In the original, the last mentioned Pokemon is Arbok; who was once owned by Jessie. And here, the last mentioned Pokemon is Cacnea, who was once owned by James.

They did so because me and Celebi we're not really known pokémon in the games, and weren't introduced in the anime until their movies came out. So they never were able to make it into their pokeraps for those generations

@@austinreed7343 The Kanto Pokérap is the oldest brother that owns a successful company and has his slip-ups (like showing a pic of Poliwag on Poliwrath's part or Geodude on Graveler's part), but generally no one seems to mind, and everyone loves spending any amount of time they can with him.
The Johto Pokérap is the middle son, but he's gotten used to being ignored and just vibes. Sometimes he'll even throw a few too many house parties, though nothing noticably bad happens during them, so he's never gotten in trouble for it.

I, personally, think this rap is really awesome. I love all of them equally. I think it's just the imperfection-- the awkward beat, the mispronunciation of the names-- make this rap laughably nice; cool in its own right.

I'm not going to claim I'm an expert when it comes to producing songs, but I do know most songs are composed of seperate recordings. And considering this is a text with unusual words (i.e. the pokemon names) it's not surprising that they did.
I expect they didn't have enough time and/or money to make this sound 'good'.

I had to suffer through listening closely for mispronunciations of my favorite franchise of creatures. Thank Shuckle the Anime is now dubbed by the Pokémon Company instead of 4Kids. Now, there’s close to no mispronunciations, with pretty much the only ones being old official ones that were changed. (For example, Arceus was originally pronounced AR-see-us, but they changed it to AR-kee-us because the original version sounded like a naughty British word. Oops.)
