I have Rochelle and love her, but I find she is too long to wear in my convertible with the top down. She gets all tangled. So I need to go shorter. I cannot decide "which" shorter one to pick. I don't really want the super short first wig that was on Norma. Any Suggestions? does anyone else have a convertible and what wig do you have? P.S. I m also a size large wig.
Yes, Kristine, Rochelle here and I do understand. Here's some options when I'm in my convertible; I tie a scarf over my longer wigs like Rochelle until I get where I'm going. If it's a lot longer, I braid the hair and put a scarf over it (even tuck the longer hair under my shirt or clip it all up with a scarf. I wear my "Freedom" wig in my convertible since its a free-moving, messy looking wig anywhere. Freedom does come in large! Hi Rochelle, I watch often and always looking for a wig the,1 comes in my size,( petite) which you have so few, and 2, a grey with not such a silver one color front! I would think you could do a few with a “darker” , maybe salt and pepper front to match the rest of the wig. I don’t know about others, but, those silver white fronts look so unnatural, even on you and you are a beautiful woman! It seems you only do the extremely short pixie wigs in the petite wigs and I just hate them! If you ever decide to do some more in better greys and lengths, I’ll be the first to invest in a few! Tfs. Norma looked lovely in several of the wigs. Freedom looked great on her!

I have a x-large head. I tried on a wig once but was discouraged by the fit. I have a short forehead and a widow's peak that is hard to hide. When I adjusted the wig to hide it, I looked like I was wearing a helmet. Do you have any advice for me? I am really in need of one now.
Dear caninecodependent, Rochelle here. Great questions and I'll try to answer the best I can. A large wig can be altered and made even larger. Just the facts; for a shorter forehead and widow's peak that it sounds like you want to hide, I would choose a wig with bangs. If it doesn't have some, I'd have them trimmed. I know many clients that only wear wigs with bangs can wear the wig a little further back for the illusion of a little larger forehead. I would have our metal clips sewn at the hairline of the wig - just 1 on each side - this will keep your wig feeling and being secure- very important! Dear June, thanks for asking. Here's a couple ideas for you: 1. When my hair is thick and curly, I dampen it before putting the wig on. A little damp is fine with the open wefts of our wigs. It will 'thin' out the hair. 2. Consider trying a large size wig. It would give you more room all the way around... Hope these help! If you can fit in a standard hat in a dept store or Walmart (not a knit cap) then you should be fine in a standard /average size wig. We do offer returns. I thought that the first wig was Norma's hair! P.S. Norma doesn't look as though her head is large. Does she need a larger wig because she has so much hair to tuck?
Norma measures for a large wig. It's not always easy to tell visually - the best and fastest way is to try a ready to wear hat on in a dept store. If it's too tight over your head/hair, you need a large wig.
I got Rochelle in Large in Silver Stone. I have thinned it and thinned it and I am just not comfortable wearing it. Is there a way to cut a long wig to make a fall? It matches my hair perfectly and I would love a fall.
Hi DeLoris, Ro here. Glad you wrote in. I have to ask since we haven't met, did you use thinning shears and get right in close to the "scalp" of the wig? It should thin out easily...maybe a hair dresser could have another try? Our wigs can be turned into custom Top Pieces for the crown area. I think the video is called "How to turn a wig into a custom Top Piece Godivas Secret Wigs." The rest of the wig can then have clips put into it and worn UNDER your own hair - but to be clear - there will be no fullness at the crown and your hair has to be able to cover the bottom half of the wig. @@GodivasSecretWigs Yes, I thinned it like in your video. I am interested in knowing how to cut off the front of the wig to make a fall and wear a headband. Then all you would see it the back of the wig. I will take it to my hair dresser and maybe she can help me. Rochelle is my favorite wig, but it just has sooo much hair. Rochelle, I'm butting in here, hearing aids, in my opinion, should be worn proudly. "they make me look old." I work with seniors and I hear that all the time, what makes someone look old is the leaning in and mouthing the words being spoken to them. I wear them and would wear colors to show them off if colors were available. Most of my senior have a dementia, one of the causes is hearing loss, Isolation, even in a group, everyone is around you chatting and I have no idea what's being talked about. Someone tells me in a soft voice, something on the hush hush, I miss it! I could say, "hey, I haven't seen Mr. Whosie for weeks, He died!" it is a dilemma and one that is happening to people at a young age, we live in a loud world. OK, sorry carry on with your lovely big head model. I have a big head, I'm finally going to buy a wig today! Thank you so much for what you and Dani do. 😀

