- Today's video comes from the city of Baltimore, Maryland, during a layover for a chartered group. I had forgotten just how rough some of the roads are over here. Prepare to hear a lot of rattling.
Vehicle: 2017 MCI J4500
Engine: Detroit Diesel DD13
Transmission: Allison B500
Good choice on the bus lane 😂 keep up the good work, looking forward to the next video!
Dude you're brilliant. You're skilled at driving. The beginning was sorta claustrophobic to me with the barriers and narrow roads and the close driving cars. The tunnel at the end was cool but narrow. That only bus lane comes in handy
these things look pretty fun ngl. something so fun about driving buses on rough roads at speed thru cities tbh. ive driven RTS's and C40s on roads similar to this and ive had a ton of fun.
OMG Eugene. Is this the 2021 you guys just bought??? I can't believe it's rattling like that already! LOL :-D Other than that, love and dig this particular coach. Just wished the airbrakes made more noise when you take you foot off the pedal.
Not a 2021
This is a 2017. Most of the rattling does come from the sunshades, which are rail-mounted, but also I was driving in Baltimore, which is quite harsh on the ride.
@@eugew23 Oh, that's right. I forgot about the 2017 you folks have as well. I didn't know that about the sunshades. But, I could also hear the components of the front wheels when you were hitting those bumps--which is quite common on most MCI models with the kneeling feature.
so almost wonderful video friend
Still watching🔥
Hola muy lindo el bus saludos desde Costa Rica 🇨🇷🇨🇷🇨🇷💯

Hey Eugene I was wondering if you would happen to know if MCI and NovaBus share any parts?
The startup sequence and indicators are exactly the same so that had me wondering if they share anything at all
Hmmm all I know is that both MCI and Novabus are Canadian brands. But also I wouldn't be surprised if they source some equipment from the same manufacturer as well.
@@eugew23 That I knew, at first I thought of the parts sourcing too but then I thought it couldn't be possible since MCI is part of the NFI Group while NovaBus is part of the Volvo group (along with Prevost) so I always got confused when I get on a MCI and I hear some nova dashboard sounds
@@theepicgamer84 some other viewers have also noted that this bus shares parts/components with some Blue Birds, Thomases, etc, so I'm willing to support our initial guesses on the matter.
@@eugew23 actually I have the answer. It's the company who made the dashboard, apparently nova dosen't make the dashboard entirely in house so that's why the MCI and Nova's share the same startup sequence (the 3 beeps and 2x double clicks followed by 2x double "pop" sounds)

1:07 AYO? THAT STARTUP SOUND ALSO CAME FROM BLUEBIRD
yes a Bluebird vision and a Bluebird all-American
What does spot time mean?
0:32 wow
1:08 sounds like a blue bird.
Actia dashboard
Why does the turn signal sound like a bluebird one and start up
The dashboard is made by Actia
Eugene Wassup Buddy?
