Most finance companies make you get gap coverage, then you don't come out of pocket and be in the negative. I had a similar situation last August. Take one thing at a time according to priority, don't overthink and take the path of least resistance. If you have to extend the rental it is what it is, don't sweat it, relax and breathe this too shall pass.

Hi Anthony DONT LET THEM FIX THAT CAR buy a new one because with the way parts are not available today and the shoddy work that is being done to fix things you will have problem after problem with that car when its "repaired" then when you go to sell it there will be problems. Thats why God has the permanent tags NOT showing up, you will get a new car and God needed that truck to have that accident for you now its time for a different car. As a former claims adjuster I can say that once a vehicle is deemed a total loss by the insurance co., they will NOT even consider paying for repairs. If it is a Total Loss they will handle it as such. If you have a lien holder on the vechile they will pay off the loan and you would be entitled to the balance if there is one.
I remember my vehicle being totaled and State Farm did not even think about repairing it, they paid me what my vehicle was worth, because it was a paid off vehicle.
He claims adjuster isn't there full replacement value if the vehicle is just a new purchase?
Yep, that’s exactly what I thought would happen. And sadly, depending on the insurance company, they will drop the individual because the accident happened so soon after the new car purchase. Praying that all goes well for Anthony. We can see how stressful this situation is for him. It sounds link the frame was bent due to the force of the impact, which one won’t see until they take the car apart. If the frame is bent, it is 100% a total loss. Yes, my dad's car was totaled and the insurance company ended up giving dad $20,000 for his Camaro.
In my case when that happened to me the insurance company did not pay for the entire lien on the car. And they expected me to pay the remaining balance. And I wasn’t the one that hit anybody there was some people without a drivers license or insurance that hit me it was a mess
I believe the tags will show current in state records even though temporary tags are expired. Call DMV with your VIN #
Anthony - Let your insurance company handle it with the repair company and the tow company. The insurance company will need to send the adjuster out again. Direct everything to your insurance company and their adjuster
Rent a small pickup for your things to take back to the campground. Check out the fees for dropping off the rental at a different location

Anthony is saying on this video he doesn't even know if he has the type of insurance for car replacement. He needs to read his documents. Same way when he got the trailer and mentioned the shower. Did he not go in the shower to stand and scope it out before he bought it?

Anthony. If they total your car, take off the tow bar. It’s yours and you can put the tow bar on your new car.
Loving the former adjusters here, because I was one as well.
Anthony, sometimes there is damage that is not visible that is significant. So, in this case, it is now time to get in the mindset of new car. It sucks, but the insurance company should be able to make the payment(s) quickly. The rental can be extended until you receive the payment for the vehicle.
You should receive actual cash value for the car - not necessarily what you paid - minus any deductible and any fees. I am in California, so policies do vary by state. My advice, no more red cars. I just feel they are bad luck. Also, become a defensive driver - helps with making you better aware of your surroundings and control when driving.

From a former adjuster if more than one airbag deployed then yes it was totaled. The insurance company can and should extend your rental for you. If you have any other questions let me know.
😢😢Okay if he just purchased this vehicle and it was a new vehicle as I am understanding it, wouldn't the insurance company do a 100% replacement value? And then he can simply purchase another car on the lot.
I swear he is stressing out way too much because the insurance company should have explained this to him if it's a total.

I think that a lot of people needed to hear you process this trial in your life. You are a man of faith and you have such a cheerful attitude. By the end of you talking it out you had gained a lot of perspective and you were able to come down on the side of gratitude. That is always the best place to land, being grateful for all the ways that you have been blessed. You will be fine and you showed others how to think differently about their troubles as well! Rent a U haul get GAP insurance on your next vehicle. The check will go to the company that financed your vehicle, if they give you more for the car you will only get the difference
Anthony like I told you in the other video drive your rental car to the U-HAUL place and park it there put all your stuff from your suv in the U-HAUL and drive it back to the camp ground and unload it then go back to the U-HAUL place get your rental car and go back to the camp ground and try to organize all your stuff the best you can until you get a storage unit for your camp area then take care of everything else as you can I Love You ❤❤ and it will be alright just do what you have to do

The insurance company will low ball you on the worth of the car. Call the body shop guy and ask him to give you the model and any upgrades on it and then go online and look at " comps" . That is comparable vehicles of the same make , model and year with apx the same amount of mileage. And see what is being charged. If you pull comps that are significantly higher than what they're offering, you can submit them and if they're reputable, they'll match.

