@@dogol284 yes God bless, but this concert *was* planned to be filmed on 35mm cameras. It was indeed filmed on 35mm because the director wanted to film Queen for theatrical purposes.
There's a website that's European where they have ALL the Queen concerts. They even Wembley '86 Saturday. night. I am unable to send the link however it can be found. Don't go into you Tube, just keep looking you will find it.
YASSSS!! same here!! for me, the best Queen concert is QUEEN: Rock Montreal (1981). MY FAVORITE!! second is the "Hungarian Rhapsody: QUEEN Live in Budapest" (1986) ❤❤❤
Someone want to tell me how anyone can dislike Queen? Oh, someone who has no clue about Music and real performance! Queen was, is and always will be Magnificent!
this is my favourite concert for everything, i just love absolutely everything hahah, also disco deaky awwww i cant also the blue outfit is superior, i love deakyy
@@aussierhino8535 well, not just the Tokyo concerts, but during the Jazz Tour, Freddie’s voice was really weak that he couldn’t really sing well. His voice cracked a lot ;( apparently he didn’t get enough rest after the Jazz recording sessions and immediately went on tour like a week after, so throughout late 1978 - early/mid 1979, his vocals weren’t that good. But he rested after May 1979, recorded a few songs, like Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Save Me, and then Queen did a short tour called Crazy Tour. It was the best tour for Freddie because he was able to hit high notes so easily during that tour. That peak form of his was till early 1981.. afterwards his vocals started to get weak a bit, but it was okay again, that’s why the Montreal 1981 shows were great..
The Jazz rocker is indeed one of the greatest tracks to have been used as an opening track for Queen concerts. Technically not an opening track but somewhat to rock the audience before playing some more hits. Queen only opened some shows with the track during the Crazy Tour. 😎
So was this a tough crowd?? This Montreal concert from what I heard was suppose to be unbelievable I hope they appreciated what they had witnessed . The woman with hands covering her ears lol must of been her first Queen concert . You can also see the girl with the camera up front who was in AWE !!!!
The engineers mixed the audience quite low which is why you don’t hear them screaming that much. But truth is, they did. It was why the band went to play in Montreal rather than in New York for the film. If you hear the audience tape of the first night, you’ll hear the audience cheer very loudly, so it’s basically because of the audio mix, you don’t hear the audience that much.
What if someone told you in exactly 10 years from this concert, down to the date, the greatest showman who ever lived had passed away? How would you react? R.I.P Farrokh Bulsara, R.I.P Freddie Mercury, R.I.P The Greatest Showman in all of eternity!
Live Killers is my favourite album, one of the best, but it isn’t Freddie’s best tour at that point more because of his voice. I think Montreal’s one is better despite the overdub done. The overdub placed in “Jazz razzmatazz you” was not because Freddie couldn’t sing, it’s because he forgot the line and messed up.. 😅🤣
If you look at the bottom right of the screen as the camera is backing up at the beginning there is a woman at the front who is covering her ears... how can you cover your ears at a Queen concert!!! WHAT!!!! I have a feeling she was forced to go by her boyfriend 😂🤣
I watched the entire concert on some European equivelent of You Tube. The WHOLE whole unfiltered Freddie. I watched it twice that day. Highlights...crown didn't know all songs, he told them to get your asses moving, well we're waiting. come on you Fuckers, while singing Love of my life you could hear the hurt in his voice. He turns to Brian ans said, "they don't know it: then a pause in the music Brian said "that's allright". This explains The shorts and really off the wall behavior at the end. As the God Save the Queen ens the show he screams "let'sl go out & get fucked" (or something like it) Plus it was supposed to be a movie...lol
There may be some loud feedbacks from the guitar, so chill. 😅🤣 not her fault if it gets to loud. Plus some people may be sensitive to the sound, but you’ll definitely get back at me saying, “then she shouldn’t have went for the show”. 😐, but chill. That’s her choice. Who knows this may be her first Queen concert? Queen’s live sound is extremely good and loud, so if you are first time, you have to get used to it. 😎
@@eliemeouchi5445 it is good, but it’s not Queen’s best concert. 😅 anyone who says this shall look at other concerts. How can you simply conclude that a 20 min set is better than a Queen concert? 1:59 they call him disco deaky for a reason!
Seeing this in IMAX in full 1.43x1 with Freddie occupying the entirety of my vision was insane. What a legend.
when be started singing this I KNEW I was going to be entertained
Just saw this in imax. It was incredible
we are so fortunate for this quality that’s the closest we will get to how it might have been

It’s always great when people future-proof their stuff with film.

The live album released with this I consider the best live album of all time.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!
Brian May is totally underrated as a guitarist--He's top 5--maybe 3
he's the best guitarist ever if you ask me, queen had it good, top 5 drummer, top 3 bassist, top guitarist and signer. overhall the best band i know.
urm.. he's number one. no ifs, no buts, no arguments. just facts
Personally, I think he’s number 1. Plus he’s an amazing songwriter which makes him even more iconic
He is definitely not underrated like John
