Having owned many FastBacks, NotchBacks and Variants, I think I can qualify to say you made a very good looking and clean car... well done.
The Type3 Fastback is my dream car and you guys have built a gorgeous one! Saved this video to my favorites ;-)
My first car was a type 3. Beautiful restoration!! I like the car, the music, and the memory. Thank you.
Wow what a beautiful old car.
Such a well kept beauty! One can feel the love you have for your car… congrats! 👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Stunning TL. Had one in the 1970s. A 6 volt gem my folks had shipped to California after using it on a trip to Germany in 1968. Had speedo in Km.
Great car . Dual carbs. And I had that car running in top condition. I remember a tool I used to equalize the air intake on the carbs. It was called a Unisyn
SO BADASS!!!! I LOVE EVERYTHING!!!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!! KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK!!!
Awesome interior!
AWESOME COLOR! Sweetness!
Beautiful car!
Love these cars.
very nice!
That ride is ICE!
Had a 66 rare sunroof model back in 1980...rebuilt the engine with dual webers etc and some kid wanted it and offered more than what it was worth so I sold it. 2 weeks later he totaled it :(
Gotta be close to $100k in that bad boy. 🤘🏼Dope ride.
A+++ So Very Clean
very nice!!! i love !! VW variant!
Isn't the Variant the Squareback stationwagon (called the Brazillia in Brazil as well)? This is the Fastback.. which is a little different. Sorry to nitpick.
magnifique 🌐
Real Dope!!
Nice work, we had a black one when I was a kid, not as glamorous as that
VERY WELL DONE NICE COLOR IN AND OUT AND THE WHEELS ALSO I WOULD LOVE TO FIND ONE I HAVE OWNED 5 OLD BUGS AND LOVED THEM ALL JUST AS MUCH AS MY 2004 R32 ENJOY .
Glenn Walker No need to shout..
Have you found out the wheel spec? Im currently restoring a notchback and love them
That Joe Alber is sweet!!!
I love this fasty and would love to get tmi interior for my vw but they have never bothered to reply to my email enquiry.

Hola yo tengo un gasto back 70 rojo y tu auto es mi inspiración le voy a cambiar unos aros así como los tuyos
Lindo TL fantástico carro
De donde eres amigo
I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get these wheels. I can not find 4x130 pattern 17 inch by 7 or 8 wheels.
I'm having trouble finding floor pans for my 69 Fastback any tips or pointers where I can find some thank YOU
CIP1
Does anyone know the set up on the tire size on this carv
NEAT
where was the tapestry made?
How do I get an internship with you learning about restoring these? I just bought a 73 shell, and am ready to start restoring it, i just need someone to guide me.
this was a personal build
Muito lindo esse carro !! Parece com a TL do Brasil .... Só que melhor !
Esse é o tipo de carro que *_não_* é vendido no Brasil...😆😭
Clean build. Where did u get some of the parts for the build
some parts came from CIP1, JBugs and most of the hard to find were from ISP West
Sweet Ride , finally this one aint Ricer its acsually dope
How much for somethin like this?
I want one
I drove a 1967 before they were cool, in 1977,
I dont remember this car at all. Did we get them in uk?
I don’t know. We in the U.S certainly didn’t get the Notchbacks (and any Notchback in the U.S. were grey market).
My first car = VW Type 3 Fastback (1600E)
Psyick car and music track !!!!!
What size rims
17X8 with 205 and 215 40 series tires
I'm looking for a 1968 squareback type 3 if anybody knows one for sale I'm looking I'm not found one yet
You checked samba?
Wish I knew what it sounds like…
is there a motor in that ? it's top secret I bet 🤔
what powers this car?
VW flat four very similar to a beetle engine... air cooled its in the back under the rear hatch. 50Hp more or less depending on the model... not great at climbing hills with a full load (I always thought they were kinda funny... wen I saw them in Brazil they were quite often fully loaded climbing hills!)
Not much...
@@Wingnut353
Chase, I imagined that it had been repowered because the original 1500/1600 had a poor reputation for life span because of inadequate cooling.
OMG😍 ....fuck i love it
I'd prefer to have heard the motor.
its not much, stock 1600 for now with a Magnaflow muffler
Yelawolf!!!
nonil15
I know
In Brazil, there is no such wonder.
The music is painful, too loud and repetative
Lovely car. Shitty music.
Totally agree. I think many would much rather hear the classic purr of the engine as opposed to the sound of the monotonous music. VWs engines, back then, were as singular and identifiable as Harley-Davidson motorcycles'.
PLEASE
all that space it waisted on a rear seat if I had it, it would be an engine bay
Mitika
Video spoilt by over-the-top editing. Didnt even show the engine.
FreemelonsforVWlovers!....
Long ago I knew a joke , what I forgot : how is it , does anybody know it ? : The traffic warden stops the owner of a VW 1600 TL , and forces him to open up the cover of the Boot ( he is looking for something ) , but it turns out him , that the car doesn't have an engine , because he finds boots in te front and back...
How was the joke ? i'm a joke collector from Hungary . Thank you... 🙂Ich spreche , übrigens Deutsch , aber nicht alle . Wie andere Leute von der ganzen Welt...
this is my car and its up for sale
How much???
that's beautiful, thank god it doesn't look like a neglected rusty pile of crap under the guise of "patina" patina and donk culture needs to end,its fucking horrid
To me, lowering the suspension is an absurd and sacrilegious fashion statement - a catwalk for classic cars. Lowered suspension is highly impractical, since going over speed bumps will damage the underside of the car each time. It's ridiculous to spoil an otherwise superb classic in this way. My dad had one of these, so I feel a degree of nostalgia and (strangely) pride in seeing a beautifully maintained example.
car rides as well as stock and doesnt have any clearance issues.
I lowered my Fastback in the front.
Just looks GOOFY stock & doesn’t handle as good.
Useless modification?
You sound crazed💡
@@og-greenmachine8623 Well, I'm a purist when it comes to classic cars. To me, anything which alters the original appearance is a complete and utter turn-off. In what way is that 'crazed? I would argue that anyone who DEMANDS that the original car be changed to suit the whims of fashion of a bunch of overgrown schoolboys is crazed.

With increase horsepower, it’s safer to drive in modern traffic.
Lowering the nose, lessens understeer. It has Porsche like lines.
Seems crazy to imagine a Porsche design with a lifted look in the front end🤔
And this adjustment can be made easily. Which leads me to believe there is no “set” ride height for the front end.
It’s adjustable 💡
A bit repetative with no good views of the rear.
car looks cool until u see the inside
....over restored. .....why didn't you just buy a new car?
Because VW doesn’t make Type IIIs anymore.