It sound likes the frame may be bent or things underneath shifted. If if totaled then get the most money and keep it moving. You can look like a million bucks on the outside and be falling apart on the inside.
Even with a second look front end damage usually cars never runs properly
Don’t worry about buying a car right away. Although it may be an expense you can use Uber to get around in the interim and take your time picking the right car for you.
All I can think of is that the frame of the car is probably bent too...
Probably I was in accident where the frame was bent. So was my son two years ago and the car was totaled and there was still balance left on the car. He had to pay the balance. Buy different car about year ago. Thank God he wasn’t hurt and neither was the other driver. My granddaughter wasn’t with him at the time of the accident. Her car seat was no longer safe for her to ride in. Because the car was in accident. These things are always costly to the people that can least afford them.
uhauls a are cheaper option to go get your stuff out of your car. you can even get one of those trailers and hitch it up to the rental car. I hope all goes well. I'm sorry you're going through this. Big hugzzz
What a mess Anthony, so sorry hope it all works out soon. But I have to throw my unwanted opinion in here, I thought when you said you bought another vehicle, I thought it was going to be a truck. Now I know it said you could tow 6k, I have a mid sizes Dodge Dakota, big 6 and I wouldn't even consider coming that close in towing. Not only should you take into account for weight of trailer but every thing in it and what you have packed in the car. I'm not saying you are carring huge amounts of weight but the items you have add up. Need to also consider mountainous roads, they may not be huge climbs but your transmission will struggle and the brakes. Please consider all factors in next purchase. Good luck with getting through all this.
When my Jeep got totaled, for some reason my sister's name was on the title. I couldn't cash my check without her signature and she lives in Georgia and I live in Colorado. I was so stressed out during that time. Eventually called the DMV and found out they made a mistake. But I remember that was pacing the floor a lot during that time.

Those damages, the tow truck driver probably put those damages on the car! Also,, also, ask agent for a 2nd estimate. The mechanic should not be estimating cost of repair or totaling your car! Get another agent and another body shop to repair the car!
Look on the bright side, totaled may be good for you. Now you can get something new with a clean Carfax.
And remember your initial estimate from insurance is pre tear-down. The body shop can't tell you your vehicle is a total loss. The insurance company estimator still has to come out and inspect the vehicle and they determine if it is a total loss.
Anthony it WILL get better. Your absolutely right. Keep moving forward and try to stay positive.
Hi Anthony, you may not understand this but this will somehow some way work out for your good. Crazy as things may look, I truly believe God detoured your life to save your life from something, and quiet as it's kept life happens. This will make you enjoy your cruise vacation even more! Better days are coming. Things will work out and this is what we pay insurance for, let them handle it and you may have a lawsuit against the towing company because sounds like they messed up your vehicle. I can't wait to see your vehicle upgrade!!! You can get a Uhaul to get your things from the old vehicle, and weekly car rentals aren't that expensive, for local travel, you can Uber. Please don't forget to blog everything bc this new content car drama/car totaled (label and tag content appropriately) will bring new and increased viewers!!!!

Totaling it out is probably the best thing that could happen. Others are right about you not wanting that thing now cause if poor repairs and poor replacement parts. Im sorry for the loss of the car but it'll be better if you can just get you a new one. Try not to worry, everything works out in the end. One love!❤

Anthony most dealership will return the rental car for you . Since rental cars have drops off everywhere. Insurance will go through and look at everything on your vehicle tires everything and give you the value for that. Just breathe it will be okay. Must companies do direct deposit

Gather all your receipts for anything you put into your car, new tires, upgrades and make sure your insurance adjuster understands the money you put into it so they comp you.
I have the same issue. I sell myself short and get taken for a ride. Stand tough Anthony and don't settle for whatever they offer you. You've worked so hard to be where you are at. You deserve to get what is ultimately fair!

