- Welcome back to Grenada friends! In this week’s episode we’re experiencing the amazing Grenada Carnival, Spicemas.
Held over three days these celebrations carry huge cultural and historical significance in Grenada.
There are three main events, Pretty Mas with the fancy colourful costumes, Monday Night Mas where lights from the parades create a spectacular show of illuminations, and possibly the most important here, Jab Jab which is uniquely Grenadian.
Join us as we party hard and learn more about the meanings behind Carnival here in Grenada.
If you’re interested in hearing some soca party tunes, check out this playlist we put together on Spotify: open.spotify.com/playlist/66e...
Let us know in the comments if you think you’d enjoy carnival in Grenada 🇬🇩!
Much love,
Sarah, James & Ady

Woohoo, shake dat booty!!! Ta for the playlist - modern calypso beats perhaps not my favourite sounds, but I quite understand how they party atmosphere would rock to these.
As for the new digs... third time lucky! That's a fab position. Ady is clearly soaking up the vibe! Huggies, YAM xx
Yeah understand about the music, we weren’t massive fans originally either. But in context it sounds amazing though and it’s the perfect dance track for carnival.
It’s something we always find really interesting about travelling, how outside of a certain culture or country we might not enjoy a food/drink/music etc. but when we’re there experiencing it in its rightful setting it just works, if that makes sense?
The apartment was great, can’t beat a beachfront place. Hope you’re well 😀❤️
