Reminder that the actor who plays Kate's dad played Shrek in Shrek: The Musical.
Like most of us, you didn’t catch that the dad had said, “I’m going down to the basement for work.” Then when mom is with Kate, “I’m going downstairs I’ll be right back.” Kate freaked about her dad and mom didn’t seem to care at all. Plus the $$ troubles all seemed to disappear real quick.
I loved the world building for these shows.

Okay talking about Kingpin, my theory is that when Clint was Ronin, he took out the previous head of organized crime and then Kingpin became the new head of organized crime after esp in the gap now that Clint stopped being Ronin. Somehow that is going to be related to Eleanor and that crime family, specifcally when that old guy threatened her, he said he had higher up friends!
The location where the party is taking place is the same hotel that Kingpin was at in season 3 of Daredevil.... possibly he is the true one behind the tracksuit mafia? Would be awesome if so!!!

We saw Stark with a watch early in the Iron man films... but he replaced them with watches he build that houses parts of his suit or just an energy canon.
My guess is it was Bruce's watch. Maybe he would take his watch off before transforming then left it there.

Actually, I don’t want to correct you, but the director said that the show takes place 2 years after Endgame meaning that it takes place in winter 2025 possibly?
I think one of the producers suggested it takes place about two years later. But set photos say Christmas 2024, and Hector said he asked one of the producers straight up during the interview & she said it was 2024.
Hailee Steinfeld doesn't look exactly like in Bumblebee, a three year old movie... She looks exactly like in True Grit, a twelve year old movie...

Living in NYC, I really appreciate how accurate it feels. They clearly filmed it all, or most of it, here. I also love how they used Pat Kiernan from NY1 as the news anchor.
they also used him for the spiderman identity reveal news segment too which is really cool

I'm pretty sure "the Watch" is Tony's watch from Civil War, and I bet this show is going to setup Armor Wars. With Tony out of the picture, there's no one around to safeguard Avengers/alienwares--I was always under the impression that Stark took care of all that (Adrian Toomes really didn't care for the way Tony and the government shut him down). I figure Justin Hammer and whoever else they want to introduce are probably all coming out of the woodwork now to get their hands on Stark Tech to kickstart their own endeavors now, and Rhodey is going to have to clean this up in his show.
Yeah, its probably Tony's watch from Civil War (the bulletproof gauntlet thing with the sonic blast function he used on BUcky that one time)

As a fan of Matt Fraction's run it's hilarious how Clint and Kate's roles are reversed in the show. In the comic, Kate's the savant heiress with her shit together and Clint's her human garbage-fire mentor who she constantly has to save (not that comic Clint's incompetent, just that he's Matt Murdock levels of self-destructive)

The first two MCU Heroes Reforged reactions are always a wee bit rough since Hector's already seen them & tends to talk over scenes about "I asked the director this" or "in the comics that" rather than let Agustin & Adam just soak in what's being said (although they don't seem to mind & the reaction overall isn't tarnished). but episode 3 onwards is always good cause then Hector too is just in it, watching & listening since he doesn't know what's coming

This version of the Tracksuit Mafia actually appears to be Polish, not Russian! They even swear in Polish in this episode, and their leader (played by Polish actor Piotr Adamczyk) sings a Polish christmas carol when he's guarding the van :D

I don’t think they were specifically identified as Russian in the comics, just vaguely (almost stereotypically) eastern-European.

I LOVE that they are bringing Swordsman into the light, he is a very obscure villain and I can't wait to see if he is actually tied to Clint in the MCU or if he is separate from him but has a well fleshed out backstory like he is a conman or something
I was watching this with my friends and he showed up and that moustache, idk why but I recognized him on the spot and I screamed so loud lol. And then the episode was over I went to the internet and I realized no one knew he was Clint's mentor and I was just "ooooh..."
Christmas in New York: one of life’s great joys
I really dig the way they revisit famous MCU events through different eyes. I also appreciate how they emphasized how geographically correct it is. Not many movies, to my knowledge, are based here in Montreal. Although, I have recognized it in other non-MCU marvel movies. In Punisher:War Zone the subway platform he passes through on the way to his hideout, is Lionel-Groulx metro station. Also, when he's watching the daughter of the undercover FBI agent he'd killed, she's in the front yard of F.A.C.E. elementary school, where id gone for grade 3. Altogether, loved the first two episodes. Another awesome reaction, gents !
The battle of New York is definitely an absolute point in time. No other way. I really like this show. I always liked Clint and him and Kate together is so great.
I love how no matter how rich you are, you still have that same shitty version of checkers at home.
I wish you guys would react more to the episode instead of talk about other facts about the comics.. 😅

Not that it is really plot breaking, but an arrow, even with that much mass attached to the tip, doesn't have enough mass to move a bell that much. At least in our world. Love this show so far.

The retractable sword is the only thing that bothered me in this series, same as Razorfist’s blade in Shang Chi. I know people say, “wull in a world wit tony’s nanobots and hank pym, you shouldn’t question these things,”… but Clint Barton and random goon guy aren’t Tony or Hank. Do you think Tony would have made a collapsible sword so Clint could murder people? Would Clint have carried it around in a scabbard on his back everywhere if he could have just hung it on his belt? It makes no sense, and is stupid.
Razor Fist's blade makes more sense than Clint's, because he could access the resources of a mystical thousand-year old crime boss. Clint just had his own stuff
He gave Spider-Man a Kill Mode. He wouldn't blink at a retractable sword.

It's a cool concept and the equivalent in real life is a double action OTF knife but that's limited by the length of the blade handle.
I think this retractable feature was only shown off in this episode in order for it to be used as a means for a "surprise" kill later on in the episode.

Maybe I'm looking way too deep but is the cemetery (04:17) seem eerily familiar to the cemetery at the end of Sami Raimi's first Spider-Man film? Maybe it's just the fall/winter look of the barren trees but it feels like a call back on the part of Kevin Feige.

Weakest start for a Dinsey+ Marvel property. Im sure as a whole it will be a fun family ride, but its a tad campy Home Alone and not in the good ways.
The acting was so bad the first five minutes, I almost turned it off. Glad I didn’t, turned out to be a good setup. Hopefully it finds its stride. Jeremey and Haliee are so good. Rest of the cast just isn’t on their level.

The thing that bugs me about the "regular" people in the MCU is that they treat the Avengers like a happy, go-lucky, group of celebrities. They're sensationalizing Rogers with his own musical and don't seem to take his and his team's sacrifices seriously. Even though they appreciate what the Avengers have done, they're just not respecting the heroes the way they should be respected. It's a great aspect of the MCU that bugs me, but is totally realistic.
i loved the Vide they are getting across i remember reading the comic run after a rapper names Adam WarRock made a Clint song.
