I have only now managed to watch the recording of last Sunday's service for Pentecost as I somehow caught a dreadful cold which I am only now starting to recover from. It was just a cold but one can feel very miserable while it lasts as I am sure you all know. As I tuned in to your service it was so good to see your lovely grounds full of lush grass, beautiful trees and Spring flowers and of course the matchstick model of your Kirk and to hear the organ's lovely tones filtering through the Kirk. The choir with their introit and later on their Anthem gave us pleasure, Aaron gave a great talk to the children on how to prepare for a long walk and no doubt Alasdair and Morag are now recovering from their walk from Buckie to Aviemore - stalwarts indeed. Thank you to Jenifer for the two bible readings. I love the story of Pentecost with the tongues of fire, the mighty rushing wind and everyone being filled with the Holy Spirit and knowing what was being said in their own language. The singing was great and Rev. Stephen's message from the pulpit was excellent as usual. I was most interested to hear about Aaron taking Pierre's funeral. What clever people we have around us. The prayer of thanksgiving and intercession was lovely too. Just what was needed to round off the service. Not checking for errors so my apologies if there are any.
