I one hundred percent agree that family is not always blood, John. Im an only child and my wife is an only child. All our lives, we've had to go out and find our brothers and sisters in the people we met. And our friends are as much family as if we were related. My wife and I also found each other from two different sides of the globe, and I'm thankful for her every single day.

Suxh a heavy but heartwarming video, rip chris 🙏🏻 and condolences to lauren and the family. Collecting funko has been such a huge outlet in my personal life. It has lead me to travel the US and also discover amazing funko creators and slapshotpops has been a very special one. Although i dont now anybody personally from the channel or this community, I do feel part of a big family of people who are connected because of this collecting hobby. Since following the channel, ive gotten to know john and johanna little by little and have had the pleasure of seeing how big and good their hearts are. Wow, this hit close to home and I do understand what you mean. Starting to collect with Grayson and share that helps both of us and I know finding a community that is also doing this that interacts with each other and supports one another was something I did not know about when we started. I don't think I had any interactions with Chris but for sure exactly the kind of thing I would expect from some great people we have met through all this. I am sorry to hear about his passing. having these little collectibles is awesome but some of them that have a story behind them makes them way more valuable than the PPG value. I'm watching from Ireland and I've been watching the two of you for years and you never fail to bring a smile to my face with every video!! You are one of the reasons I started forgetting what people's opinions of me, in my late twenties, collecting 'toys' might be and just started doing it because it MAKES ME DAMN HAPPY and I love every minute of it! My collection is now over 300 strong and while I've had to slow down because I've gone back to college I'm only counting the days till I can start the hunt again!! My parents and my wife’s parents did not want us to get married. Relationship has suffered since. My wife is the best choice I have ever made!! She is my best friend and been there every step of the way. The last 10 years have been extremely tuff on me…6 surgeries and mental health challenges. Dana was always there for me. John , God blessed me with two great daughters. I had to go through IVF treatments to get pregnant. God was faithful and gave me the privilege and honor to become a mom. I have a tender heart for them. I would give my life for them if I had to. What makes them happy, makes me happy. For me to be a mom is so, so special. So that is why my children will always be first. I would take you under my wings with no hesitation. You have a big heart. You are a wonderful person. much respects to you bro that was touching I had to tell my story. GOD BLESS to you and your wife and everyone else in the funko world. My dad just passed away last April 2023. I am the only child from his side and he lost his legs after i was born.. I have never had contact with my mother since I was 2yrs old, I am now 49 years old and I have started collecting comics because I like the hobby and the community. And now I can have something I can bond with as a child and as a friend to other who collect comics. I may not be big like a lot of them on UA-cam but I only started a year & a half ago.
John your video at the end brought forth a flood of emotions for me. I went through similar situations with my family and had to make the toughest decisions of my life. It has been 37 years and my family still will not acknowledge me. I have reached out every year to try to fix things but every year I get no response. I pray that your family does not shut you out forever and realize soon what they are missing. Outside of my wife and kids this community is also my family and I thank God that they have accepted me. This group is an amazing group of people and I want them to know they mean the world to me.

I had faced the betrayal of my family when my wife was dying and after she passed! They not only stole our retirement savings, but they robbed our storage space and took all my Funko Pops along with other items and sold them! Kudos to you on your Monday motivation. It has lead me to travel the US and also discover amazing funko creators and slapshotpops has been a very special one. Wow, this hit close to home and I do understand what you mean. Starting to collect with Grayson and share that helps both of us and I know finding a community that is also doing this that interacts with each other and supports one another was something I did not know about when we started. I don't think I had any interactions with Chris but for sure exactly the kind of thing I would expect from some great people we have met through all this. I am sorry to hear about his passing. having these little collectibles is awesome but some of them that have a story behind them makes them way more valuable than the PPG value. I'm watching from Ireland and I've been watching the two of you for years and you never fail to bring a smile to my face with every video!! My parents and my wife’s parents did not want us to get married. Relationship has suffered since. My wife is the best choice I have ever made!! She is my best friend and been there every step of the way. The last 10 years have been extremely tuff on me…6 surgeries and mental health challenges. Dana was always there for me. Love her soooo much. Thanks for all the great content and fun!

John , God blessed me with two great daughters. I had to go through IVF treatments to get pregnant. God was faithful and gave me the privilege and honor to become a mom. I have a tender heart for them. I would give my life for them if I had to. What makes them happy, makes me happy. For me to be a mom is so, so special. So that is why my children will always be first. I would take you under my wings with no hesitation. You have a big heart. You are a wonderful person. much respects to you bro that was touching I had to tell my story. GOD BLESS to you and your wife and everyone else in the funko world. My dad just passed away last April 2023. I am the only child from his side and he lost his legs after i was born.. I have never had contact with my mother since I was 2yrs old, I am now 49 years old and I have started collecting comics because I like the hobby and the community. And now I can have something I can bond with as a child and as a friend to other who collect comics. I may not be big like a lot of them on UA-cam but I only started a year & a half ago.
John your video at the end brought forth a flood of emotions for me. I went through similar situations with my family and had to make the toughest decisions of my life. It has been 37 years and my family still will not acknowledge me. I have reached out every year to try to fix things but every year I get no response. I pray that your family does not shut you out forever and realize soon what they are missing. Outside of my wife and kids this community is also my family and I thank God that they have accepted me. This group is an amazing group of people and I want them to know they mean the world to me.

It is also sad that your family had not accepted Joana. I had faced the betrayal of my family when my wife was dying and after she passed!
They not only stole our retirement savings, but they robbed our storage space and took all my Funko Pops along with other items and sold them!
