I felt the same as George when my parents moved my siblings and me from the only house we ever knew to a neighborhood where we didn’t know anyone. I cried a lot but eventually got used to it. Many years later my parents retired and moved to the desert and my brother bought our childhood home from them and raised his own family there. One day he was mowing his lawn and a man approached asking if my brother would allow his house to be in a movie, which turned out to be crazy famous. It’s a big thumbs up for me now. Hang in there George. You never know what kind of fun and excitement awaits you.

I agree with you about moving, it helps to unclutter your new home ! I was surprised at the amount of things I had in my attic, that I had not used in the years I had lived in one house. Those went into the FREE pile, so as not to take along to the next place and go unused.

We are going through a very similar experience right now… selling our first home, moving to a new state, leaving our neighbors that we love like family, etc. and it’s comforting to see how good things can be on the other side of all of this. 💙

We moved with my 5 and 2 year old out the home I’ve lived in for 9 years last month into a hotel for a month and we finally moved into our new house this week, my son has a super hard time with the transition but we’re ok now! I feel you guys sending prayers❤️❤️❤️

Just remember that the grass is not always greener on the other side. Although weather may change, days may be difficult, it is the sense of community that we develop that suggests we are "home." I wish you well and hope you can finally find your forever home where you can develop and keep that community for yourselves and your children.
Completely agree! We've lived in our home for almost 8 years and it didn't start feeling like home until the last 4 years when we started really developing a community around us. Now the thought of starting over and picking up and moving, leaving all our friends behind is sad to think about.

We live in Ball Ground, Georgia but are from Louisiana. They call chiggers “red bugs” in Louisiana. Those and “no see ems” are the worst part of living in the South, but I wouldn’t live anywhere else! Welcome Home!

George made me so sad. We moved out of the house I came home from the hospital to when I was 7 turning 8 and I was so sad. It’s been 22 years and my sister and I still talk about that house. If I ever become a millionaire one of the first things I’d do is go buy that house back. I feel you George! Baby violet looks like her mama!!!

My son and I moved 35 times (for different reasons) and we always said "Thank you" to each place and its things and when we got to the next one we said, "Hello, we're here".
Many things were left behind, they are the foundations of who we are today
I talked to my daughter today who finished packing up her home of 11 years, is staying in a hotel for another night before joining her cat for a few days and then an international move where her husband is. She is nearly at the excited stage although it means leaving very good friends, a wonderful job and........her nearly 19 y/o son (my only grandchild) behind! He opted to remain where he is establishing a life for himself.

Catching up on all the vlogs right now thru the past year and a half, bc that’s when I started my first big girl job. Haha I graduated and moved back from St. George 2 years ago and I’m so sad I just missed you guys. With all this moving around, I would like to know grandma Trish’s moving situation. She moved next to you guys a couple years ago, then she got that tiny house in southern Utah, but now they’re in Georgia again?? I’m a bit confused.

Yeah when I moved from Kansas to Ohio when my daughter was only 7 months old it was meat packing everything up from my house I had my babysitter husband and a friend of mine loading the Penske truck and then I wanted to get up and leave early in the morning that didn't happen there was too much fog and drive me driving the Penske truck in the frog with my baby girl by me know what's happening we just had around and waited but I do agree with you darling when you are moving you know how much stuff you have until it's ready we packed up and load it up my time I got one room finish packing their head on myself on my bedroom out to the truck and then they worked in the living room but if it wasn't for them I don't know what I would have done it was long hard you just take care of yourself
