for anyone who purchase this for ps5, to get it to work on native games you can purchase either the nramd new brook converter for fightpads (its what was used to let it work on xbox in the video but just updated specificly for ps5) or a magicboost 1.1 you can also buy the the ultimate converter (it will specify ps5 pass through) both are from mayflash you can plug the these convertors on the right side of the pad in the EXT port and when plugged into pc you are able to adjust the settings to what is known as "paasthrough mode" and listed as an arcade stick. Letting you play tekken 8/ sf6/dnf all with no issues.
Hey there I’m looking at g13 and magicboots for tekken 8 on ps5. if I go into the editor and allow pass-through and joystick mode, will this be a good set up for ps5? Some people have told me brook wingman but magicboots is half the price
@@nickhem12 i use the magicboots it just needs to be the 1.1 version of it picked it for the same reason can find it way cheaper its small and gets the job done a similar one is the pxn 5 adaptor . @@joelate1705 yes I play mk1 with it just be sure to get the newest one as the magiboost limited me to just well one item I wanted to have more options for plug in play
Can I plug a ps5 official fight stick into the side for authentication. I have a hori fight stick alpha but I want to try one of these. Also will it work for ps4 games on Ps5 without the authentication?
Hey, could you tell me which switches are compatible with these LEOBOG Graywood V4 sockets? I mean, could I just drop some MX Cherries into this thing?
I just got my shipping number for my glarses switches (to put in my stick buttons as well lmao) like a few days ago. So I'm sure you'll get yours soon!
It’s nice hearing your perspective of this, crazy to me to be honest. In the Fighting Game Community (FGC) we like linear switches because it gives us the fastest possible response from inputs!
I got the T16 since it fits my lap nicely. The S and T series also have low profile Kailh red switches which are a bit faster and feel decent. I'm getting back in to fighting games after decades and I love using this controller. After using WASD for decades on WoW, Borderlands, and everyting else, this feels natural. I won't play fighting games on my keyboard as my fingers tend to get lost fast but the t16 is a different story. Since I play on pc this purchase was a no brainer.
Personally using the Mountain Everest Max with their own speed switched which are pre-lubed, and changed the keycaps for Steelseries Prism keycaps. Also changed the wristrest to one from Wooting. Its not the best keyboard anyone, due to those analog switches from Gateron/Wooting, but its still pretty nice.
Ordered one of their controllers on the US Amazon store (I live in Europe) two weeks ago, but no shipping yet. To be fair it's still well before the estimated delivery date, but I guess they have major supply issues.
Prices are also going up and delivery times are being pushed back. Last night the T16 said estimated late february, few hours later it said late march to april
@@Albertredneck As far as I know the G Series is compatible with MX Cherry switches, because it uses LEOBOG Graywood V4 switches, but the ones like T, M and S are not, because they use Kailh Choc V2 switches, which should be compatible with only other Chocs. I am not 100% sure, but this is what I heard and read.
These come with low-profile kailh red switches and gamerfinger buttons. All of these parts are made in China if you doubt that they can be sold cheaply (without FGC price gouging).
@@Albertredneck No. If you look at G16's being sold under different branding (like Sehawei), these things have Gamerfinger buttons. The confusion is likely due to how China handles copyright laws. You can use China for cheap production but, when they're done with your order, they're gonna keep using the same machines to keep selling your designs.... just with a weird name and maybe a few tweaks.
The switches are LEOBOG Graywood V4's, its listed on the product page at the bottom. The top microswitches are not membrane, they are microswitches. The keycaps are moulded plastic which is a huge deal when you can spend $400 on a custom hitboax and get 3d printed caps. The EXT port is for plugging a PS controller into so you dont get locked out after 8 mins for using an unliscenced controller. You didnt test this with a single fighting game did you? It's not a smashbox, it isnt for Super Smash bros. Its for Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Street fighter, Guilty Gear etc. Stick to reviewing things you have knowledge about, or at least bother to read the product page on.
The way this dude grimaced when talking about linear switches and his inability to read product pages are great hints to why you should never trust a review from this man.
From what I've heard it doesn't work with PS4/5 out of the box. Seems like you have to upload some serial key files (which you can apparently get off of a real PS controller) to the Haute controller through the web configurator. So it doesn't sound like much additional work if you own a PS controller, but if you don't then you'd probably need to buy one or some kind of adapter.
You can buy a mayflash ultimate and plug it into the usb a port on the right side. I just got my haute42 s16 yesterday and it works with tekken 8 and ps5 using this adapter. The only thing i don’t like about it is the adapter is huge and sticks out a lot. I may try the mayflash magic boots to see if that works - it’s a lot smaller.
Could you possibly do a review on terios hall effect ps4 controllers? It seems as it the hall effect market it cluttered with xbox and switch controller, but I've been unable to find a good, budget hall effect ps4 controller
O_O Linear swtiches are like go to for FPS games lol. Like All new rapid trigger craze switches with HALL effect are linear. Non linear switches are mostly not for gaming, but typing.
Mmmmmmm, hotdog water. I could never get my egg basket to wrap around on how to use a hit box, so I always have to use an old-fashioned arcade stick for my fighting games. Which I'm terrible at.
So I dont play Tekken, but I can break the controller down for you. Bare minimum 12 is A, B, X, Y, up, down, left, right, RT, LT, RB, LB. G13 is that plus an additional up button which is the button you see above the down button. G16 iirc adds 2 LS buttons (left stick click) and 1 RS button.
You're not supposed to use it as WASD. You're supposed to use three buttons for left, down, right, and then thumb for jump.

They were dealing with Chinese New Year and were off for a month. They're back in action now.
I recently got the Tecware 87+ Elite with orange tactile switches and I absolutely love it. Sounds and feels amazing for $80.

It does display what switches they are on the website, on the bottom of the landing page. They're Leobog graywood v4.
A new controller for my MK gameplay

I would recommend the T an M series, they are my favorite. Very nice review.

bud, tactiles or clicky switches for fighting games are dogshit in a hitbox setting. Linears are always preferred

Yup, tactile make finger stiff. And the travel take too long
Can you rebind all the keys? I don't like the default control scheme on here.
