I love the way Germans dressed, very classy. Glad they were able, by their hard work , to make Germany beautiful again.
Would love to visit, hopefully , one day.

Ich bin von Berlin so viele Erinnerungen kenne den Wannsee sehr gut bin immer dort zum baden gegangen . Lebe jetzt in America aber ich hab noch einen Koffer in Berlin .
It’s amazing to me to see how the West Germans and Berliners were able to re-build their country in such a short time. I know there were still ruins in 1955 but the films I’ve seen of the mid-to-late 50s to 60s show little of that.
Super, wer steckt eigentlich hinter diesem Account. Unglaubliche Aufnahmen in Farbe, die es noch nicht einmal im TV zu sehen gibt. Klasse. 6 Jahre VOR dem Mauerbau, aber auch die anderen Videos sind einmalige Zeitdokumente.
Than you so very much for posting this video! Mom from Berlin, Dad stationed there and I remember going to Wannsee in the early and late 60's! Still have photos of my sisters and I at Wannsee. I used to love the German ice cream cones that we would have after we had played in the water for awhile. If I remember correctly there were also beautiful peacocks somewhere close by. I'm glad you showed the entrance and the water slide. I could smell the lake as soon as I stepped down the stairs to the entrance and walked on the sand:)

Mir ist aufgefallen, dass die Leute damals nicht übergewichtig waren. Bringt gute Erinnerungen zurück. An meine Kindheit.👍❣😎
Wir waren das was man heute Arm nennt, aber wir hatten einen Garten, es wurde eingekocht und getrocknet, das Dorf Wannsee (Altwannsee) war nch sehr ländlich und man hat untereinander abgegeben.Es gab gebug Essen, aber Fett werden konnte man nicht davon
I was truly blessed to have lived there during my early formative years (9-13) and remember having spent many a summer afternoon afternoon at the nearby Grunewaldsee. My father was stationed there for 3&1/2 years and was allowed to bring his family.
So much space to walk and drive then. Now it's all congested.
Die Frauen waren damals weiblicher, haben mehr Wert auf schicke, modische Kleidung gelegt.

Amazing recovery in just 10 years from total and complete construction. They would soon again have the strongest economy in Europe. A hard working people. Too bad an insane maniac with incredible oratory skills led them into madness with him.

It doesn´t even seem like 10 years ago Berlin was destroyed
It is hard to imagine that 10 years earlier there were still concentration camps there.
Wannsee is where Hitler and his goods decided upon the final solution. This was the rest and recreational zone for the nazis and the citizens of Berlin. Therefore no concentration camps nearly.
