Very cool tips - thanks!
Thanks!! great tutorial
Excellent, Thankyou!
Thanks for the gread video! In my c4d (R17) the attractor works a bit different and hides in the particles-section in the dropdown-menu. And when I apply the attractor to the spline, it goes all bananas, throwing the spline anywhere but in its own center. Is there a way to fix that on my version? Thanks a bunch!
Hey how did you stop pegs from falling down
My spline is just not falling down. Doublechecked all the settings.
Why is it that every time someone on UA-cam does Cinema 4d dynamics (whether its cloth or soft body) they get a nice, clean looking result on the first try? When I do it I get something that twists, buckles and folds and mostly passes through the collision object.
Happens to me too, this is just something we practiced a dozen times so we figured out the quirks. Lots of different dials to play with to stabilize things, unfortunately it's never as easy as it looks!

Ctrl+D > dynamics > Expert then increase step per frames.
Once you done, manage the point number of your spline, probably are too high
the year in the name of the channel is confusing, I thought the video is from 2011, almost missed it
Yeah, I started The Pixel Lab in 2011. All the Pixel Lab youtube names were taken sadly :(
Very nice tutorial. I never thought to try soft bodies with splines. Much more control than spline dynamics tag. Thank you
