As someone who's been to multiple movie theaters you always want to sneak food in. Since I'm a sibling of a large family I hide food and blankets in my backpack because food there is too expensive and awful. Only movie theater I've been to that has decent food is a acm theater if I'm correct.
I always slip in a whole meal of McDonalds or Jack-In-Box in my purse. Carrying a big one so I can be able to feed my friend and myself during our time in the movies. Tastes better than the theater's expensive food court, that's for sure.
I kinda miss the times when people actually go to the movie theater at night to watch movies rather than in the Day time, because chances are you'll probably see at least a family of 5 with 6 other kids throwing crying and spoil the movie.
I prefer going in the day because the ticket price is always 30% off. The ticket for an evening movie is always so pricey unfortunately :( but yeah, I miss going at night. The last time I saw a movie in the evening was either Maze Runner or Furious 7.
That’s probably why my uncle is telling me it’s better to watch movies at night. It’s also better to watch a matinee in the morning during the weekends if you’re taking a vacation.

There's actually a mall about an hour away from where I live that has a pretty good theater! You can bring a blanket, the seats are recliners, and there's the, more expensive, option of D-box seats, which move and vibrate along with the movie, so it's a fun experience for any action movies. They have a nice selection of snacks as well that isn't just popcorn and candy.
I tried D-Box at some movie theaters for Last Jedi, Detective Pikachu, Terminator, Godzilla Vs. Kong, Snake Eyes, Shang Chi, and Eternals, it was honestly amazing but Godzilla Vs. Kong and Eternals was hella intense that way. 4DX is also better(The Suicide Squad, Multiverse Of Madness, Jurassic World, Love & Thunder, and Dungeons & Dragons was intense af ngl).

Movie theater worker here. I’ve only been working at my location for a year now, but it doesn’t take years of experience to know why people just aren’t coming in to theaters anymore. It’s just so much easier to stream stuff at home, and much cheaper considering how much tickets and snacks are skyrocketing in price. I’m giving theaters 10 years max until they die out, and even that’s being generous.
My jaw almost dropped. 😅in Canada the small soda is 2$ and large 5$ we have Heather and small theater so it's more calm and the food ain't that expensive in the cinema's.
I can relate somewhat. I went to see Incredibles 2 with my grandpa and grandma and I was in the corner and had to awkwardly look up to the right in order to watch the movie. I almost went blind and I almost broke my neck.

One time i paid for me and my 6 friends to go see Avatar 2. We got 7 large sodas and 3 extra large popcorns. We got dippin dots. THE DIPPIN DOTS WERE 5 DOLLARS EACH. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!! The total of going to the movies costed me $150. It’s cool though, i still got $995 left.
One big thing that I really hate nowadays when visiting the theaters is that it seems that every movie theater that I go to does not have a self-serve butter dispenser, and when they do have them, 10 out of 10 times they are turned off. It's really disappointing because I am obsessed with butter on my popcorn (like I would drench my popcorn with it if given the chance), so now that all the dispensers are gone, I can't make myself the popcorn bucket of my dreams.

