In 25 years of playing poker I have literally never one time run this good. How fun was that?!!?! Awesome! Also, 100% correct re: not making him show. You got the ships; that's enough. Nice work.
Man what a sick run - As many times as you caught trips - just sick! Hoping me and my buddies can run that hot when we come to Bally’s for one of the WSOP tourneys. Can’t wait for part two - Awesome Vlog!
My girlfriend and I love your vlog! It's very, very well done. On the 9 7 of diamonds hand I don't think a raise is the right play on the river. You could easily be value-owning yourself to a better flush or a boat with a raise.
I played in a Sunday tournament at the Genting in Glasgow a few years ago. I was really impressed with the level of play and the way they ran the tournament.
@@georgewyatt2924 yeah there is a decent wee poker scene here. I generally play at Alea on the Clyde. There is 4 or 5 events in every week plus cash games
NOOOO! I need closure! What a run though. What did you eat for breakfast? What socks were you wearing? Where was the moon at? Did you barter with a wizard on a mossy bridge the night before? I want this feeling. So glad y'all are finally running hot; can't wait for part 2.
I agree. Zero reason to ask to see a losing hand, especially if it becomes live when turned over. I've seen what was thought to be a losing had suddenly win because the "winner" asked to see it.
97s hand depends entirely on what you assign for V’s turn lead. As you pointed out SB should practically have 0 leads on that turn (only 4 combos of A4s K4s) and generally when rec players do something like that they are extremely unbalanced. Given that he showed down 4x in that spot I would approach future hands with that reg assuming he is heavily weighted towards (or even 100%) that type of holding in that spot. As played with no reads/assuming he is balanced it’s pretty close between calling and raising.
Brandon used to live in Vancouver WA where he grew up. That’s where I live. He started out at a local card house I play at. Played with him many times. Occasionally he’ll still show up there when he’s here visiting family.
I couldn't wait.....I had to search online for the results....great job. I'm playing event #5 (June 5th) at this years WSOP.....If you're there can I get a selfie with you and Jesse???
I like how you played the 97 suited hand. It's hard to put him on a 4 there to squueze extra value with a river raise You're folding out his bluffs and some of his Jx holdings too So generally you'd be value owning yourself the times he shows up full or with a better flush
Great blog. this was good it would help to give updates on the tournament as the blog progresses. get some b roll footage of the board in realtime. When you bag up let us know what teh average stack is
You flopped top pair twice and check? Of course someone else is going to bet. I would only check if i planned to check raise. What more do you want out of the hand?
Think you defs raise turn, jam river with the 97 of diamonds, as played it is reasonably tough to get value from much on the river. So I don’t hate the just call.
agree with raise turn, esp against this small sizing. had no idea just how wide he was getting from the sb though...one of those guys that plays more hands if he's 'in the mood' :)
And it all started with the QQ vs KK suck out :) I wonder if you've scouted out the place they will be holding the WSOP at this year - should be at Bally's/Paris.
Congrats on both making day two. Dealer should have shown the cards on the all-in. In your position, since you busted him out, I wouldn't have asked to see.
Day 1A players typically make more than 1B/1C/etc players due to the smaller fields so it's an uphill battle if you want to make more than your Day 1A buddies.
On the flush hand you had with trip 4s your opponent had you did exactly right. If you try more value and he jams, then what? He may have made a boat. If he folds, you’re earning what you would have had you simply called and protected your stack. That was good poker, Ashley.
Novice opinion here. To me the 97 of diamonds hand should be a call most of the time. Sure, you lose value on occasion but I think it’s more likely you give up extra chips more often. And there are very few players who are capable of like shove bluffing here if you raise but if they do you kind of have to fold.
Before I heard your tablemate say it, I was thinking the same thing... it's the dealers job to flip those cards over. You didn't have to ask Brandon, you can insist the dealer to show them.
Damn that was a hell of a run. I think on the hand that you flopped the flush with the 9-7of diamonds at the end I would have raised small to like 30-33k over his bet only because your flush was really disguised. But it doesn’t matter you were running really hot.
good point. some times i miss value when im running hot because something in my brain says it'll keep coming. obviously a leak of mine but good to know
I think when you flopped the flush you should bet it harder right from the start. Your flush was not that strong and you were allowing him to “catch up” you won, but I think I would have bet him off his hand or made him really pay to play. I think in a Tournaments situation it’s better to win lots and lots of pots instead of winning one big one. I really enjoy your videos! Keep it up
So the 9/7 hand when u flopped a flush to turned trip 4s, you asked our opinion on it but inquiring minds want to know, what did Master Jesse S, #tourneycrusher think, if you asked him that is?
Only thing that could have made this day 1 better is if it was a mystery bounty tourney. To bad for your fans we may have to wait a week for day 2 highlights 😢😢😢 #gladyourrungoodwasinfulleffect. Glad Jesse ran good as well!
Just my opinion on the 9-7 hand: You did NOT miss value on the river, as I think he value bets with the intention of folding to a raise. The reason is that he should believe you have a flush or boat if you raise.
I was walking through Bally's when I saw you with this massive chip-stack and I was like "Wow - we'll get another great vlog!" Here it is :-)
Great job taking advantage of running good!
Seeing you get some run good to go with your typical solid play made my day. Finally, the Poker Gods deliver some justice!
That was so awesome to watch, hope the run good keeps going for day 2. Can't wait to see the video
Really looking forward to vlog 2. Love the commentary and your upbeat personality! You make watching these a ton of fun!

