The first time Caleb tried to cast the spell, the music in the background was thrilling and heart-pounding and the situation was a lot more intense. This time, while still being an incredible moment, the music is peaceful and certain and calming. It's a get contrast that I think really shows Nott's journey to being Veth again
I just wonder how soundproof that bathroom was. Someone walks by, sees that ribbon, and hears those hearfelt speeches, and wonders what the absolute fuck is going on in there.
So... with this done, are we getting a remake of the intro with Nott now being Veth, or will she somehow revert back to goblin? Will she leave the group and go home and Sam changes character? So excited to see where this leads!

@@CriticalRoleHighlights if they make a new intro , i think it should include very short scenes fron the following things from the newest episodes: -Paladin Clay from the wildmother and how he became one. -The transformation from nott to Veth - Caduces and the rest of his Familie in a group hug after they got freed from the stone curse -Jester giving a Cupcake to the old powerful Hag with a smile -Yasha Ripping the wings of the demon guy that dared to turn her against her friends. Now some might wonder why i didn'T say anything particular about caleb and Bo. Thats because i think they just shine the best in Action scenes with magic and punching ^v^
nothing? immunity to nat 1's (which are a bigger deal than you think, remember in this campaign nat 1's are an automatic failure, even if you'd otherwise succeed. now, granted that still only applies to at best 5% of rolls, so its still not *huge* but its definitely significant. she also can now move through *any* creatures space so long as they're bigger than her. means she can't get cornered except by small creatures. has advantage against being feared. realistically a ribbon ability, but it'll come in handy if they ever have to fight something like a dragon (i.e. something that has a fear aura). and based on the con score change, she's a light foot. so she can now hide behind the party members to get advantage. its purely subjective whether it was a worthwhile change, but it was absolutely not an objective downgrade.
It’s not like she turned into a Goliath or something. Halflings are great rogues, just different from goblins. What she loses in damage (Fury of the Small) she gains in mobility (moving through the spaces of larger creatures). She can already hide or disengage as a bonus action as a rogue but now she can hide behind allies and reroll 1’s. It’s an equivalent at worst, possibly an upgrade.
@@sillyking1991 Unfortunately halfling luck is undercut pretty heavily by the Reliable talent that Veth gets anyway, as most of the REALLY bad nat 1's are things like trap disarming and lockpicking and stealth, which Veth can't get below a 10 on.
kinda reminded me of the ol laugh tracks in sitcoms. sometimes it went off when it was just dialogue and nothing funny was even said. The audience needed to chill.
She went from being a goblin with a +1 bonus to con to a light foot halfling that has a cha bonus instead. Losing that point of con coots her some hp, but it's fine, they're hitting an ASI level next level up
Its a nice closure to a personal arc. But i found the Goblin companion more interesting than the Halfling in a group dynamic... I just don't like Humans/Elves/Dwarfs and Halflings, i'm more a Monstruous races person...
Oh, don’t do humans like that. I love to play humans, and not because I’m basic, but because I’m not. NOBODY PLAYS THEM! It’s ridiculous. They’re the most common race, yet you always see such colorful and diverse and humanless parties.

Someone commented that they’re love of Nott largely stemmed from the unconventional choice to make a goblin PC for a mainstream D&D series. While I didn’t initially agree, I see now that Nott is essentially a different character, now. It’s kind of a letdown.
I feel the same. Goblins are a race that people in-world hate, fear, and are likely to kill on sight. Having "that one oddball exception" is always an interesting route to explore with a character and how they change that perspective from "kill on sight" to "that one hero goblin". I love cursed characters, but not totally on-board with this one. But hey, their story, not mine.
While I understand, it's their character, man I wish they would have just been a goblin. Also, I wish both Sam's characters weren't so, goblin racist?? lol. Scanlan was a gnome and apparently they hate goblins for whatever reason, and while Veth has a valid reason for hating goblins, I just really want there to be more goblin NPC's in critical role, who they actually interact with. They seem to largely ignore goblin npcs. Wensforth, who they see all the time, they just basically ignore him, aside from just messaging to tell him their gonna be showing up.
I actually didn't like their little "we're gonna be fucking in here"insinuation. Especially since Jester is underaged and how horrible her mother is for allowing such things.
If we look at what's been stated so far, there's more information to support that Jester's in her 20's than anything: In episode 33, Jester's mom confirms that "it's been decades" since she last saw The Gentleman. In episode 56, Jester says she met The Traveler for the first time "15 years ago" when she was a kid, which would logically mean she was at least 5 years old. In episode 74, Reani confirms that she saw Marion perform 28 years earlier, which Laura confirms "must've been before I was born". This puts Jester's age at between 20 and 28 years old.

We also don't know when VN released the traveler. They keep so many many many things vague so we can't figure it out. That information is important for some reason.
She was most likely offended on a meta level by the suggestion because she doesn't want Jester's age to be written in stone, and Matt almost did that. She said in an interview/con panel Q&A that the reason for why she's refused to give away Jester's true age is because she still isn't sure if she wants to change it sometime in the future or not, so it could just as well be an indication of Jester being older or younger than we think. We can also assume that the most likely reason for why she acts so young and naive is because she lived a rather spoiled and sheltered life at the chateau. It doesn't necessarily have to reflect her age. Also, the Mighty Nein only met on 16 Sydenstar in the year 835 and it's currently 19 Unndilar, 836. That's less than a year ago in-game (273 days as of episode 103 to be exact) so her personality is still pretty much the same as it was when she left the chateau. She hasn't had enough time out in the real world to "grow up", not that I think Jester will change very much regardless of how much time she spends adventuring. She'll probably be the exact same way she is now when she's in her golden years. With that said, I'm just gonna go with the information that we do have. Nothing's proven but whatever info we do have at least point to her being older than her mid-teens.