As someone whose worked at one before, during and after the pandemic and recently quitting the job, I get it. Trust me I get it. Good ass video, they do charge too much. The reason why I still like movie theaters are because of those special movies that get the audience hype, like Spider-Man No Way home or more recently The Mario Movie, it’s just nice being in a theater and respectfully cheering for hype moments. It’s a good feeling
Many people still come into mine but we still get complaints of kids ruining the experience and also kids running around the lobby at the entrance at like 11PM when I’m trying to close the place
When I go to the movies I always have a plan. I keep my spending to the minimum because I have to stretch cash. I barely go because it's a dropkick to my wallet.
Yeah I have my own movie theater room at my house with surround sound, and movies come to streaming in like 3 months after theaters I think I can wait 3 months plenty to watch till then.
I think I brought home bed bugs one time. That alone was enough to make me never want to go back to a public movie theater. It cost over $1000 to get a heat treatment and it didn't even work
Tbh the last movie I saw in the theaters was The Batman. I still do enjoy going to the movies but it’s only something I go to if my friends are also available and have the extra funds, other than that I’m mostly about the streaming life
Tyyyyy a fellow hipster who doesn’t just eat up whatever twitter is nutting over this week (also havent seen attack on titan, Wednesday, i feel like im not alone)
went to see It chapter 2 and the theatre was half empty, and this group of teenage black girls walked in halfway through the movie and was yelling/cackling like they were in the back of 'da club'. and i yell out "SHUTUP!" then they all jump up turn around and start yelling even louder, then another couple leaves, and another couple complains to management and they were promptly kicked out ... all the while, talking sht as they left X,D Everyone else was clapping and one of them even thanked me for getting the ball rollin' lol bruh the theatres change but they never do X,D crowd was ready to go all Scary Movie on them
my local cinema is pretty chill even though its a medium size one (4 rooms). But its always very chill and quiet since often you'll be only like 10-30 people (full rooms maybe if new marvel is opening). Lol for some movies, like horrors, I was watching alone in a room haha, for 7€ a movie a private room, amazing. I still love it.
I watched Creed 3 like 7 times lmao. Honestly I go to the theater to pass the time and because I genuinely love it. I don’t go when a movie releases or during the evenings. Best times to go is during the school week in the morning or as early as they open so nobody loud shows up. If it’s a superhero movie I wait a few weeks after it comes out cause the cheering fans are fucking annoying
Your not wrong about the price going up and I use to work as a cashier in the movie theater and I was baffled by the price but we get like 10 or 20 percent off
No bc ur so right about the crazy pricing of food and drinks. Went to see the Titanic at the theatre with my auntie for its 20th year anniversary, and she got 2 medium chips, we brought our drinks in. Ended up costing us about $35. $35!!!! Wtf
Honestly the rise of every other major company (looking at you Paramount) trying to bank on the success services like Netflix n Hulu is probably like one of the reasons why movie theatres aren't fun anymore. Like yeah it's cool, especially for homebound/disabled people but i feel like it also contributed negatively to how media is consumed.
Fr though, when I went to see the Mario movie on the release date, I rarely saw anybody??? It was only a family of like... 5, 3 teenagers, and me and my sibilings. I was sort of glad, and disappointed that not many people came😢
For now as of this comment it’s currently looking like my group will have an entire room to ourselves, especially since some days have passed since release😅 I kinda hope it stays that way for us
I still go because the one I live nearby is empty as fuck sometimes and even better I get to vape my thc cart/pod or disposable while sneaking in a footlong subway sandwich sitting in the far back like a king lol
one of the reasons I subscribe to you is because I want to try to see if it'd be a nice place to move to Birmingham Alabama I currently live in Farmington Missouri
I'm sorry for your horrible experience at the movie theater. My experience was the other way around when I went to Europe, the kids were polite and no one used their phones to text or call throughout the film
When i was a kid we would literally go to the movies just to hang out with our friends and talk to girls somtimes we spent the whole time in the arcade or food court and only watched the movies that had major hype behind.
I miss when the expensive $5 cup was actually reusable and had cool holographic art on it. Had a Star War Episode 3 holographic cup I got from the theaters with a Darth Vader lid, least it made spending damn near $7 seem somewhat better lol
The movie theater is my favorite place to go. I go basically every week and I always try to go when they do sales. One theater near me offers all standard movie tickets for $4.75 on every Tuesday.
When I went to see Super Mario Bros a few weeks back I decided to get a bottle water. And they was charging $6.25 for water! Yeah Dasani water. Yeah I went to see Evil Dead Rise last weekend I snuck my own drink that time.
As a Gen Z member I got to the cinema quite often I guess I'm apart of the majority but I enjoy seeing movies on a bigger screen I just got a really good deal on my cinema membership so I get to watch films for free basically and I just bring my own snacks and drinks.
I miss the midnight premiere era were you and your friends/family would stay up and enjoy the experience along with the crowd you would leave the theater feeling happy satisfied like u just experienced an epic magical thing 😩
When Air Conditioners were being invented they were first installed in movie theaters so they could show movies in summer. Imagine not being able to watch movies for half the year. Also drive-in theaters are a vibe. Just be careful about your car's battery.
I almost never have what you might consider a nightmare but when I do I have to go to the bathroom and it's a public bathroom and it is beyond disgusting
This was extremely incredible amazing job with the video I just Fucking love it keep doing of what your doing and keep on making great content.👍❤️❤️❤️👍
@@yvngmaali444 Yeah. It kind depends what you wanna do. Theaters is for the experience. At home is for the movie itself. And I guess if you want to eat a steak with your movie.
Movie theaters being a dying institution has become less and less of an issue to me as my own memories of them aren't all that great; I just saw kiddie movies. I resort to streaming now and even then am way more focused on TV series than movies
when i go to Regal i will bring an empty water bottle with me because the drinks are close to the movie rooms and get a free slushie but i will just pay for a snack
The biggest thing that ruined going to the movies for me is how they make you pick your seat when you’re buying the ticket now (at least at AMC’s in NJ). It should of stayed first come first serve. Half of the movie experience was trying to get their early enough to get a good seat and if you didn’t, who cares it’s part of being apart of a society there’s always next time you can try getting your favorite seat. Oh and let’s not even talk about the price. When I used to watch new movies frequently the ticket would come out to $12.50, my most recent time going it was like 20 and change I think for a single ticket!
You’re damn right. The reserved seating system is ridiculous. It also sucks when you accidentally sit on someone else’s seat that they paid for. I also had a bad experience the last time I watched a movie with my dad when we went to see the movie Yesterday. I regret dragging him to go out to see that movie. I had to put up with the drama because he wasn’t happy with the seat I picked for him. Movie theaters should make some changes by making half of the auditoriums with no reserved seating as an option for anyone who doesn’t like having to pick out a seat in advance.
The reason that theaters charge so much for their food/drinks is because they only get 20% of the ticket sales for the first two weeks the movie is out so I will get a drink and popcorn just to help support my small local theater. After 2 weeks ye I am sneaking in food
Just recently when to watch John Wick 4 in 4DX let me tell you it’s fucken worth it and such an experience 😭 I’m kinda scared of watching Super Mario Bros because all them kids are going to be loud afff.
I once heard from an owner of a restaurant that it cost him like 4 cents per 20 ounce cup of soda. That was back in 2003 so it’s probably like 10 cents per 20oz now but still it’s a major money maker for the movies. Also go to the store and see how cheap popcorn is. They don’t even pop it in the theater anymore they just buy bags of the stuff in bulk and put it in that thing that warms it up before they sell it too you. Plus like the video states they are selling candy at ridiculously overinflated prices. It’s a total scam.
Okay funny thing just happened. I was so into this video talking about the fighting movie that I didn't realize an ad was playing but that's not the funny part. The funny part was that I got an ad for the exact same fighting movie he was just talking about which is where I didn't realize it because I thought it was just apart of the video until I saw that the second ad was playing & I was like wow where was I?
For me the kids who cry and scream and throw popcorn and poeple using their phone at the movies ruin the experience
I haven’t had to to deal with that thank god

