This is good advice. I also have to say, in my experience anyway, that the high quality bags that Cornell & Diehl bulk tobacco comes in are excellent at keeping the tobacco fresh for months if you're not able to can them properly right away. I'm always impressed by that.
That's what I like to hear, exactly what I recently did after opening a bag of blended tobacco unopened for about ten years, more or less, put it in a mason jar. I'm suddenly smart (in my eyes only :-)