Hello Anthony. I am tuning in to your channel for first time. I live in PA.
I just listened to this video. My husband and I just went through this. A few months back he had an accident and a week later I had accident. Rental car was provided. When we were due to return the rental we had not had any info on either of our cars. Called rental company told them I needed rental longer , that approved another 7 day and yes insurance paid the bill. Call rental company before you return car.
I feel for you and your situation. Car cars are now totaled these days. They should pay you fair market price. Question them.
You may need to make a lot of calls. Took my insurance 4 weeks to get me my money to me. They did direct deposit check.
Not sure new your car is but you have to sometimes push insurance people. Good luck to you.

Anthony, try the Military Method. It works.
1 Relax your entire face. Close your eyes. Breathe slowly and deeply. Then slowly relax all of your face muscles. (If it helps, start with your forehead muscles and work your way down.) Relax your jaw, your cheeks, your mouth, your tongue, everything. Including your eyes; let them go.
2 Drop your shoulders and hands. Let go of any tension. Relax your neck, your traps; feel yourself sinking into the chair or bed. Then start at the top of your right arm, and slowly relax your biceps, forearms, and hands. Repeat on the other side. And don't forget to keep breathing slowly and deeply.
3 Exhale and relax your chest. With your shoulders and arms relaxed, that should be easy.
4 Relax your legs. Start with your right thigh; let it sink into the chair or bed. Then do the same with your calf, ankle, and foot. Repeat the process with your left leg.
5 Now clear your mind. Granted, it's hard to not think about anything. (I end up thinking about not thinking about anything.) If that's you, try holding an image in your mind. Choose something relaxing. Picture yourself lying comfortably in darkness.
If that doesn't work my tried and true back up. "beat" the stress back down if you catch my drift man. I know it's odd, but try "beating the stress" and then repeat the Military Method above. Good luck bro! I hope it helps, it certainly has helped me after the trauma of being a palliative care giver for my mother. Spent weeks not sleeping right before someone suggested the above strategy.

I thought so as well seeing the fluids leaking. It costs more to repair cars now so they are totaling them. But normally the insurance company are the ones that will say it’s totaled and not the body shop. Sorry it is happening.

Create an account online and print a copy of your ins. policy. Look it over, call and have a rep. go over the policy. That's their job. If the rep is overseas call back and get someone in the states. Once you understand your policy you will know what needs to be included or excluded. You need a printer for everything.
First thing first… Compare your pictures from the scene to what your car currently looks like. Sounds like someone may have messed your car up through the tow process. Get a small U-Haul to get your things. I saw the video of your vehicle and $26,000 seems extreme. The only thing I can think of is that the frame itself on the vehicle was damaged?
Next, see if you can rent the U-Haul for the day and leave your rental car parked at their parking lot. Once you return the U-Haul grab your rental car.
After listening to all of this Anthony, my heart goes out to you. Having to deal with the insurance company and repair shop people it can be overwhelming and cause you to loose sleep. But, just remember this one thing… God has already worked this out for you and you just have to let it play out His way. I’m sure folks will disagree with me (or maybe not) but any how…just keep your calm demeanor (because getting angry will just cause you to loose more sleep and won’t accomplish anything). This may cost you some time and some energy and you may even shed a tear before it gets resolved…but just know “Gods got your resolve” stay strong, I’m praying for you. Love from North Carolina❤❤❤

I pray everything works out for the best.
Whatever you pay out of pocket outside what the insurance offers, keep your receipts to file with the insurance except additional funds for a new vehicle costing more than your budget. Such as things for transportation (Rentsl car, Uber, Lyft, U-Haul, etc.).
Check around for auction yards for cars. Also, shop online, i.e., Yahoo for another vehicle. You don't have to buy straight from a dealership.
Miami and Fort Lauderdale have smaller car dealers that sell cars at a reasonable cost and get a carfax report before buying a car unless it's brand new.
Most importantly, ask God to help you make the best decision.
This too shall past. It's going to work out.

I thought of something else. The insurance company probably will not deposit the payout in your bank account. I would suggest that you request that your check be sent FedEx or UPS Overnight. Just another tip to make things convenient for you. Remember the regular mail is crazy right now, and you would probably get your check during the summer😊. Keep your faith. That’s the tricky part about a accident what looks simple to us on the outside may have issues on the inside. Also when you bought your car did you get the gap insurance if so that should cover the difference in what the insurance covers. I know it seems like a lot and it is, but god be the glory everyone walked away.❤
