As a Blue-Eyes collector, this is an absolute must have! I’d also like to put my collection binders in the case as well as use the foam for the display cases you’re making to display my OG Ghost Rare cards + more on top of them.

The fact that they didn't showcase the actual product is what hold me back from ordering two of these, as I was originally planning to. The card quality is definitely the main worry here, as well as the layout of the three BEWD in display. Man, I really hope they keep the old Series 3 layout, just like the DDS one has, and only change the set number. This should pose no real threat to the market value of DDS BEWD, as collectors would be able to distinguish between the two. OCG Konami did it just right, man. Printing the three BEWD in all its original Series 1 Jump Festa glory and simply adding the Eye of Anubis stamp, which in turn pushes the letters to the left, makes just enough of a difference for both casual and OG collectors to be happy! I really hope TCG Konami doesn't mess up this unique and incredible product.
Also, mad respect for your amazing creation, mate! Can't wait to put these babies inside Kaiba's briefcase. For how long will the pre-order be available?

Great breakdown, very fair honestly. All I know is Konami better listen and print the cards using OCG stock or else it'll be a colossal flop. The ocg case was insane
also they should stick to the classic layout. wheres the point in releasing a nostalgia product if the cards look like regular modern reprints?

I can’t believe that the original art blue eyes was only printed once in secret rare in general back in DDS that was prismatic secret but it wasn’t even printed in regular secret rare which I think would’ve looked cooler as a regular secret
I got the original case factory sealed from Japan and I am not opening that thing. I will even keep the cardboard box sealed. This is a better investment than 500 dollars of gold right now.
I am confident this will be OCG card prints. The Adidas promo was, The Pot Collection is, and the fact that the whole set will be coming from Japan (why would they print the cards in TCG, ship them to Japan, then ship the case from Japan back to NA?) is plenty of evidence for me.

I can already tell right now this thing will not only print money for Konami, but for people who buy it as well.
Let's say you take the $400+Shipping+Tax plunge now.
This is made to order and no extras are made down the line.
The fact that this is an official Konami product means that the price of this is going to skyrocket say, a year or so down the line.
I can honestly see this thing having a return rate of $1k easily for anyone that decides to resell it at a later date simply because there's so few and in a limited quantity.
The smart thing to do would be to order 2. One for yourself and open/unbox, and the other kept sealed and unopened if possible to potentially resell once prices go up.

Sadly its not every card Kaiba used. If they make a product like that, its an instant buy for me. I hope they get released without the briefcase some time soon.

One issue with the case is that it scratches way too easily. The metal is extremely soft, so I would say the quality is quite bad in terms of durability.
Is there any way to protect it? Like some extra layer on the exterior?

@@yot330 you could potentially buy some rubber feet and stick it on each corner that way when you lay it down it’s lifted off the surface a little.

English release. $400 plus $95 shipping for one. If you are lucky you dont have to pay taxes. I saw one person who was around $580 for one.

The quality issue is not a matter of TCG vs OCG, it is a Konami USA issue, so everything printed in their factories have that crappy cardboard, foil-scratched, dull cut and crooked borders and not to mention that the american boxes always share the same mapping within their sets, so it is super easy to just identify the pattern and pull the big hits. Just go ahead and try to grab any of the EU prints (in any language) or any speed duel product since all their products are also printed in Belgium so you can see the difference.
You are so right man, I recently got my hands on some Spanish Speed Duel cards, even if the picture is darker, looks so much richer and the foil is a lot more shinier. Also the speed duel cards had a coat of glossy finish for the watermark that gives the cardstock a premium finish. And is paradoxically cheaper than the standard TCG print😂, I decided to never buy USA printed cards again.
Wasn't expecting it being that expensive. 😮 There goes my dream of a licensed kaiba case I guess.

Not that I’m doubting you, because you’re way more in the know than me, but why is it so outlandish that they would go with the original card design and format for the Blue Eyes? Especially when they did it in the OCG release.
To me it doesn’t make sense for them to celebrate the original blue eyes by effectively just reprinting a recent version worth a couple dollars but now in prismatic haha

My only complaint is the cheap handle. Konami makes this nice heavy ass briefcase and goes with a plastic handle. 😂
Just purchased the OCG Version. I like yugioh but I don't really care about the TCG in general. The TCG is pretty ass now imo lol. I preferred how the BEWDs looked like the ones in the anime for the Japanese version and you can't go wrong with the jump festa look.
tbh I have an old Poker case that looks REALLY similar but the inside is meant to hold decks, dics, though MOSTLY the chips.. Always wanted to make it into a KC case though still lol

I checked these out on what turned out to be the last day for pre-order, it was a bit expensive for me in Australia. I Found another interested local party that was keen on splitting the cost on fb the very next day, only to discover that the pre-order had closed :/ pretty bummed really as I suspect these will be in fewer supply then the ocg ones at release next year.

Knowing that the shipping date could be at any time now just has me itching to gather as many cards as Kaiba used or would absolutely use to bolster his Blue-Eyes cards to have one super deck in all foil, if possible - you try and tell me that Kaiba wouldn't include the Eyes of Blue and Synchro monsters or the DSOD cards in his original DM deck if he could, just so he could prove he's better than any other duelist in his own time.

Great video man, I'm really on the fence with this case! I wish they would just show us the Blue-Eyes so we could know what we're getting. Personally I'm a lot less interested if they go with the newer format (Shiny stars and attribute sign). Those precision inserts look amazing though man
I’d plan on them using the new format. It just makes sense and would differentiate it from the original DDS print enough to make it unique.

The price on the 25th anniversary case is too rich for my blood. It's an amazing looking case though, no denying that.

It's not $400, it's $500 plus taxes. The only way it will cost you less than $500 is if you buy many of them and save on shipping, which I don't really recommend haha

The 3 blue eyes cards and the kaiba deck should have been printed in anime format.
(No name, or words printed just purely the picture with the stats and basic back)
It would have made more sense that way and make getting this product more worth it for such one of a kind cards. But no.... instead we get the same old printings of the same old cards as usual.
That's why I got the suitcase a fraction of the price on ebay without the useless cards

I have the lckc blue eyes and I think the dds blue eyes looks nicer. That is the only selling point for me. However, I just don't need a briefcase and would rather hope they just sell the dds as is. Its a pass.

Konami should standardize printing card quality. Is horrendous when I see a "new" card with factory lines or scratches, even on a 1 USD foil card, not to mention more expensive singles on TCG, while on OCG the cards are almost perfect, made with high quality materials. Why do we receive crap on TCG? why not on both markets we receive the same quality? I stopped collecting modern TCG cards for that reason, only the prismatic cards from mega tins seems to have more quality but anyways.
I hope they standardize to the Japan or Euro print. Recently got my hands on some Spanish Speed Duel cards and they look and feel so much better than the pale USA printed cards.
Does it come with Kaiba's theme song when you pick it up and carry it around?