Sincerely happy for you!!!
Hell yeah awesome video. Looking forward to the next one.
“You have a really nice stack to just go HAM on the bubble” lmao
What a start! Keep it comin!
Nice job on the run-good and on the vlog! Love it!! Make it a wonderful day, as always, ROCK ON!!
HOLY MOLY. Nicely done. Insane run good lol
Great run, thanks for sharing!
Sweet! Great job. I enjoy watching and listening to your play.
Love your tournament vlogs!
Funny thing, my pet peeve, first thing I noticed was the dirty table! Your play is solid.
Bravo congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 looking forward to the next vlog!

Nice run. Enjoy the moment.
Awesome vlog Ashley!!! Cant wait for the next one 🔥🔥🔥
Can’t wait for the next episode. Good luck Ashley and your fella.
tyty!
Suggestion, can you add your stack size underneath HERO | SEAT?
Awesome to see your good plays combined with the run good turn out to a great day 1 of the tourney! Hope to see you stack up more on day 2!
Congrates. Pls continue the good run. Love from Singapore.
That’s an incredible run, can wait for the next one good luck!

Was thinking the same thing on that hand. I was thinking he might've had pocket 5s or a higher flush, just a call on the river was perfectly played.
Yes yes. Another tourney Vlog for my break from work! Hope run good is in the making for lovely and awesome Ms. sleeth!
Awesome run good!! Looking foward to day 2 vlog. Good luck to you both!!
Great video! You're gonna make Brad & Andrew nervous. 🤣 run it up on Day 2! 💪
Absolute perfection! I just busted a tournament, I'm in Glasgow Scotland, but watching you run good on the bus ride home cheered me right back up!

Amazing, congrats! Can't wait to see how day 2 goes for you both.
Ah, yes what a super start. I hope it continues and you can bink this bad boy!
Started to feel claustrophobic with that stack of chips in my face... :P Great run!!! Love the vlogs!
hahaha thanks Edward

Running hot like oven! Woot woot! Happy for you, Ash :)
When will you publish day 2? I am exited, Can’t wait to see good result

Poker is always easier when ur hitting the goods like that good luck
Day 1 Soul Slayer. Holy schnikes!
Insane run, good luck to you. River value bets with the nuts: extracting another $100 is better than them folding to a $200 bet.
I really love your vlogs! They keep improving and love to see your channel growing!
Running like a Goddess!
Love watching your videos Ashley!
Woah what a run

What are you trying to get value from with a raise? A lower flush? No worse hand would call unless they are terrible at poker.
Brandon used to live in Vancouver WA where he grew up. That’s where I live. He started out at a local card house I play at. Played with him many times. Occasionally he’ll still show up there when he’s here visiting family.
All the best good luck
Love your videos. If possible, can you put your chip stack so we can see how many blinds and to stack to pot ratio?
working on a system to streamline this for all future videos :)
19:10 players shouldn't ask to see, however dealers should do their job and table hands at an all-in showdown
I couldn't wait.....I had to search online for the results....great job. I'm playing event #5 (June 5th) at this years WSOP.....If you're there can I get a selfie with you and Jesse???

On the 66 in a tournament when there’s an all in, both hands are supposed to be tabled. It’s up to the dealer to enforce that
You flopped top pair twice and check? Of course someone else is going to bet. I would only check if i planned to check raise. What more do you want out of the hand?

I loved it but where is day 2
A good day indeed.
You go girl love watching your play!! About time you started getting cards can't wait till day two.
Poker is fun when you win lol 😂
If possible for future vlogs, could you add people's current stack values?? (just your own is enough)
It helps.
And it all started with the QQ vs KK suck out :) I wonder if you've scouted out the place they will be holding the WSOP at this year - should be at Bally's/Paris.
yea i have and those rooms are MUCH better than this little corner they put us in haha
@@AshleySleeth I've booked my tickets - hope to be there to play the first WSOP event this year :)
Congrats on both making day two. Dealer should have shown the cards on the all-in. In your position, since you busted him out, I wouldn't have asked to see.
In tournaments especially

The poker tables are so filthy.
Ashley every hand, “and I just decided to flick in the call.”
You can see he had a facecard, looks like a queen?, when he throws his hand in. Wonder if he had pocket queens and didn't think you got there?
97 just a call in my opinion higer flush + full always possible. It was the save route.
On the flush hand you had with trip 4s your opponent had you did exactly right. If you try more value and he jams, then what? He may have made a boat. If he folds, you’re earning what you would have had you simply called and protected your stack.

Are you related to Rampage? Both of you flop great hands.
You really would benefit from slightly more aggressive play. Especially with a flush
Win it!!!
Oh yeah double green 9 at 6:35 nice
Before I heard your tablemate say it, I was thinking the same thing... it's the dealers job to flip those cards over. You didn't have to ask Brandon, you can insist the dealer to show them.
Day 1 of dreams 😇😇
Shouldn't the dealer always flip cards over though when there is an all-in by showdown in tournaments??
Damn that was a hell of a run. I think on the hand that you flopped the flush with the 9-7of diamonds at the end I would have raised small to like 30-33k over his bet only because your flush was really disguised. But it doesn’t matter you were running really hot.