Hi Rochelle, I watch often and always looking for a wig the,1 comes in my size,( petite) which you have so few, and 2, a grey with not such a silver one color front! I would think you could do a few with a “darker” , maybe salt and pepper front to match the rest of the wig. I don’t know about others, but, those silver white fronts look so unnatural, even on you and you are a beautiful woman! It seems you only do the extremely short pixie wigs in the petite wigs and I just hate them! If you ever decide to do some more in better greys and lengths, I’ll be the first to invest in a few! Tfs. Norma looked lovely in several of the wigs. Freedom looked great on her!

I have a x-large head. I tried on a wig once but was discouraged by the fit. I have a short forehead and a widow's peak that is hard to hide. When I adjusted the wig to hide it, I looked like I was wearing a helmet. Do you have any advice for me? I am really in need of one now.

Just the facts; for a shorter forehead and widow's peak that it sounds like you want to hide, I would choose a wig with bangs. If it doesn't have some, I'd have them trimmed. I know many clients that only wear wigs with bangs can wear the wig a little further back for the illusion of a little larger forehead. I would have our metal clips sewn at the hairline of the wig - just 1 on each side - this will keep your wig feeling and being secure- very important! The bangs don't have to be thick, just enough to soften your forehead and look soft and pretty.

As a black woman, I have thick, kinky hair roots, so a wig does not fit my head flatly and snug and securely??? Wish I knew what to do😞
Dear June, thanks for asking. Here's a couple ideas for you:
1. When my hair is thick and curly, I dampen it before putting the wig on. A little damp is fine with the open wefts of our wigs. It will 'thin' out the hair.
2. Consider trying a large size wig. It would give you more room all the way around... Hope these help!

Hi Margo, circumference and head shape are 2 different things. I just can't say and guarantee without seeing you in person. If you can fit in a standard hat in a dept store or Walmart (not a knit cap) then you should be fine in a standard /average size wig. We do offer returns. I thought that the first wig was Norma's hair! P.S. Norma doesn't look as though her head is large. Does she need a larger wig because she has so much hair to tuck?
Norma measures for a large wig. It's not always easy to tell visually - the best and fastest way is to try a ready to wear hat on in a dept store. If it's too tight over your head/hair, you need a large wig.
I got Rochelle in Large in Silver Stone. I have thinned it and thinned it and I am just not comfortable wearing it. Is there a way to cut a long wig to make a fall? It matches my hair perfectly and I would love a fall.
Hi DeLoris, Ro here. Glad you wrote in. I have to ask since we haven't met, did you use thinning shears and get right in close to the "scalp" of the wig? It should thin out easily...maybe a hair dresser could have another try?
Our wigs can be turned into custom Top Pieces for the crown area. I think the video is called "How to turn a wig into a custom Top Piece Godivas Secret Wigs." The rest of the wig can then have clips put into it and worn UNDER your own hair - but to be clear - there will be no fullness at the crown and your hair has to be able to cover the bottom half of the wig. @@GodivasSecretWigs Yes, I thinned it like in your video. I am interested in knowing how to cut off the front of the wig to make a fall and wear a headband. Then all you would see it the back of the wig. I will take it to my hair dresser and maybe she can help me. Rochelle is my favorite wig, but it just has sooo much hair. Rochelle, I'm butting in here, hearing aids, in my opinion, should be worn proudly. "they make me look old." I work with seniors and I hear that all the time, what makes someone look old is the leaning in and mouthing the words being spoken to them. I wear them and would wear colors to show them off if colors were available. Most of my senior have a dementia, one of the causes is hearing loss, Isolation, even in a group, everyone is around you chatting and I have no idea what's being talked about. Someone tells me in a soft voice, something on the hush hush, I miss it! I could say, "hey, I haven't seen Mr. Whosie for weeks, He died!" it is a dilemma and one that is happening to people at a young age, we live in a loud world. OK, sorry carry on with your lovely big head model. I have a big head, I'm finally going to buy a wig today! Thank you so much for what you and Dani do. 😀

I stopped trying. I get helmet head. They never look natural on me. I guess I will have to be bald
Hi Janice, well, you'd be one of the first who a wig didn't work for. Helmet head is normally what happens to our own hair when we take the wig off at the end of the day - then it doesn't matter. Thanks for watching! Ro