I appreciate the love 💪🏾
Happy to see a brother who mixes the slushies at the theater. I stand with you. o7
I had a bad experience watching one of the x-men movies a long time ago where parents kept allowing their kids to keep talking throughout the movie.
@@legendaryTMNICO that happened with a Star Wars movie. Was so annoying
There's one I went to in Pearland, Tx where they actually sold liquor xD luxury seats, quite the experience if I do say so myself.
I agree with what you said about not being apart of the hype train, I felt the same way for the mario movie and across the spiderverse
It cost over $1000 to get a heat treatment and it didn't even work
I love a cold theater. But I agree with you. But I used to love going to the theater.
Tbh the last movie I saw in the theaters was The Batman. I still do enjoy going to the movies but it’s only something I go to if my friends are also available and have the extra funds, other than that I’m mostly about the streaming life
Sounds like the cold in theaters is to make you hungry by burning more calories for warmth.
Foh😂
That's why I just wait after the movie and buy food somewhere else
Tyyyyy a fellow hipster who doesn’t just eat up whatever twitter is nutting over this week (also havent seen attack on titan, Wednesday, i feel like im not alone)
I read the website wrong yesterday, so I went there and asked for tickets of a movie that wasn’t even out yet.
He got the unreleased
went to see It chapter 2 and the theatre was half empty, and this group of teenage black girls walked in halfway through the movie and was yelling/cackling like they were in the back of 'da club'. and i yell out "SHUTUP!" then they all jump up turn around and start yelling even louder, then another couple leaves, and another couple complains to management and they were promptly kicked out ... all the while, talking sht as they left X,D Everyone else was clapping and one of them even thanked me for getting the ball rollin' lol
bruh the theatres change but they never do X,D crowd was ready to go all Scary Movie on them
😂😂😂
my local cinema is pretty chill even though its a medium size one (4 rooms).
Movie theatre near me has $5 movie nights and it’s been amazing. I’ve been hanging out in there more than any other theatre
I would too Fr fr
my local movie theater is damn near empty so I don’t have to worry about any people. I can just pick and choose where I want to sit
Reserved seating sucks.
Your not wrong about the price going up and I use to work as a cashier in the movie theater and I was baffled by the price but we get like 10 or 20 percent off
Movie theaters are dying off
No bc ur so right about the crazy pricing of food and drinks.
I was sort of glad, and disappointed that not many people came😢
For now as of this comment it’s currently looking like my group will have an entire room to ourselves, especially since some days have passed since release😅 I kinda hope it stays that way for us
0:34 bro im like that i just dont get the trends.
Yeah shi be blowin me fr
I still go because the one I live nearby is empty as fuck sometimes and even better I get to vape my thc cart/pod or disposable while sneaking in a footlong subway sandwich sitting in the far back like a king lol
😂😂
one of the reasons I subscribe to you is because I want to try to see if it'd be a nice place to move to Birmingham Alabama I currently live in Farmington Missouri
Bru i went too see the new shazam movie and there was a hole family making noise.
That’s my biggest pet peeve

