16 April 2024 I was here…. Cold Sunday morning listening to this masterpiece and reflecting about my life…. Even when I’m gone this comment remains here for the future viewers
Evergreen...my dad always play this album back in the 80's when he was alive. We're yorubas, we love it eventhough we didn't know the meaning, it ministered Christ Jesus to us.
When gospel ministers sit down, reflect on God, scriptures and the world occurrences to sing inspirational songs that draws people to Christ or back to Christ and not just for entertainment and money.
Great gospel song of old. Today it is all about money, riches, prosperity preaching and worldly glory. No longer about the way of the Lord and salvation.
In Ogoni land once u play this song people already see u as a true child of God, it always remind me of my mom while she was alive, u can't play any other song in our house when my mom is at, it must be bro Okwey album or turn off the music to the extend my dad who used to criticized her of replacing igbo song with our songs ( Ogoni song) started buying bro okweys songs and started advising us to always play his songs instead of playing other songs that doesn't glorify God and that was how me and my siblings became his big fans even as we didn't understand the songs back then, after some years I found it online and continue playing. Today it was this song that saved my life. I got repented through this song, bro okwey is my favorite I wish to see him one day❤
October 2024 Here reminiscing Old time memories. My mom’s favorite song, grew up with this song buried in my mind and sparked up feelings when ever I hear it
Patty Obassey, Bro Okwey and Luke Ezeji..... Made some classic gospel music that are evergreen. I hope to introduce my kids to their songs. Profound gospel music like this brings back memories of my early Christian life.
let be on record I'm here nonce again in 10 November 2024 to meditate on this great masterpiece by bro Okwey, after yer 2000 then I was still very tender but today I'm a man with family of my own and still listening.
I remember when my mom always played this on our vcd every morning on repeat then 😭 I used to dislike it. Now I'm older and I know better. 16:40 - 24:29 reminds me of my parents and the good ol' innocent days. It was my mom's favorite part. I'm honestly trying not to cry right now because Unfortunately my dad is late and things will never be the same again. I have questions I wished I asked early. Unfortunately, he is no longer here to answer. But I believe he is right here in my heart. That's part of him I'll forever hold on to.
These were the days when GOD, SIN, REPENTANCE, JUDGEMENT, HEAVEN, HELL were preached raw without sugarcoating it. Lord God her mercy on us for we hav sinned.
Thank God I finally got this piece. It has really made my night, reflecting my life, full of emotions. I had the opportunity to listen to this message in those days when I was growing up. I found it again on Facebook today and rushed to UA-cam. Have mercy on me Father Almighty God and bless bro Okwey.
"I remember dis songs back in d 80's when my father plays it... I just hope bro okwey is still alive he made growing up worth while...i love d melody Even though I don't understand the lyrics...but I know it a meaningful song "God bless u sir...!!!
This song was played as my mum's coffin was being placed in the ground. It still brings memories that make me cry today. "Roputa onwe unu taa, onye unu ga-efe ofufe n'uwa" echoes the instruction from Joshua to the Israelites and translates as "Choose for yourselves today, whom you all will serve on this earth"
I don't even know which is my best track. You guys said it all. Nostalgic feelings. This song alone is enough to teach you morals those days because of fear of going to hell. Thanks Bro Okwey . I hope he is still alive.
I don't understand what they're saying but i feel so sober listening to it. Our neighbour used to play it in the early 90s. The world has really changed.
This songs are over 30 years old. One of my neighbours use to play them none stop on a daily basis, then I was a teenager, now I am nearly 50 years old. I heard it again on Facebook this morning and I went on UA-cam to look for it today 29/10/2024 They are some of the songs that hold lots of my childhood memories.
Oct 24th 2024, i am here listening to this song, with pain in my heart because a very vibrant young guy was buried today in UGA Anambra state, 30years for that matter, a bread winner of the family, No father No Mother
The lyrics is so Spirit filled! Wonderful song......Gospel Artist of old sang through the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Panam Percy Paul was also from that era
2024 😢Jst say a post on Facebook a guy open a beer 🍺 by drawing line on d floor this was d background music 🎶 I use to hear this music from one Mr ifeayi widow when I was 5-7 now am 37yrs good tunes
I love you daddy, may your beautiful soul continue to rest in the Lord's bossom. Wow! I remeber when you (dad) used to put this music om repeat in the house every sunday morning before we leave for Sunday service. My mum sings the songs a lot mostly in times when she feels the world needs Christ intervention and that usually when there is increased cost of living.😢
Each time I hear this song I'm filled with tears literally, ut reminds me of my childhood and how close i was to God , but now I'm struggling to return to God, but I'll keep fighting, God help me
Glory be to God i saw this song. Im Idoma by tribe from Benue State. I could understand some igbo language spoken here. Im so joyful now. God bless the Bishop and his crew for giving us this diadem of salvation songs.
This song is a salvation song mind you I’m crying why typing this because it gives me this old memories of the good old days on Saturday morning when it’s played on vcd to do morning chores with my dad listening to it but now he’s now more😢 but he still leaves in my heart… I will never forget you dad 😭😭😭 . God please forgive me Amen 25 of September 2024
Today 17th September 2024, I'm here listening to this wonderful song that touches the soul, from my childhood i have loved and still love this masterpiece
I grew up with this music..... Papa Nkem used to play the complete album and those of the Voices of the Cross..... I missed home.... God bless you all.... And I love the written captions too..... I am Idoma, however my parents speak fluent Ibo language.... I love Nigeria ❤❤❤❤
It was this music 🎵 that always reminds us that today is Sunday back then in police barracks Port Harcourt. Then we'll prepare and go to church. But those playing the music 🎵 don't go to church, you'll see them playing draft as early as 6AM., This should be in the early 80's
Prince Camillus Elias and Helen Nkume. These were the real gospel artists of our childhood. They sang to our heart in the true and pure name of God. God bless all of them ❤
I am emotional on this 1st day of October 2024 as i remember my childhood when my dad was still with us. What a transient world. Thank you bro Okwey for this spirit filled song.
The song holds a special place in my heart. This is my whole childhood in one piece. It's a Song that enriches and uplifts the soul. Remembering my dad Okaa ovuru uzo. God continue to rest his soul. Amen
These songs and their ministers remind me about our short stay here on Earth. However, it pains me that the devil has successfully deceived and lured so many Christians who were raised in this old times pattern into worldliness of no return. Those who use to defend Christ Jesus are now mockers of the word? May the lord God almighty, grant me and other faithful Believers the grace and mercy to make Heaven at last. Amen.

As it should always be🙏🏽
Today is about tithe
Not this tithe seeking demi gods
Great gospel song of old.
Today it is all about money, riches, prosperity preaching and worldly glory. No longer about the way of the Lord and salvation.
