All that arid area takes 4 regions (Granada, Almería (the road showed here), Murcia and South of Alicante). In other words, you can drive more than 400km with that landscape
I think that arid area is very impressive. In my country (Portugal) the only dry areas are in some islands around Madeira, because in the winter even the Algarve can't escape the rain!
@@jmg3344 But the climate isn't actually an arid one. The only inhabited place in Portugal that is arid is Porto Santo, an island off the coast of Madeira.