I really want to watch the Super Mario Bros Movie especially since it has Jack Black in it.

What?! Going to the movie theaters is still fun to me!
I'm sorry for your horrible experience at the movie theater.
My experience was the other way around when I went to Europe, the kids were polite and no one used their phones to text or call throughout the film
It seems like the movie theaters are behind on new movies in the UK.
Yea those cups were heat
ambition for cash in the background 🔥🔥🔥🔥

The movie theater is my favorite place to go. I go basically every week and I always try to go when they do sales. One theater near me offers all standard movie tickets for $4.75 on every Tuesday.
Yeah you have a point last time I went it was ok experience, but people kept on talking throughout the movie.
I woulda been zoned out
I'm going to pass. The movie gotta be epic for me to take my ass to the movies.
Fax 😂
That's why you wear a hoodie to the
Movies ( preferably a pull over )

When I went to see Super Mario Bros a few weeks back I decided to get a bottle water. And they was charging $6.25 for water! Yeah Dasani water. Yeah I went to see Evil Dead Rise last weekend I snuck my own drink that time.
The Mario movie is the only day when everyone is happy and excited for
As a Gen Z member I got to the cinema quite often I guess I'm apart of the majority but I enjoy seeing movies on a bigger screen I just got a really good deal on my cinema membership so I get to watch films for free basically and I just bring my own snacks and drinks.
I miss the midnight premiere era were you and your friends/family would stay up and enjoy the experience along with the crowd you would leave the theater feeling happy satisfied like u just experienced an epic magical thing 😩
Yes fire festival was like this high prices poor quality
I literally said to myself Rocky blocks with he's jaw, then you said he blocks with he's face XD Gotta love The Italian Stallion tho
Once 2019 ended and the pandemic started things haven’t been the same….
This was extremely incredible amazing job with the video I just Fucking love it keep doing of what your doing and keep on making great content.👍❤️❤️❤️👍
I appreciate the love man💪🏾
@@yvngmaali444 no problem.👌
Tbh the theater is the best way to experience movies. At home fucking sucks so bad.
Mmm idk about at home but it’s a koo vibe
@@yvngmaali444 Yeah. It kind depends what you wanna do. Theaters is for the experience. At home is for the movie itself. And I guess if you want to eat a steak with your movie.
Movie theaters being a dying institution has become less and less of an issue to me as my own memories of them aren't all that great; I just saw kiddie movies. I resort to streaming now and even then am way more focused on TV series than movies
I stopped going to movie theates but I still buy the movie popcorn if I'm going home to watch a movie.
when i go to Regal i will bring an empty water bottle with me because the drinks are close to the movie rooms and get a free slushie but i will just pay for a snack
I went to theater yesterday to watch the mario movie it was a good experience for me
What's that sound effect called at 2:51😂? I want to use it
Okay funny thing just happened.
