The way Lacey KNEW that she was being stalked, she told us to not force her to go outside. And the way she knew that he would kill her. Lacey deserves better.
It’s actually kinda funny though, from our perspective, 3 minutes is just a gameplay timer but from her point of view, her customers literally get up and leave her restaurant without paying if they don’t get their full cooked dinner within 3 minutes. I work at a restaurant so it’s funny in a fucked up way.

Alright, I'm gonna try and explain the Lacey's Diner video the best I can; not the one where she's being stalked, bc idk how the two relate bc she dies in both of them. We have details about what happened to Lacey, but not really enough to put together a comprehensive timeline. From what we've seen (mostly according to the fucked up ingredients and the pictures with them), she had a bad childhood. There are no mentions of her parents, and many people theorize that they were either neglectful, abusive, or both. Someone in her family was addicted to meth; be it one or both of her parents, or her uncle. Speaking of that dickwad, her uncle was the man shown as an ingredient. He frequently sexually abused and raped Lacey from a very young age. He also physically abused her, including beating her and burning her with cigarettes. As far as we know, nobody came to save her. Either she saved herself, or she's still in that situation. For a while, her diner is the only place where she feels safe and happy. That is, until she begins throwing herself fully into her work to escape her trauma and the horrors she's faced/is facing. It is the only thing keeping her from leaving this world permanently. She works herself to the bone, and grows enraged when she sees just how rude and impatient customers can be. Eventually, she snaps. Im not that old, but seeing that last one and just seeing that one line “this is all I have” It just striked something in me. May 10th was my birthday, and during the celebration, I wasn’t happy anymore. I was scared, I realized that I was getting older, I hate change and I hate growing older. But then I turn towards my art, and instead look ahead for possible careers I could have doing something I love. It’s a way to escape the changes that might be happening as I get older And yet, I see someone being better at it, or people getting impatient, judging it, or in this case people being unsatisfied with what I make. It makes me furious, it makes me angry, and I can’t help but want to yell at them for judging it harshly (not even nicely but plain rudely) when they don’t know the process I go through to make something I actually like. This is all I have, and I’m not sure how closely I can compare it to Lacey’s Diner, but just seeing her angry and furious when customers can’t wait a little while for food, is like people rushing me to make something that looks like a masterpiece in their eyes. Seeing the establishment close is almost the equivalent of me being scared that no one will find what I make good enough anymore, or that they will find something or someone else to pay attention to. I know that it might be selfish, but sometimes I feel like this is all I have. I just felt like venting a bit
It’s not selfish to feel this way. It’s honestly understandable. Art is a hard process and it can be overwhelming, and when ignorant people don’t appreciate it it really hurts. But your style is yours for a reason. I hope there will be people who will appreciate the beauty in your art! Because you aren’t replaceable
