lo salvaste buena reaction
Insufficient rotor RPMs?
More like a hard landing then a crash, good thing he was not higher,
It happens...the only thing i saw that he did wrong was he was flying to close to himself.
Engine failure. It had nothing to do with loss of tail rotor effectiveness.
Beautyfull Scale model and awsome vid
@Xavier Sanchez
Do I win?
Nice scale torque spin
I CAME TO SEE DESTRUCTION NOT CLICK BAIT!
It's not really a crash, more of a rough touchdown
Vous avez eu de la chance
If it was a Driven tail then his tail Drive whether it may be belt or Torque tube its done.
holy carp those r big
I am so proud of you americans, there s no other such smart people on earth.
awful unstable flying btw
Dam, i have a monkey on my back. I do apologize to Javier Rullan Ruano. For my bad behavior, i will hold my head in shame for the rest of this day.
K gran choque
best part!! when he crash bad
What's sarcasm?
Glad you have seen the error of your ways. Dont do it again :)
lucky man
Theres no damages
50th comment I get a small free helicopter
there's an aircraft mechanic :)
Just the tail rotor. Nothing whorse haha. Bell ♡
Hahaha. So, one has to be an 'expert' heli flyer to have a scale ship? You slag the bloke off because he lost control of the heli when the TR failed? Have you ever flown a heli? If you had, you'll know a TR failure isnt about flying 'nose in.'
Dullard :)
Beautiful scale heli are meant to be flying out aside from just hovering which makes it more realistic and airworthy but pilot seems not yet qualified to fly such expensive RC model. Guess if one has alot of money and even did'nt have the skill yet to fly those thing... it does'nt matter because Money plays ha ha !
Such useful insight. Not!
