Avoid These Gipsy SCAMMERS in Pushkar, India
I came to Pushkar to explore this unknown place. I had a hotel just next to the Pushkar lake. First thing I wanted to do was to explore the lake. Because this is a sacred lake, where people from all over the India come by to dip themselves into the water. It's been said that this lake has medicinal powers and can give you a good health. Near the lake I bought some food for fish and then was approached by guy who asked if I want to be blessed. I said yes. The guy who blessed me, at the end wanted some donations. When I gave him 400 rupees, he was not happy.
Next I went to the city. I had delicious vegetable roll. Had a chat with locals and then I was aproached by a gipsy woman. Who insisted to do some paintings on my hand. She clearly said she don't need money. Instead, she asked me to buy her food, some sort of powder to make bread which cost around 300 rupees. When I was trying to walk away, she insisted to buy her food. At the end IK was not happy with her behavior. I gave her 50 rupees and walked away.
Overall this is a really worth visiting city. But just be aware of these gipsy scams.
