The Ultimate Messy Birthday Party

What do you do with a bunch of expired food??? Have a super fun messy party, of course! For David's 6th birthday, we decided to have a food theme. The party turned out pretty great and I think everyone had more fun at this party than at any of the other parties we have ever thrown! Our 1,000 balloon birthday used to be my favorite birthday party, but I think this one has taken its place :)

PLEASE READ: We did not buy any of this food! It was all donated by multiple entities because it was expired/non-saleable food. (hence all the completely random pasta--if we had purchased it, we would have chosen only spaghetti noodles, and probably not whole wheat pasta). we even made the chocolate pudding with expired soy milk. The foods were past their shelf life and not able to be sold by stores, but not to the point of being unsafe for the kids.
